“What I enjoy about dermatology is that you can see the results. There’s an art to it and I probably enjoy the artistic element more than anything. It is rewarding to help people improve their self-esteem as well as feel better physically”

Feel Secure & Taken Care Of

I always feel secure when Dr. Jochen sees me , meaning I feel he looks at everything and makes sure his diagnosis is correct. I also know that he is professional and expects his staff to be the same. I was disappointed in the staff previously and I talked to him about it and they have improved and have been great. With the volume of patients here they do a fantastic job. I know I couldn't do...

Don't Go Anywhere else

I have done extensive research for the best place to go for my cosmetic procedures and I wouldn't go anywhere else except for Contour Dermatology. The staff from the front desk, to the nurse practitioners to Dr. Jochen are friendly, informative, and pure professionals. I drive 3 hours just to go to Contour Dermatology. Dr. Jochen doesn't allow his patients to look like they have had anything...

I Had Good Results with a Good Doctor for my Procedure

I recently had some skin tags zapped off. Previously I had an Ultra Pulse full face CO2 full face laser many years ago. I wanted to have this procedure redone . I did not want to have to have anesthesia as I had years ago. Dr. Jochen said he does this procedure under Lidocaine. I was unsure that he would be able to go as deep as possible to get the best result. He assured me it will be...

Awesome...do it!

Excellent! Staff is superior! So glad I had it done! The staff was very experienced and answered any and all of the questions I had. They were honest with what I should expect, not only during the process but my results.

Outstanding Technician and Consultants.

The staff is superior. Friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. The procedure was very comfortable and the technician was supportive, skilled and attentive. As for the procedure I had mixed results but can appreciate that body type and area treated are significant factors. Have realistic expectations as it is not surgery which may be the true route. I would say small areas treated probably is...

Q: Non-Invasive Procedure to Remove Double Chin
Answered by Dr. JochenMarch 5, 2020

A: In our practice, we offer both Kybella and CoolMini for non-invasive chin fat reduction. To determine if you're a candidate for either procedure, request a consultation with someone who is an expert in this procedure so that a treatment plan can be tailored to your specific goals.

CoolMini is FDA cleared to reduce the fat in your double chin. It is a fat freezing procedure like CoolSculpting, but with a small hand piece that tucks perfectly under your chin. CoolSculpting is a fat reduction technique that is designed for those stubborn fat that resists exercise and diet. It is non-invasive and non-surgical.

Kybella is a solution of dexacholic acid which is injected into the skin. This acid is naturally occurring in the body and breaks down fat over time. Multiple treatments is usually required to see full results.

Q: What is the best procedure for tightening the skin on my thighs? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. JochenJanuary 9, 2020

A: Thank you for your question and for providing a photo. I would recommend VelaShape for you and the result you wish to see as it helps tighten skin and is great for post weight loss.  It is a non-invasive procedure that combines four different technologies of infrared, bi-polar radio frequency, pulsed vacuum, and massage rollers to improve skin texture and reduce overall volume.

Q: If I Get a Chemical Peel on my Shoulders Where my Tattoo is What Will It Do?
Answered by Dr. JochenJanuary 2, 2012

A: Chemical peels should not affect a tattoo. It would, of course, depend on the chemical peel itself; the actual chemicals and acids compounded to make the specific peel.  It would also depend on the intensity of the peel - superficial or deep.  In regards to tattoos, as we all age, the tattoo will lighten and the skin will lose collagen, so the tattoo over time, will also not look as “fresh” as you first get them.

Q: How is Restylane More Effective for Upper Lip Lines?
Answered by Dr. JochenJanuary 2, 2012

A: Restylane is great for treating the lines of the upper lip, but you can also use Juvéderm or Perlane.  Restylane and Juvéderm are ideal because they have a very soft and natural look and feel and therefore are good for filling the fine lines of the upper lip.  The Fraxel or fractional CO2 are lasers also are effective for treating the fine lines of the upper lip.  Depending on the severity of the lines you may be a candidate for both laser and fillers.
