They took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure, answer my questions and set realistic expectations. The surgery itself went smoothly and the recovery, although long but as I expected. I saw Dr. Ackerman for a septorhinoplasty. I had actually had submitted a deposit for a different surgeon but was scared away by former patients. I decided to do more research and came across Dr. Ackerman. Although his forte seems to be facelifts, I read some interview where he disclosed that he began his journey in reconstructive surgery. I booked a consultation and Kimberly, the coordinator, was so informative and so kind. The consultation was unlike other consultations I had. Dr. Ackerman spent at least an hour with me, going over my problems, desires, and expectations-- realistic ones. Where the initial surgeon made me so many promises and tried to upsell me on other procedures, Dr. Ackerman was confident in his ability to improve my nose structure, breathing issues, as well as give me a natural and more balanced look. He was honest with me in that my sinusitis would not be cured as it was likely environmentally triggered (something confirmed by an allergist) but that my breathing would improve nonetheless. No upselling, no fake promises, no request for photos of Hollywood stars for inspiration photos. He explained that my nose was already slightly upturned and turning it up too much would be unsightly-- something I always panicked about but he was the only doctor to affirm that. The coordinator didn't pressure me AT ALL. She even encouraged I sleep on it and continue my research but provided me with all the information I needed -- the quote, insurance questions, she even showed me an entire album of his rhinoplasty patients-- all whose results were excellent. No cookie cutter noses, he made sure to suit noses to individuals' faces. I had been pressured by the initial surgeon's office to secure my quote with a deposit as that doctor was allegedly booked out several months in advance and prices would only go up (that consultation also lasted 15 minutes compared to Dr. Ackerman's). I felt foolish for falling for the tactics and after meeting Dr. Ackerman and all of the lovely staff, one thing was certain. Dr. Ackerman is not out for all the money he can get from you, nor is he out for fame and glory. The impression I got (and still get from him) is that if he's signing his name off on something, it better be at its highest possible standard. He truly seems to care about his work and in turn, about his patients. My results so far have been incredible and I still have a ton of healing to do and swelling left to be reduced. I can breathe better than I ever thought possible. Honestly, it felt like too much air at first but now I can notice my sleep and concentration have improved greatly. It might be too early at this juncture to know if everything will end up exactly right but so far, I have no reason to believe it won't. I recommend Dr. Ackerman but don't just take my word for it. Book various consultations and truly experience the difference between a salesperson and an incredible surgeon and find out for yourself.

Dr Ackerman is a true artist! I am 7 months post op from and lower face and neck lift with lip lift. My scars are nearly invisible and I am constantly getting compliments on how great my face looks. I never hesitate to tell people I’ve had work done and refer Dr Ackerman. I researched for three years to find the right doctor I could trust with my face. Dr Ackerman exceeded my expectations.

Doctor Ackerman is both a gentleman and a professional. His office and his staff are nothing but stellar. In the initial consultation he gave me completed information of what my choices were and the risks. Then on the date of surgery, the office was serene and stress-free, making it easy for me to continue with the process. my explant surgery was more complicated than the average and Doctor Ackerman had to do a lot of extra work. Thank God he was the doctor, because anywhere else could potentially have been a hatchet job. I still look amazing, and all the health risks that I was experiencing with the implants are gone. Needless to say, I’m entering the holiday season a very happy customer. We also did laser under the eyes and freshen things up a little bit for me. All of this was done in a very professional way, and I wouldn’t consider , any other doctor for any procedure.

After doing research in Realself, Yelp, Google and Aedit and decide to go with deep pane facelift which resulted in longer lasting outcome. Consulted with three doctors and two doctors do not offer deep pane but their own signature facelift which I am not excited. Deep pane facelift needs a very skill doctor and also willing to spend time in the procedure. I found Dr. Boris Ackerman, he is full of confident and his 30+ years experience with track records on deep pane facelift sold me. He is like a professor or/and magician in his field, very knowledgeable and his incisions and stitches are seamless, you do not see any visible sign that you have surgery and there is NO pain. All my friends told me that I have good skin and people start calling me young lady, LOL. Dr Ackerman takes pride with his work and even after 3 and 4 months, Dr. Ackerman still want to see his patients' progress, he enjoys his work as much as you enjoy your new look. I highly recommended Dr Ackerman.

Dr. Ackerman is truly the best in his field! He specializes in the face and is meticulous in his work. I am so happy with my results. I wish I did it sooner! I am 6 weeks after surgery and I am amazed that my face looks 15 years younger (no joke). You can barely see the incisions after only 6 weeks. I didn't really have any pain at all either. When you are dealing with your face you want someone with extensive experience and the knowledge Dr. Ackerman has. My experience has been top notch from start to finish. Also there is nobody better than Kimberly in the office! It is because of her kindness and knowledge, I had my initial consultation with Dr. Ackerman and I am so glad I did. If you want the best Dr. Ackerman and his entire staff are who you want!

I have been meaning to write this review for a very long time. Dr Ackerman has changed my life, he has made me look the way I feel on the inside :) his soul is forever in my prayers lol!!! Let me give you some context I am a perfectionist & used to be a makeup artist and now esthetician all I have worked with is faces and bringing symmetry to it. I researched 5 doctors went to 3 consultations and he was the man I chose. He is very direct and does not BS... he told me what he thought I needed done and it aligned with all the things I wanted changed. He did my nose in 2014 and It's beyond perfection (it was a revision, I got my first one when I was in high school and it was trash but helped me get through teenage years).. In 2018 I went back for lipo in my chin and I have gained 15 lbs since.. my profile is still pretty snatched. I have people always telling me how I have a perfect face LOLLLL!! Best compliment ever. I hope this review helps someone looking for rhinoplasty or anything else as I did all the research and Dr. Ackerman is an amazing surgeon, attention to detail, perfectionist. I AM HAPPY. (I will post pictures eventually) I got the urge to post this now because I was searching some serious procedures I am interested in getting in the future and It made me realize how helpful these reviews are and how thankful I am for people who share!

I looked in to a lot surgeons for the past 3 years.I did my research. I was very leery about getting surgery done. Finally I decided to go with Dr. Boris Ackerman and I was pleasantly surprised with his professionalism and knowledge. The night before surgery the anesthesiologist called me to get Info about me and to understand how my body would react. I have never experienced that so I was very confident and comfortable with the procedure because of all the steps they took to get to know my body and me. The post operative care has been very thorough as well. I don’t think I would go to anyone else, I highly recommend Dr Boris Ackerman
