Dr. Choi is a true artist. His work is amazing, detailed, beautiful, and incredibly natural. He never recommends unnecessary work. Furthermore, he’s very honest and realistic about results. My results were even better than I’d ever imagined :) and I can’t stop talking to my friends and family about them! I felt very nervous going into this, like I hesitated about scheduling it at first. But sometimes life is short and you gotta do what makes you happy. I'm so glad I decided to pursue my surgery. I truly did not feel any pain at all during the procedure. I didn't feel awake at all during the surgery. Before I knew it, the surgery was done! The nurse and front desk ladies were super nice and helpful. They were very patient in answering all of my questions and really helped me throughout the entire process. I’m very grateful for Dr Choi and his team! My pro tip: Always have a reference photo of your desired results! A picture speaks a thousand words. A clear reference photo can make a huge difference in helping Dr. Choi and his team understand your goals and help you achieve the results you want. If you tell him exactly what you want, provide reference photos, and make sure you follow all of his staff's pre-care and after-care tips, you can get life-changing results :) My only regret? Not going to see Dr. Choi sooner!!!

I have been researching for a surgeon to do my double eyelid surgery for 2 years now and have been scared to commit to any surgeon. I even thought about traveling to Korea with my mom to get it done. As an asian girl, I've struggled using tape and eyelashes for my eyes everyday! What made me consult with Dr. Choi was his years of experience in this field and based on other people's results/Dr. Choi's work. Dr. Choi took the time to listen to what I wanted while giving me his opinion when I asked for it. At the end of it all, I just put my full faith and trust in him. Recovery process was smooth and I felt no pain. I did what was asked of me- to ice it and apply ointment. What sets him apart from other eyelid surgeons is his surgical skill with such artistry and precision of being able to execute so well of what I wanted. He was able to execute it so well! I feel my confidence back and I can't thank him enough for the work that he does! I've actually gotten so many compliments already on my eyes. The nurse took great care of me from the beginning as well. Front desk Angela was such a great help throughout this whole process too. They have an incredible and efficient team there.

This is a long overdue review, all I have to say is that Dr Choi is an amazing, skillful and caring doctor with great aesthetics. His incision is thin and left no scar, he understood and did exactly what I asked for and went above and beyond to gave me the result even better than I imagined, I was really impressed by my result. I also did my Botox with him and the result and experience is absolutely incredible. The staff at VIP are really caring and friendly, they took good care of me, my experience there was great. I would highly recommend Dr. Choi and VIP Plastic Surgery to anyone.

I was very impressed by Dr. Choi. I am a VERY DETAILED and specific person who knew what I wanted. He understood perfectly what I wanted. I could sense his years and years of experience, he let me know what was achievable. The procedure was done while I was asleep, and I had no complaints about any post op pain. Did have some dry eye issues that went away in 3 days. The hardest part of the whole process is getting your stitches removed from your eyelids. I'd rather get kicked in the balls then experience it, but it's necessary. About 1 month later, I had no hypertrophic scaring at all, thank god. Incision lines are still slightly red, but they are mostly hidden by the eyelid crease. The difference is night and day. He did such a good job that I will be coming again in a few months to get additional work done!

I have been a patient of Dr. Andrew Choi for a long time, particularly for a facial injectable collagen stimulation, and very satisfied with the outcome. Dr. Choi and his assistant have gone above and beyond every time. They are extremely attentive, informative, and make patients feel comfortable. The office staff is very friendly, especially Karen at the front desk, my visits have been always pleasant, highly recommend this wonderful team!

My experience with Dr Choi overall was good. He is clearly very experienced and knows what he is doing. I flew out to LA and stayed for a week while getting my double eyelid surgery and medial epicanthoplasty. The operation itself was a breeze and they took great care of me. I didn't feel any pain during or after surgery at any point in time. My only complaint was the nurse who removed my stitches was very rough and didn't do the best job. There was some pieces of stitches left that I had to remove myself weeks later at home. This is understandable as the stitches are very small and difficult to see. Other than that it was perfect. I am satisfied with the results I have received and would recommend Dr Choi to anyone seeking double eyelid surgery.

I am Korean and had wanted to have the double eyelid surgery for a while. I had done some research online and found Dr. Andrew Choi in Los Angeles. I had read that he had done over 20,000 surgeries and he wrote an article on Asian eyelid surgery that was published in the Facial Plastic Times and it's used as a reference article for doctors who want to pursue such a career in this field. After reading that I felt comfortable because he has had extensive experience with eyelid surgery. I lived in Northern California at the time so I had a virtual consultation with him. I was pleased with the consult and a couple months later I scheduled my surgery for the following month. I flew down to LA the night before and I had the surgery at 9am the next morning. His staff was very professional and friendly. The facility is clean and I felt comfortable. I flew home and I had been in contact with his office and they were always good at getting back to me if I had any questions or concerns. I've included my before and after pictures and I am very pleased and would have him perform the surgery again and I would recommend him to anyone who is interested in having the surgery done. I did upper blepharoplasty and inner canthoplasty with Dr. Choi and am EXTREMELY satisfied with the results. Dr. Choi is a very honest, thorough, and patient doctor. He took the time to explain his vision while also listening and asking me what I wanted. What’s great is that during the consultation they are able to transfer your pictures onto a big screen which the doctor can draw over from his Ipad. This is great because he will use this as a tool to help us visualize the process and what the final result will look like. I never felt rushed or pressured. In fact, Dr. Choi was very calm and laid back, which I find very refreshing. I could tell that he takes pride in his work and is not just in this business for money. In fact, I thought his pricing to be very fair and reasonable. I know some doctors who would charge 2-3x the price with results that aren’t even as good. On the day of surgery, I was worried that I would be rushed into surgery right away, but before surgery he consults with you again to discuss the results you want and to explain the surgery plan. After surgery I never felt any pain, just swelling which is normal. As far as my results, I was looking for a natural eye crease that lifts and fits my eye shape and inner canthoplasty that would give me more of an almond eye shape. Dr. Choi delivered on both. I couldn’t be more happy with my results because it is exactly what I envisioned. Also, no obvious scarring, which is due to the doctor’s technique and skill. Not to mention, his staff were very kind and accommodating. I had to schedule my surgery pretty last minute because I was planning to move and even though their schedule was booked 3 months in advance they were able to add me due to a cancellation.

I had primary DES at 17 years old in South Korea. Eventually the folds became loose and small. I finally decided to get revision. I found out about Dr. Choi through a forum (PF) and heard good reviews and about his affordability. It was a quick process to schedule a video consultation. He told me I had a lot of fat on my upper eyelid. Our call was no longer than 15 minutes. We rescheduled my surgery a few times because I needed my psychiatrist's consent because of my mental health medications (which did not interfere with surgery.) On the day of surgery, the doctor was 20 minutes late. The receptionist went over aftercare during this time and I waited for doctor to arrive. When he arrived we discussed the size and style, and I showed him pictures of the eyes I liked. I wanted big, cat eye outfolds with the outer side being as high as possible for a fox/cateye look. We spent less than 15 minutes discussing his plans and him showing me on one eye (until I asked him to also show me on the other) what it would look like. I definitely felt like we could've spent a little more time here. Then I went to change for surgery and was laid down and IV'd. Doctor began drawing on my eyes and I eventually fell asleep and woke up after the surgery was done. They put and ice pack on my eyes for a bit then I changed and waited in a wheelchair for quite a while for the doctor to check me out. I saw that my eyes were uneven and he said it was because of the swelling. I was then wheeled out to my driver's car with my post-op bag. I'm currently 3 days post-op and putting the prescription ointment on twice a day, drinking arnica tea 3x a day, and taking bromelain twice a day along with my usual daily supplements. I hope my eyes even out as the swelling goes down, I'm trying not to be anxious about it since it's so soon. Updated on 13 Dec 2021: My initial upload was cut off so I’m re-uploading next time I’m on my laptop. Also, I talked to the doctor about epicanthoplasty revision/reversal, because I researched it being done in South Korea, and he said it was not possible and would lead to more pink show. I’m not sure if this is true or not as I know of multiple clinics like Eve and Machimpyo that does it. Anyway, my epi looks more acceptable after this double eyelid surgery so I don’t think I will look further into it.

Dr. Choi is a calm, patient, skilled surgeon with 37 years of experience. His stitching is meticulous and his work leans on the natural, conservative side. I have been going to him for various procedures since 2014. During consultations he communicates thoroughly to understand what you want. There is no pressure to do any procedures. Quickly after the consultation he will give you various recommendations and prices to create your desired look. Starting with temporary injectables, lasers, etc. which may fix your issues easier and with less downtime. Then later with surgical options if these do not solve your problems. Over the years I had an upper blepharoplasty, subciliary under brow eyelid lift, removed moles on my face and neck. In October 2021 I had an Ulthera Endymd treatment. The surgical procedures were done with local anesthesia in the office with the help of one nurse. This is a simple, practical place, no frills and fair prices. You are not paying for spa or therapy sessions. This is a place to get results. I highly recommend Dr. Choi.
