The redness and pore size are both addressed by Laser Genesis very effectively, targeted IPL will treat sun damage (even some you might not see!) and help with overall tightening. Laser Genesis is also great for sensitive skin as it's a gentle laser compared to some other treatments on the market. I would recommend an IPL laser to address the discoloration and hyperpigmentation, and a separate treatment for your under eye wrinkles. Laser resurfacing will likely provide you with more drastic results than a chemical peel in general, but another option to research would be microneedling with radio frequency. This would differ from your first microneedling procedures because a device like the Secret RF emits controlled radio frequency to the targeted areas while the needles are under the skin bed. The result is a huge increase in collagen production and an overall smoother appearance in the treated area.

I agree with the above answers- but would like to add the Pearl and Pearl Fractional lasers as alternative ablative treatments as well. I've seen great results from these particular lasers and a reduction in downtime with Pearl Fractional as it leaves pre determined portions of the skin in tact.

You can absolutely resurface other areas of the body besides the face! It just so happens that patients are often most concerned with preserving their face but there is no reason that treatments such as chemical peels, microneedling with radio frequency, IPL, laser genesis etc can't be done on your arms, legs or backside. Based on your photos, I would recommend looking into laser genesis to address the redness that's present in many of your scars- but I scheduling an appointment with your skincare provider is always the first step in developing a customized treatment plan.

The results you're describing are not typical of a laser genesis treatment, and don't align with anything I've seen in my office. The procedure is a very gentle one, and typically it takes multiple sessions to see results, making the skin laxity you mention even more puzzling. Did your provider take before and after photos that you could compare to? If you are concerned by the nasolabial folds around your mouth I would recommend a dermal filler, but I'd be curious to know if the lines are a result of the laser genesis or simply concurrent with your aging process and developed independently? I would strongly suggest following up with your provider.

If you're looking to address skin laxity, a mid face lift may be a great option. However after reviewing your photos I think you would be an ideal candidate for a few options that don't involve surgery. Sculptra is an injectable that stimulates your body's collagen production and will drastically help in volumizing your face and adding some of the youthful fullness you're after. A liquid facelift would also help add volume to the areas you've lost it. If you're looking to undergo surgery I would research fat grafting to the face rather than a mid face lift.

I'm in my late 30s and was starting to feel self conscious about the loss of volume in my face. I had my abdominoplasty almost 2 years ago with Dr. Maki, and am still in awe of my results and of his professionalism. I was a bit of a unique case in that I was already taking medication that reduces the effectiveness of pain meds, but Dr. Maki was able to figure out how to keep me from feeling pain by injecting me with exparel rather than what they normally used. I didn't feel a thing for 3 days after surgery and even once the medication wore off recovery was much easier than I expected. My scar is not visible when clothed. Additionally, my abdominal muscles were completely destroyed after having four big healthy babies with polyhydramnios. Maki was able to pull me in 11 inches!! I'm so grateful that I found him and that I decided to go through with the surgery, highly recommend him if you're looking for a doctor in LA as he was able to keep me feeling calm and comfortable throughout the entire process, and gave me incredible results.
