52 Year Old, started with mild/moderate crowding, now sorry I did it- Long Beach, CA

I had been going to her for many years for regular dental work prior to this, and liked the office etc, but I do feel less positive now that I've been through this treatment. I kind of wonder whether this is something that should be done by an orthodontist, rather than a dentist "dabbling" in orthodontic work. When something would go wrong (two trays were improperly built, so they did not line up with the bonding blobs), she would not really know how to respond, so I felt that I was basically being treated with the "plan" devised by the high tech measuring device and the high tech lab which produces the trays off in some factory. The dentist merely passes them out. Most of the high-skill tasks, such as attaching bonding blobs to line up with new tray, would be done by her support staff anyway, so the role of the actual dentist was very minimal. Had everything gone perfectly, I wouldn't have objected to that, but since I had issues, it was obvious that she had a very limited ability to contribute.
