I was referred to Dr. Chen from my primary care doctor and I must say it has been a very pleasant experience. I am 75 years old and had a ruptured implant that was very old. Dr.Chen removed my old implants and inserted new ones. I did not even need to take any pain medication after surgery. I felt great the next day and no problems two weeks post op. Dr. Chen is very soft spoken, calm and cautious. She always answered all of my questions and I never felt rushed. Her follow up care for me has been fantastic and her staff is top notch with their communication and coordination of everything. I would highly recommend Dr. Joyce Chen. Her patient rapport is wonderful!

I had become more self-conscious about my appearance and how my clothes fit. I reached out to Dr. Chen for a consultation and she explained what to expect in regards to the procedure and recovery afterwards as well as having realistic expectations of the outcome that can take up to 6 months to fully realize. I did it and I'm very pleased with the results. I feel more comfortable with the fit of my clothing. I'm not as self-conscious with my appearance. I actually enjoy shopping for clothes. I scheduled my procedures on a Friday and returned to work on Monday. Yes, you do have to wear compression garments under your clothing for several weeks, but it was easy to get used to. The pain was minimal and manageable with Tylenol. I appreciate that Dr. Chen has supported me through the whole process with several post-procedure visits.

I decided to get a Tummy Tuck to fix a botched Liposuction from somewhere else. After I woke up from the surgery, I was in a little pain and discomfort. I arrived home, took some Tylenol and Xanax, and went to sleep. I was up the next morning and was able to vacuum my floor. I only took Tylenol for my pain after my Tummy Tuck! I was able to go back to work only after 4 days. Dr. Chen did a wonderful job with the tummy tuck surgery! She is experienced and knows what she is doing! I definitely recommend her!

I was hesitant in getting any work done for a while but it had been on my mind for a while. I was referred to Dr. Chen by a family member of mine. There are a few things I had in mind to do but wanted to start small, I had fillers done with Juviderm on my lips and other areas to help with lines. The results are amazing! I was googling abdominal plasty surgeons and came across Dr Chens website. I liked the fact that Dr Chen is a reconstruction plastic surgeon and works with babies who have cleft palate issues. For me that was the reason I chose to have a consultation with her and not some cosmetic dr advertising for really cheap. My consultation went great and we were both on the same page as far as me having a diastasis and would need something more than just liposuction and a BBL. Although you really only wanted my muscle repaired and did not want to cut my skin off as far as a tummy tuck goes. But she assured me that a tummy tuck was the way to go since down the road after I got just my muscle repaired I would def need the extra skin that would be there removed, so why not just do it all in one surgery. So I scheduled my surgery date 5 months down the road since I would need the time off work I just started and wanted to accrue time off. Dr Chen told me that her patients usually only take 9 days off work. And over these past 5 months I started to wonder if that would be enough time since my co-worker had to take 4 weeks off for the same procedure. Minus the BBL that I also got added to it. My co-worker had what was called drainless tummy tuck and I had 2 drains with mine. I decided to use a recovery house for 2 nights due to the fact my kids worked and wanted someone to leek after me the first 48 hours. To my surprise my recovery actually went very quick. The second day I was down to 1 pain pill every 6 hours. And I was completely off them by day 5. The 3 rd day when I was home I was walking around on my own making sandwiches to take with my food, and even washed my hair. My first drain was out on the 5th day and my second drain was out by the 7th day. I was even driving by that 7th day also. I plan to return to work on the 20th which would make it 19 days, less than 3 weeks off work. I would definitely recommend Dr Chen to my friends and family since she really does care about her patients and their outcomes. She even called me the day after to see how I was feeling.

Dr. Chen is amazing. She is knowledgeable and has excellent bed side manners. She takes the time to explain the procedures in detail and answers all the questions. Also, she takes into consideration price point and she even made sure the payment plan worked for me. Her staff at the hospital are also great and make sure that you understand the entire process. After the procedure Dr. Chen takes the time to personally call and check on you. Trust the process, the results will eventually follow.

Dr. Joyce Chen is amazing. When our son was born with skin tags by his ear. We decided to look into surgical treatment options to remove the extra skin in the hopes that we could have the procedure done while he was an infant, thereby decreasing the general anesthetic route and risks. We tried in vain to obtain services through many pediatricians. They wanted us to wait until he was older and could undergo general anesthesia for the surgical removal of the skin tags. With how the world is today and the bullying we did not want our child to be of school age undergoing this procedure. We were turned down many times by different Dermatologist. Through yelp and google we found Dr. Joyce Chen. She agreed whole-heartedly with our concerns. She has wonderful bedside manner, which is difficult to come by these days. Her office staff is also very kind. Through her many years of experience she routinely performs local anesthetic procedures on infants to surgically remove and or treat congenital conditions. She gave us the treatment plan and was able to perform the surgery. She did a great job! Our child did very well with the procedure, it did not take her long and he had no pain after the surgery. Being that he was an infant, he never touched the surgery site and this allowed for proper healing. She included all the follow-up exams in her packaged price which was very reasonable for out-of-pocket costs. We are very thankful to have found Dr. Joyce Chen, we strongly recommend her for any pediatric surgical need.

The idea of completely natural breast augmentation appealed to me and after meeting with Dr. Chen I felt very comfortable with her and decided to have her perform my lipo and breast fat transfer. Dr Chen is the real deal. She is no non-sense to get you to your goal once she consults with you and come to an agreement of the goal. I’m very satisfied with the experience and especially the results which is what really matters to me. Also the cost was very reasonable.
