The decision for nasal packing after&nbsp;septoplasty and sinus surgery depends on the degree of deviation and also the preferences of your surgeon. It is not an absolute must in every case.

I have been asked to undergo sinus surgery and SEPTOPLASTY . I can't tolerate the packing. Any alternate to packing?

By 6 weeks after sinus surgery, the nasal swelling and congestion due to the surgery should have resolved. You may still have a nasal tone to your voice if the turbinates are swollen due to allergies or even non-allergic causes. There may also be further anatomical obstruction. I would recommend contacting your ENT to have a&nbsp;closer look with a scope both in your nasal cavities and at your vocal cords. You can also start using a saline sinus rinse which often can be helpful.

My voice has been affected after the sinus surgery. Although the nasal blocks have opened, but still it feels like congestion and my voice now sounds with a nasal tone. Could you please suggest any remedies to get rid of this problem.

I had septoplasty one month ago due to repeated sinus infections cold symptoms muscles aches and extream fatigue. After surgery I can see very slow improvement. Less dizziness ànd fatigue but frequent sore throat, ear tightness all the time. No more blood and crust now but when I blow my nose some green thick mucus with dark bloody crust come. I HV dirty foul smell, still feel lightheadness sometimes. Asked my surgeon he said f9. My Improvement is OK? How much time it will take fully recovered.

Why am I still having these symptoms after septoplasty?
