I am a trans woman of color, and finding medical providers who have the knowledge, training, and expertise necessary to provide gender-affirming care can-- and has been-- a daunting process. There are many providers out there who claim to have the knowledge, training, and demeanor to fully address the needs of their transgender patients. Having carefully vetted several, however, not all claims allayed my concerns. For example, several surgeons claiming to have the knowledge and experience to address their trans patients needs use outdated and inflammatory terminology when discussing the trans experience. Others refuse to work with insurance companies, or they lack a full appreciation for the multi-disciplinary approach transgender medicine requires.

But my concerns regarding identifying a skilled, thoughtful, and experienced provider were completely eliminated after I met Doctor Hadeed. Doctor Hadeed is a caring and thoughtful provider. He's a strong advocate for his transgender patients, and he and his staff work tirelessly to ensure patience receive their medically necessary care. Doctor Hadeed also carefully listens to his patients to ensure he comprehensively addresses the medical needs of his patients seeking treatment for gender dysphoria. Throughout my gender journey, Doctor Hadeed has provided me the support, encouragement, and honest and thoughtful counsel I require to make the best and most informed decisions I can regarding my care.

His skills as a surgeon are exemplary. To date, I have seen Doctor Hadeed for all my gender-affirming surgical needs. He has performed several procedures to both my body and face to ensure my body, face, and gender identity are properly aligned. Aside from being absolutely thrilled with my surgical results, my recovery from all surgeries done with Doctor Hadeed has been without complication or pain. That my recoveries have gone so smoothly are a testament to his skills and talents. Moreover, he made himself readily available to me before and after surgery to answer any questions that may arise as I prepared for and recovered from surgeries.

To summarize, I found the best provider for me in Doctor Hadeed. I have full confidence in his skill and expertise, and I will continue seeing Doctor Hadeed for my gender-affirming surgical needs. Finally, I have-- and will continue-- strongly encouraging other members of the transgender community to see him to meet their medically necessary needs. The day I met Dr. Hadeed, his warm smile matched everything and more I had hoped for in a physician. I live over a 1,000 miles away from his office (so that says a lot right there) and I had been searching via internet for the “right one” to perform my top surgery. I had a few let downs, mishaps and a few doctors that fell thru and honestly I got discouraged. Low and behold I found Dr. Hadeed, someone who’s actions matched their words and my medical needs & at that moment I knew he was the man I’d hire for the job(s). His staff and everyone’s professionalism were impeccable. Dr. Hadeed exceeded my expectations! He’s not just one of those doctors out here for a quick buck he actually displays care and concern for his patient’s wellbeing. He really does go through it with you every step of the way; he won’t abandon you when you get off his table. Luckily for me I found @josefhadeedmd , he really takes the time to listen to your concerns but also offer suggestions. I had both botox and fillers to my face and was so impressed by his technique and precision in taking exact measurements. I recently had a surgery performed by Dr. Hadeed. I cannot say enough about the way he and his entire staff treated me. From the very beginning through the end, they always made me feel comfortable and at ease. His patient coordinator Sophia went out of her way to help me through the entire process, from the time of my initial consultation to the day of surgery. The operating room located in his office provided a very private experience and spa-like atmosphere, and the entire OR staff made me feel at ease as I was a little nervous prior to surgery. Dr. Hadeed personally called me the evening of the surgery as well as the next morning to check on me! It's been 4 months since my procedure and I could not be more satisfied with the results. If you are considering Dr. Hadeed for your plastic surgery procedure, I recommend him and his staff highly and without hesitation.

I cannot possibly say all of the wonderful things that I have to comment on about Dr. Josef Hadeed and his incredible staff, but I’ll try. From my first phone call to book a consultation, to the personalized care I received during recovery, I cannot compliment Dr. Hadeed and his staff enough. As a 30 year old woman, I have been considering breast augmentation for years. After an incredible amount of online research, I felt blessed to find Dr. Hadeed. I called the office to set up a consultation, and was greeted by Sophia on the phone, who was not only warm and friendly, but extremely knowledgeable & helpful, too. Upon arrival for my consultation, I immediately felt welcomed by Sophia, and the comfortable décor & set-up of the waiting area. Everything down to the music that was playing helped me to feel relaxed and at home. Dr. Hadeed greeted my husband and I, and truly took all the time we needed to go over every detail about breast augmentation. He was honest about what I could expect if I were to decide to go through with a procedure. At no time did I feel any pressure to make a decision, in fact I felt so comfortable in being able to take the time I needed to consider any questions I might have. Dr. Hadeed’s bedside manner is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. He brings such a kind understanding, paired with a great sense of humor. I truly felt like I was talking to a friend. Additionally, I felt that Dr. Hadeed listed to what it was that I was looking for, so that he could help guide me to make the best decision for me. We discussed the financial responsibilities at the end of my consultation, and once again Sophia was extremely helpful by offering a wide variety of payment options to make the already reasonable fees, even easier to manage. My pre-op appointment was just as great, and I was thrilled to have a list of all of the important information for pre & post op care emailed to me, so that I didn’t have to try to remember everything. It’s clear that Dr. Hadeed, and his staff, want to do all that they can to make this process enjoyable for all their patients. I felt completely prepared in the weeks leading up to my surgery & arrived ready to go. Dr. Darbinian, my anesthesiologist, called the day before my surgery to ensure that he had all of the necessary information about my medical history. He also made some great recommendations to help things go smoothly during my surgery. The day of surgery was great. My husband and I were welcomed warmly by the staff once again, and we were able to stay together as my amazing nurse, Kim, took my blood pressure, set-up my IV and got me ready for surgery. Dr. Darbinian brought me a warm blanket and offered my husband coffee, tea or water while he waited – it truly felt like a spa experience. The surgery went great & everything was explained to me until I was fully asleep. I awoke in a comfortable bed with my nurse by my side. Once again, my well-being was the major concern & everyone was sure to ask my preference (whether I was in pain or if I was comfortable, if I was ready to see my husband, if I was ready to go home or if I wanted to stay longer). Dr. Hadeed personally checked on me during my recovery, and I also received phone calls from Sophia and Dr. Darbinian to ensure that my first few days were going well. I just had my first post-op appointment, and everything is looking great. Dr. Hadeed explained what I can expect over the next few days, and I truly could not be happier with my progress so far, and how great my overall experience was. I do not have one single complaint – even the surgical bra that was provided is spectacular (it’s supportive, and it has little embroidered flowers near the straps to make it look a little more feminine). If anyone is considering Dr. Hadeed, please contact his office to set up a consultation – you will not be disappointed. My only regret is not finding Dr. Hadeed sooner – not only is he a fantastic surgeon, but it’s obvious that he truly cares about his patients & loves what he does.

dr. hadeed helped me restore my confidence far exceeding my expectations. after birthing and nursing two kids, i was very self conscious about my chest which affected my overall confidence. i saw dr. hadeed after being recommended by a friend and immediately booked my procedure. he is such a professional and made me feel like i was in great hands. his staff could not have been nicer and really put you at ease to feel like you were in good hands with people who really cared about what they did. i really wanted a natural look, and dr hadeed delivered me the PERFECT size and shape breasts. they are gorgeous. dr. hadeed also answered any all question and concern and always made me feel taken care of and like i was an important patient. i am about 8 months post op and i am thankful every single day for choosing dr. hadeed and for having my breast augmentation. he changed my life and confidence and i could not be happier with the entire process of being his patient. when i left my 6 month post op i was in tears thanking dr. hadeed for making me feel so much better about myself. and i meant it! thank you dr.hadeed!

My experience with Dr. Josef Hadeed and his team was amazing! I felt comfortable and very safe in their hands, and I couldnt have asked for a better team to take care of me during the entire process before and after the surgery. I highly recommend him!

I don’t have a great deal of experience with surgeons as the only previous surgery I’ve had was an appendectomy - and that doctor I did not get to choose. Because of this I was very scared and pretty much lost when it came to finding a surgeon for my top surgery (double incision with free nipple grafts). I sent out a few inquiries to different offices around the LA area. Most of the places replied back but the reply from Nicole from Dr. Hadeed’s office stood out the most. I was planning on following up with all of them but once I got into the office and met Dr. Hadeed I knew I didn’t need to do that. I had my free consultation during my first visit. Photos and measurements were taken. Then I wrestled with my insurance to approve the surgery since it was out of network. I think I waited almost two months for it to be approved. Believe me, it was well worth it. When it finally was approved Dr. Hadeed got me an appointment super fast. Dr. Hadeed was with me every step of the way, addressing concerns by email. During the first few weeks of recovery I had some issues arise that were mainly caused by paranoia - mostly because this was my first major surgery and anything that seemed odd to me scared me. For example, I had drains put in for the first few days after surgery. One of the drains wasn’t really collecting much fluid. I emailed Dr. Hadeed and he told me to come see him the next day - this was two days after my surgery and two days before my follow up appointment. We went into the office, on a Sunday no less, and he took a look at everything and told me I was okay. He literally took time out of his day just to ease my mind! This happened twice (for different reasons) - I had two, free “mind easing” appointments! I’m not sure of many doctors who would do that. My scars are healing great. I love the way everything looks. I feel like a different person already. I can’t wait until I’m able to go swimming or walk around on the beach with no shirt on and feel like a normal person. And this is all thanks to Dr. Hadeed!

I am so happy with my results of the fat transfer to buttox, it has been only four months and I look and feel amazing thanks again dr Hadeed!! I can't thank you enough! it has made all the difference !

It has been 3 days since surgery I have minimal swelling and am happy with my overall shape!! The lipo to my abdomen looks great my waist is very small I can see the overall shape already. Dr Hadeed made me feel at ease and taken care of. I will keep updating on my results when swelling goes down a bit more.
