Priceless Experience!

I’m blown away by the kindness and dedication of Dr. Nassif, Dr. Dubrow, and their respective teams. Now that they are working out of each other’s offices, I was able to see them both at Dr. Nassif’s Beverly Hills office within the same week! I first had a video consultation from home with Dr. Dubrow to see if he could help me with a medically necessary breast lift after having a Pectus Excav...

Life changing rhinoplasty! No daily pain & pressure & I can breathe again

I had previously broken my nose 3 or 4 times. It was ugly, crooked, and left me with breathing problems. As I got older the deviation of my septum on the left side continued to get worse. I dealt with a chronic sinus infection for the last 2 years. Dr. Nassif and team gave me the most beautiful nose! I am able to breathe again which has drastically improved my life. I don't have pain and...

Q: Can stitches or fillers in my nostril help my nose look symmetrical from the front? I had rhinoplasty done about 6 months ago
Answered by Dr. NassifDecember 9, 2018

A: Hello and thank you for your question and photos

Slight nostril asymmetry is very common in patients following rhinoplasty.  It is also a very difficult issue to correct, as perfect symmetry is often impossible to achieve.  At times, the asymmetry can even be due to normal facial anatomy.  It is important, however, to allow your nose adequate healing time from your previous rhinoplasty before pursuing further interventions (surgical or non-surgical).  For a full assessment, an in person evaluation by a facial plastic surgeon would be appropriate to completely evaluate the nostril asymmetry.  Pre-operative photos would also be helpful in your evaluation.

I hope this advice helps you and I wish you the best of luck.

Q: I Hit my Nose, Is the Swelling Mean Permanent Damage?
Answered by Dr. NassifSeptember 20, 2018

A: Hello and thank you so much for your question.

With the amount of swelling still present, this can create the appearance of asymmetry and irregularities. I suggest an in-person consultation with a rhinoplasty specialist to ensure permanent damage was not done to the nose and to take the correct measures in a timely fashion. I hope this information helps and I wish you the best of luck.

Q: 6 weeks post op rhinoplasty. Will eating spicy food affect my final results?
Answered by Dr. NassifAugust 23, 2018

A: Hello and thank you for your question,

At 6 weeks post op, you are fine to begin to eat spicy food. This should not effect the final result of your rhinoplasty. Thank you and I wish you the best of luck.

Q: Uneven swelling? 10 weeks post revision rhinoplasty. (photos)
Answered by Dr. NassifJune 27, 2018

A: Hello, and thank you for your question and photos. At 10 weeks post-op, there is a large amount of swelling still present; this can create the appearance of asymmetry and irregularities. In general, 70% of the swelling subsides after 3-4 months, and it may take 18-24 months to see the final results of surgery. Swelling after surgery can be due to the following:

  • Whether the procedure was a revision
  • Whether the procedure was open or closed
  • Whether tip work was performed
  • Thickness of the patients’ skin
I would recommend keeping in touch with your surgeon, as he/she is familiar with the nature of your surgery and can advise you during the healing process. I hope this information helps, and I wish you the best of luck.

Q: Rhinoplasty 15 days post op. Did something go wrong? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. NassifMay 31, 2018

A: 15 days is still very soon after surgery, and swelling will influence the appearance of your result. In general, swelling can give the appearance of:

1) Asymmetry

2) Irregularities

I would recommend giving it some time and see how you continue to heal, as the nose changes over time. Your surgeon should be able to answer any questions regarding healing, as he/she knows the details of your procedure. I hope this advice helps, and I wish you the best of luck.
