A: Great question! Absolutely you can have an implants placed in a sub glandular position. The specific details of the advantages and disadvantages of placing the implant above or below the muscle can be discussed during your consultation. It is also very important to pick the appropriate implants size and projection to give you that natural look. A: Great question! An internal bra/internal lift can be done in a couple different ways. Often times some type of mesh is used to help support the bottom part of the breasts to prevent droop and sagging overtime. On top of that sutures can be used to close the breast pocket in a revision case if the breast pocket is too big for the implants. This pocket manipulation allows repositioning of the breast implants to an improved postion. Seek a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon to go over the details of this procedure.

A: Great question! You can absolutely have both of these procedures performed at the same time. Understand the skin and volume are two different issues at one will not treat the other that is why the doctors have recommended two different procedures. Having these procedures performed at the same time will prevent you from having to go through anesthesia twice, go through recovery twice, and take off time from your life twice. It is very commonly performed together and we’ll provide you with the most significant restoration. Seek a consultation with a few board-certified plastic surgeons and go with the one you feel most comfortable with.

A: Great question! The answer to this will vary from patient to patient. You are correct in that some patients will feel fine within a couple days however you also have patients that will take longer to heal. Again everybody recovers differently. You don’t want to be taking pain medicine while driving or while work as this could potentially create bigger issues. I would recommend you taking more time off work. However this decision is between you and your surgeon.

A: Great question! Implant sizing can be difficult to discuss in a forum like this. It all depends on the dimensions of your breast specifically the measurement of your breast width, as well as your ultimate goals. With that being said in general approximately 200cc is one cup size therefore 400cc will provide you approximately 2 cup sizes larger than you are now. However it is more important that implant fits your breast measurements. Therefore it is important to have an in person consultation so that a good physical examination can be performed. Seek a consultation with a few board-certified plastic surgeons and go with the one you feel most comfortable with.
