I have had 3 gold caps on my teeth for 20 plus years.I want them gone 1of the caps have slide down very ulgy .don't have a lot of money or insurance.but need to know in a ball park range how much will I have to spend to get them removed and. teeth whitening.will not let me put a picture on here

It is possible that your old retainer would not fit because you had some work done on your front teeth.&nbsp;

I had fixed braces a few years ago and then went on to wearing a retainer. I'm 18 now and when i was younger (before getting braces) both my top front teeth got seriously damaged. I have recently had crowns put in and i am worried to wear my retainer over them. I have left it off but I can see my teeth moving, am i still able to wear my retainer over my crowns or will it push them out? Many Thanks

Depending on how much tooth is left at how strong it is, might be savable by performing rooot canal therapy therapy, post and a crown. However; if the tooth is not savable, the three unit bridge can restore your missing tooth. An implant is also another option to restore your missing tooth. See your dentist as soon as possible because there could be an infection which can cause more serious problems.

It's a bottom tooth in the front. The actual tooth is still there, just the part that covers the gum line is gone. The tooth feels really loose now. I don't have insurance.

Tooth fracture is common on teeth with root canals. It is difficult to answer your questions without seeing the X-ray. However,  an 8 mm pocket is very serious. An exploratory surgery can be done to see the extent of the fracture. If the tooth has completely separated in two pieces, an implant is the best choice.

You do need retainers after your treatment is complete. &nbsp;Option #2 is composite bondings, although it costs less, often times they chip, break off and stain over the years and need to be replaced. #3 Veneers, cost more, very aesthetic and natural looking, need to be replaced in a few years. Don't think how much it will cost now. Think in the long term which option is best for you.

It is very common to have that kind of bridge to replace a front tooth. Also, the tooth with the root canal needs some kind of coverage for example a crown or a veneer in order to protect it from fractures. As a general dentist myself,&nbsp;think it is a great treatment plan.

I've had my baby tooth removed and I had a root canal on one of my front teeth. My dentist recommended I do a maryland bridge for the baby tooth and a crown veneer on the front tooth. I'm afraid that the carving on the front tooth will make it weaker. Lastly, I noticed that my dentist is general dentist and I'm unclear as to whether this qualifies him to do this work, even though he seems very knowledgeable on the process.

Replacing a missing tooth with an implant could be costly. However, the cost of replacing a tooth should not be the only factor in choosing a dentist. An ill fitting crown on an implant can fail and can damage the implant. It can also cause your other teeth to shift,&nbsp;bone loss,&nbsp;even TMD which can cost you more in the long run.

I had my implant uncovered and in 2 weeks will be ready for my impressions for the crown to be made I have found a place that can make my crown very cheap much lower than any other quote & I know a few people that have gone through this place & are happy but as my case was quite difficult I was wondering if any long term damage can be caused if the crown is not fitted correctly? I was thinking I could give this place a go & if it doesn't last cut my losses & go to the more expensive place

Thank you for your question. Having the baby tooth removed creates some space needed to correct the crowding issue in the lower jaw.&nbsp;Braces/Invisalign is a great method of solving your issue.

I am 31 year old living in Los Angeles. I haven't been to a dentist in a while and in my recent visit(a month ago) found out that I have carious milk teeth in my lower jaw. The dentist filled it in but told me there are 2 options. To either get braces or get an implant done. I have crooked smile. What do you recommend. I am attaching a copy of my x-ray. What can be the negative consequences of doing braces or implants. I also need to fill a teeth that was impacted by wisdom tooth. Please advise.
