Q: What options are available after a failed capsulorraphy? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. LiuNovember 26, 2020

A: Thank you for your question and sharing your pictures! I’m sorry you are dealing with this, however, these things sometimes happen with breast augmentation surgery. After a failed capsule or feet to try to readjust the shape of your breasts, placing stratus to reinforce and support that. Paul is a very good option that would fix your problem. I typically do not perform revisional surgery through and Terry areolar incision. This approach and incision offers limited access and would make any revision surgery much more difficult. I believe the best approach for doing that Stess through and inframammary fold. Also, since you already have an incision there, it is best to use that incision rather than making another incision on your breast. Typically we perform press reconstruction surgery throughout never memory fold approach to hide the mastectomy scars. This approaches the best approach. Please discuss with your surgeon, or you can find another surgeon in your area that performs revisional or reconstructive breast surgery.

Q: With my tubes being tied, can I get liposuction?
Answered by Dr. LiuNovember 19, 2020

A: Yes, you are able to safely undergo a liposuction procedure, even if you previously had tubal ligation.

Q: Had a BA currently 36E, want to go bigger to a G/H cup. Is this possible with 700-800cc range? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. LiuNovember 14, 2020

A: Yes, you can definitely upsize to a larger implant size. You are correct that this needs to be performed in stages. The largest silicone implant available are 800ml. Anything larger than that is not available in the US Market Yet. Alternatives may be overfilled saline or implants may be available outside the US. Please discuss with your Plastic Surgeon.

Q: I am 5’9 about 156 lbs. Would 375 cc or 400cc look natural on my chest? (photos)
Answered by Dr. LiuNovember 12, 2020

A: It is often a difficult decision as to what implant size best fits you. Implants have two key character that affect how they look on you after surgery: 1. Projection, or how far they come off your chest 2. Base width of the implant, or how wide the will be under your native breast. The wider the implant, the less projection it will have for the same volume size, and vice versa. When trying to determine the best implant size for you, remember this... women’s most common complaint following breast augmentation surgery is that they wish they were bigger. There are many ways to try and figure out the best size for your desired look. I find that when patients try in implant sizers and can see themselves in the mirror, they have a better idea what size they would like. I also have them try on larger sizes, so they know they wouldn’t want to be any bigger. Probably the best way to decide between 375 ml and 400 ml implants is to try them on and see how the look on you.

Q: Should I get Lipo with Extended Tummy Tuck? (Photos)
Answered by Dr. LiuJuly 4, 2020

A: Thank you for your question and sharing some pictures!

Unfortunately, without a more complete sets of pictures with additional views of the front of your abdomen, any answer to your question will be based upon assumptions of what your anterior abdomen may look like. Our answers may change should the situation be different than we imagined.

From the pictures you show, I believe that liposuction alone, with a skin tightening technology such as Renuvion would be sufficient to achieve the look you desire. I am not sure that a tummy tuck or extended tummy tuck would add that much more to your results, other than giving you a big scar which would be unattractive.

Please consult with a plastic surgeon who is experienced with high definition liposuction, and possibly renuvion to enhance the results. Remember, nothing replaces an in person consultation. Good luck!
