After earning his medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, Dr. Castillo began an extensive postgraduate career that included a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey. This was followed by a fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery at the Cleveland Clinic in Weston, Florida and a preceptorship in Aesthetic Surgery and Intimate Aesthetics at Aguirre Specialty Center in Denver, Colorado.
Dr. Castillo is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology, with a subspecialty in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.
He is the recipient of multiple prestigious academic awards, including the APGO Excellence in Teaching Award, Association of Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the CREOG National Faculty Award, the Cleveland Clinic Best Research Study, Mount Sinai School of Medicine’s Excellence in Teaching Award, St. Barnabas Medical Center’s Stanley Lefkowits Resident Research Award, and the International Urogynecologic Association’s award for Best Surgical Video.
