Dr Simone Matousek is an incredible surgeon. From the first consultation I felt completely comfortable with her. She was very open and honest and knew exactly what would be realistic with my body shape etc. She showed me her thoughts on what implants I should go with to keep a ‘natural’ look while still enhancing my size. Part of me wanted to go bigger (which she was more than happy to do) but I am so glad I went with her recommendation, she was spot on. They are perfect. She did an amazing job. Now I am still recovering but I am still receiving constant support from Dr Matousek. I was very nervous about getting a breast augmentation and was thinking about it for years but my nerves held me back, the thought of seeing a male surgeon also added to that fear. Dr Matousek made me feel completely comfortable from the start and being a female I feel like she had a great understanding of how I was feeling about certain things. My stats are 52kg , 168cm I started with an A cup. I had 315cc implants teardrop, I appear to be a full C maybe a small D but I am still recovering and will no know my size yet. Honestly it was a fantastic experience!
Simone is highly knowledgeable and a true expert in her field. She treats each of her patients with care and diligence. She has a wide range of expertise, she helped me tackle my smile lines and red spots. I am extremely happy with the result of my treatment and will definitely come back time and time again!
Simone is the most wonderful woman- kind, thoughtful and a wonderful surgeon. I adore her! I had under eye fillers and they look amazing- even my dad is thinking of getting them (genetically- we look like skeletons with our deep under eye sockets)!
Dr Matousek was highly professional and carefully guided my decision making to deal with age spots and spider veins with BBL. I was very happy with the results Dr Matousek got for me. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a very natural looking enhancement. She is so professional and put me immediately at ease in her care.
After years of debating whether I should get a breast augmentation, I finally met a surgeon I felt completely comfortable with and was also reasonably priced. I had my surgery on 28th Sept 2017 and went from a small, saggy 32B (after 3 children) to a full C with no complications and couldn’t be happier with the result!! - Better than I could ever have expected and back to work the next week!! I have never had much body confidence but have to say I now love my new look and spent most of summer at the beach in a new bikini getting lots of compliments (something I have never done before)! My new chest looks completely natural which is exactly the look I was after. On a recent trip to New York and lingerie shopping at Victoria’s Secret the ‘hostesses’ assigned to fit me said she had seen a lot of breast augmentations in her job, but that mine was honestly the best she had ever seen and she couldn’t believe they weren’t real!! From my very first consultation to eight months after the surgery, the entire experience has been incredibly positive and life changing. I really couldn’t recommend Dr Simone Matousek more highly - from her patient care before and after, professionalism and skills as surgeon. Five giant stars!!
I had great results with Venus Freeze. I had 6 sessions in total and there was a visible improvement. Dr Simone Matousek was very professional and informative, as were her practice managers. I was given all of the information I needed at the consultation and Dr Matousek discussed what results could be achieved. The venus freeze itself is not painful, it's actually hot not cold as I previously thought! It basically feels like a hot stone massage. I had 40 minute sessions each time and 6 sessions in total. My stomach was nice and smooth after the sessions and i could see that it was flatter! I highly recommend venus freeze with Dr Matousek if you're looking for the non-surgical option.
I was very self conscious about my heavy and sagging eyelids which made me look older than my years. I had had other surgical procedures undertaken by Dr Simone Matousek previously so I had total confidence that she would be able to correct this issue. My consultation and evaluation process was seamless. The procedure was undertaken at St Luke's hospital as a day patient. The results and healing time were far better than I had imagined and I would recommend Dr Matousek to anyone who is thinking of having this or similar procedures.
I had had a bilateral breast augmentation procedure with Dr Simone Matousek about 2 years ago and am extremely happy with the end result. Having believed I had the perfect pair of breasts pre-children , I simply wasn't prepared for what they would become after breast feeding my 2 sons. Resembling what I prefer to describe as 'deflated wind socks' I felt disproportional wearing a bikini at the beach and rather boyish in my gym gear, overall you could say my breasts post children left me feeling less confident. Not a fan of the over-sized and instantly recognised 'fake boob' look, Simone was referred by a friend who had advised of her excellent work, professional approach and expertise in carefully creating a beautiful breast. I was instantly taken by Simone for her honesty and caring approach. Throughout the pre-consultation stage, Simone made me feel at ease and was able to advise on the right size and style for my stature and the look I was wanting to achieve. I was thrilled with the end result and am even happier today 2 years on. Having had a wonderful experience with Simone throughout the entire procedure, I have referred her to countless friends who are looking to have a similar procedure done. Knowing Simone genuinely cares and offers expert professional advice I highly recommend her to women as a surgeon who is understanding, trustworthy and delivers excellent results.
I had my breast done by Simone about two years ago. I adore my breasts I was so impressed with her professionalism and skills that when I realised I had breathing difficulties Simone was the only surgeon I would even consider going near my face. This was a long process over a year ( Simone was patient and even helped me out by talking to my insurance company!) it was well worth the wait. Simone works with Dr professor Richard Harvey a specialist in ENT. They worked together to come up with a treatment plan Richard then handed the surgery over to Simone. During consults she listened to my concerns, explained the operation in detail and suggested extra nips and tucks I could have done to improve my face. ( I've got a long face I can't remember the name of the congenital deformity) . Based on her advice, I added neck lipo ( Venus freeze after) and fat transfer to my mid face and lips. I was right to trust her judgement not only am I able to breathe better ( it's only 2 months post op) but I look younger and have my jaw line back. I will be going back to her to fix a dodgy lipo job on my thighs done by another doctor. this will involve lipo and fat grafting maybe a BBL. While I'm there I'll be getting fillers in my mid face and lips to further enhance the work already done. I'm kicking myself over my botched lipoI should have gone to Simone first time round but I was silly and got it done on impulse while I was abroad on holiday. I'll never make that mistake again. Ive added images of my nose in stages of Recovary. Thanks Simone, im very happy.
I have been to Dr Matousek many times over the last few years for filler in my lips and botox in my frown lines. I have to commend her on the fantastic job she does. The experience for me is always pleasant- the discomfort is minimal and Dr Matousek's warmth and professionalism make me feel completely at ease. I LOVE the result from the Juvederm in my lips, because rather than looking like I have a 'trout pout' Dr Matousek manages to create a subtle fullness that really suits my face. I have also noticed since having botox injections a large improvement in my frown lines, which (suffice to say) I am incredibly happy with. If in doubt, and you are new to filler and botox, I recommend Dr Matousek. She won't over-do your face and will leave you looking 'naturally' refreshed.
It is relatively common for sense of smell to be somewhat disturbed in the first few weeks following a rhinoplasty; it is only permanent in an extremely small percentage. The time for it to completely return to normal in some patients can be several months. If you are only one month down the track, you will still have swelling of the internal lining of the nose (mucosa), which is the most likely cause. In most people, it should be starting to gradually improve at 6 weeks so if has not changed at all by this stage, it warrants further investigation. Smell and taste are closely related; you have not lost your ability to taste; (the basic five taste sensations salty, sweet, bitter, sour and umami which is perceived via taste buds on the tongue), however, without normal olfaction, food tastes bland, particularly more complex flavours which require smell for their enjoyment.
There has been reasonable improvement when comparing your pre and post-operative photos. The was certainly a bulge in your lower abdomen which has now been corrected. At 6 weeks, there is still some swelling. It would help to know where your hernia was (?epigastric, ?inguinal). A residual bulge can be due to intraabdominal fat (which is not removed) or fat within the skin flaps. Your contour could also be improved by some liposuction in your central abdomen over the muscles once your results have had time to settle at about the 6 month mark. This will create a more defined look of your rectus abdominus muscles. In men, a muscle repair or plication is usually not performed, as the rectus muscles tend to only be separated in women post childbirth or congenital conditions. You could have a CT scan of your abdomen if you are concerned regarding the integrity of your muscles. However, I would wait for at least another month; remember the entire skin of your belly has been raised off the muscle and pulled down; there is residual swelling and in some people there can be small fluid collections at this stage (seromas) which are not uncommon. Allow things to settle for a little longer.
Fat transfer would nicely fill out the areas which look empty following the removal of your implants. Asymmetry could be corrected by careful placement of the fat. Your nipples are still above the breast crease (inframammary fold) so you do not require a breast lift or mastopexy. Fat can be taken from any area with liposuction, centrifuged (to concentrate the fat) and then reinjected through a very fine cannula (micrografting). Breast implants should not affect breastfeeding in a standard operative approach and neither does fat grafting. However, if you are considering pregnancy in the near future, it would be best to wait until afterwards to undergo an operation. Fat transfer is an excellent solution, however, if you have large changes in weight as does occur during and post pregnancy, this may affect your result (particularly if you go on and lose weight following your pregnancy you may lose some of your grafted fat).
There are many factors which can affect the position of the nasal tip before and after surgery. However, if the "droopiness" is increased when you smile, this is due to hyperactivity of two small paired muscles, the depressor septi. They attach to either side of the septum (to the medial crura) and inderdigitate with the muscles of the lip. Therefore on animation (smiling) the nasal tip moves down. If you really do not like the idea of surgery, some botulinum toxin could be injected into the muscles, and you can see if you like the effects and then consider surgery. Cutting the muscle operatively is relatively simple and is done through a small incision in the mouth, and has a good effect in those with this problem.
The speed at which a person ages depends on many factors; genetics and skin type (African Americans, Asians and olive skin types age more slowly as they are less susceptible to sun damage), sun exposure and smoking accelerate the ageing process as do periods of severe stress, yo-yo dieting and significant weight loss, poor diet. A diet high in sugar has been linked to ageing through production of Advanced glycation end products (AGEs) when sugar reacts with proteins and damages collagen and elastin. As well, use of a good evidence-based skin care regimen (containing active ingredients such as vitamin A, Vitamin C, alpha-hydroxy acids) and regular exercise (which promotes the release of growth hormone) can slow down ageing. In general, the ageing process consists of consists of skin changes (thinning of the dermis and degeneration of collagen and elastic fibres , volume loss (loss of facial fat and bone resorption), descent of tissues due to gravity and relaxation of ligaments of the face (leading to formation of jowls, deepening of the nasolabial folds). Ageing of the skin occurs due to the instrinsic process of dermoelastosis (degeneration of dermal collagen and elastic fibres) as well as photoageing due to sun exposure, which makes the changes of ageing more accelerated and severe. The changes that occur are fine and course wrinkles, surface irregularities, visible small blood vessels (telangiectasies) and irrregular pigmentation. Collagen production slows down in a person's early thirties and begins to break down. As collagen starts to weaken and the skin loses its elasticity, wrinkles begin to form. Volume loss also starts at this time, with loss of facial fat in the cheek area. The old saying of "you need to choose between your face and your arse" is true; people who have very little body fat, especially as they start to enter their late 30s /40s will show their age more. Descent of tissues with the development of jowls and loose skin develops later, usually in the late 40s/50s. Each aspect of the ageing process needs to be addressed; its not just about lifting and tightening the skin which was what the old approach to facial rejuvenation used to be. Skin texture is very important for a youthful appearance. Very fine lines and pigment can be treated with cosmeceutical grade skin care, peels, laser therapy or broad band light. For deeper lines botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid fillers, deeper laser resurfacing or dermabrasion are options. Volume loss can be treated with fat transfer or hyaluronic acid fillers. These combined treatments can help delay the process of ageing as active skin care, peels, broad band light and laser all stimulate collagen formation. Botulinum toxin prevents repeated muscle contraction which leads to wrinkle formation. Finally, facelift is important once facial ageing has reached the stage where ligaments are lax and tissues which have sagged need to be repositioned.
