Obsessed with my new nose - it is exactly what I envisioned

After a lifetime of hating my nose, rhinoplasty was always something I considered doing. Once doing some research, I would get too anxious and opt out. This was a cycle I followed for years on years until I discovered Dr Imani. I finally bit the bullet and booked my consultation with Dr Imani. He was so reassuring of all my worries and put me at ease straight away. I had no doubt that I was in the best hands, and it was a no brainer to book my surgery in with him. From the first consultation through to the post-op follow ups, Dr Imani & Noellia have been so attentive, informative and supportive. I’m confident that I have watched ALL the rhinoplasty recovery videos out there, and as a result I hyped up the recovery to be so horrible and painful. To say my recovery was a breeze would be an understatement. I had MINIMAL pain, swelling, bruising or bleeding. I could breathe through my nose from the moment I woke up, which I was not expecting! I was incredibly shocked by how easy the recovery. I’m 4 weeks post op, and OBSESSED with my new nose. Dr Imani did such an amazing job, I cannot fault a single thing. It is exactly what I envisioned and expressed that I wanted. This surgery has been life changing. I could not recommend Dr Imani enough. I cannot speak higher of him.

I found Dr Imani to be very honest & direct

I found Dr Imani to be very honest & direct. I went to him for revision after another Dr ruined my nose. I had breathing problems & my nose was separating. He was honest saying it was more about my nose being functional rather than cosmetics but would do his best to suit my face. The surgery took over 6hours. I will admit it was expensive, though I learnt you pay for the best. I am so happy with my nose. I can breathe better and I think this new nose suits me better. The healing was easy, minimal scarring and he’s available for app when I go to Perth. I would recommend him if you want an honest consult. Updated on 11 Oct 2021: Went to Perth for my 1 year check up. Dr Imani is really happy with my nose, and some am I! Still have a little swelling but that should go down more with time. I forgot to mention that Dr Imani had to rebuild my nose up as it was separating and sloping to 1 side. (Due to an injury) He used the cartlidge from my ear to build it back up straight. I have the littlest scar behind my ear, you don’t even notice he used a piece. The scars around my nose has faded over the year, can’t see them unless your up close. I did have my nose operated on roughly 10years ago, by another surgeon, which made my nose seperate. Dr Imani was able to fix all that, rebuild, and now I can breathe so much better, and it looks better. He is a very honest surgeon. His work is amazing! I would recommend him if you are looking for honesty. I can’t speak highly of him enough, I am so happy.

I am overjoyed with the finished article

Dr Imani recently performed my Bilateral Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty and Laser Resurfacing, and I am overjoyed with the finished article. I was very apprehensive regarding the whole process, but my nerves were unnecessary. My results have been fantastic, and I couldn’t have dreamt for a better outcome. Dr Imani is a skilled surgeon that I would highly recommend. I can not thank him enough for this life changing procedure.

Dr. Imani gave me my eyes back with Botox

I've been doing preventative Botox since my 20s with other providers. Little did I know that dropping my eyebrow muscles all those years without treating the eye area was actually causing my eyelids to droop and look uneven. In one session, Dr. Pedram Imani returned my eyes to youth fullness and symmetry with expert application of botox in certain positions around the four head and the eyes. He is not just a doctor but an artist.

I Had an Amazing Experience

He was very humble and realistic. Understood my needs and wants and the challenges. Even on my surgery day he walked in and made the atmosphere comfortable for me. The receptionist were amazing as well, and post surgery was uncomfortable but definitely not painful!

Who nose - Mum nose!!

At 47 one questions whether it’s a waste of time, money and emotional energy to fix a nose that you have put up with your entire life. All I can say is that after spending a considerable amount of time agonising over the decision I now regret not having it done sooner. Whilst you begin by feeling the money would be better spent elsewhere, the results of Dr Imani’s work speak for themselves. I am thrilled with my new nose as it fits my face and it is the nose that I should have been born with. In one consultation visit Dr Imani was able to patiently guide me through the Rhinoplasty and Septoplasty process and put up with the many varied and potentially stupid questions I had. He was also extremely thorough in assessing the structure of my nose, what was necessary and what results I should expect considering my age and skin type. He was very realistic and did not over promise and under deliver. He did, in fact, do the opposite. The results far exceeded my expectations. I am actually glad that I spent the money to have two other consultations with different plastic surgeons as it made it abundantly clear that they where not in the same league as Dr Imani. The surgery itself was also much easier than I had anticipated. There was virtually no pain afterwards and only the frustration and discomfort of significant congestion (no worse than a really bad cold). I was literally stunned that after a week, when the cast came off, I had no bruising, limited swelling and my nose looked fairly normal. Interestingly people would notice I looked different however could not pick what I had done. I firmly believe that this is due to Dr Imani’s skill in performing his craft. It certainly made returning to work as a teacher easy. If your considering a Rhinoplasty it’s not worth the risks going to anyone less skilled. Dr Imani is the best!!

Amazing Nose Transformation!

Dr Imani was amazing. For years I struggled with breathing through my nose and with the reality that my nose appeared too large for my face. I decided to meet with Dr Imani to explore solutions. At this point I wasn't sure what options were available. Dr Imani identified that I had a significantly deviated septum, a detached columella & past history of nasal fracture. (No wonder I had trouble breathing). Dr Imani explained in plain language what he could do for me & I was sold. Almost 3 months later & I can't remember what my nose looked like before. I guess that's testimony to the natural result Dr Imani achieved. I highly recommend seeing Dr Imani if you have any breathing difficulties and wish to make your nose better suit your face. Thanks Dr Imani.

Rhinoplasty, septoplasty and turbinoplasty with Dr Imani

After a couple of consults, I booked in for surgery with Dr Imani for 16 July 2019. I originally went to Dr Imani for breathing/sinus issues but also wanted to get rid of the small bump in my nose and also refine the bulbous tip so it suited my small face better. I asked for a: Smaller Feminine nose (slightly upturned) Refined tip Smooth the bump out Dr Imani was excellent throughout and is a really good guy, we had great rapport. I am documenting my recovery journey here. Updated on 19 Jul 2019: Here is a pic I took as soon as I woke up from surgery. I had no pain anywhere except a searing pain in my throat from the breathing tube. It was so sore they gave me OxyContin. Then I felt much better! Updated on 19 Jul 2019: I had some bruising appear but not much, left hospital at 9am with some scripts for Panadeine forte, antiobiotics, steroids for the swelling and nasal washes. I felt very sleepy most of the day and was nervous about sleeping in my own bed at night. I propped up 4 pillows so I was sleeping pretty much sitting up. Updated on 19 Jul 2019: I woke up with a red bruise and feeling a bit more swollen, but after I took my meds as instructed I felt better. Nasal washes still painful to start - the tips of the nostrils are so sensitive, but getting better. Updated on 19 Jul 2019: I feel much better today, no longer need the Panadeine forte, am just on normal Panadol. Still have a stiff/weird upper lip so can’t smile like I used to but I’m told this is normal for a few weeks. My post op instructions say to try to avoid smiling or any big expressions, but my friends keep coming to visit and making me laugh it’s tough! Updated on 19 Jul 2019: I’ve just woken up and don’t feel too bad, just soreness around my stitches. I have some blood/mucous pooled in my nose but it isn’t dripping out. I had a pretty good sleep, slept from about 830pm to 5am. I’m sure I’ll nap again soon! This is how my face looks first thing this morning - I haven’t used my nasal wash or anything yet. It looks like the bruises are turning yellow which is good as I think it means they’re healing. I feel like I have a mild sinus headache but I’m assuming it’s because I last took Panadol over 8 hours ago so it’s worn off. Updated on 19 Jul 2019: Post-op instructions are not to get your bandages wet or wash your hair for a week. I am so glad I got my hair braided before surgery - it’s out of the way and not getting all matted/knotted from all the bedrest and also not getting in the way of my nose. I also wake up and it’s already ‘done’. I’ve had these braids in for 5 days and they still look ok. I highly recommend if you have long hair to get French braids the day before surgery ! Updated on 20 Jul 2019: Bruises going down, nose still congested with blood/mucous (I’m doing sinus washes 4-6 times a day) but not dripping. Stomach not feeling great, probably from all the meds (antibiotics, steroids etc). Feel a lot of pressure around my nose but trying not to take anything stronger than Panadol as I have work tomorrow and want to be able to drive Will try to eat lots of probiotic yoghurt today to help my tummy Updated on 20 Jul 2019: Updated on 22 Jul 2019: No swelling (although I didn’t seem to ever have any?), bruises disappearing really quick, just small slivers. Forgot a pic but will take one for Day 7 cast removal. Updated on 23 Jul 2019: Today was the day! I was so excited I was 20min early for my appointment . I accidentally misunderstood the instructions though and didn’t have a warm shower with face wash to loosen my cast, so it was a little bit painful (kind of like the feeling of pushing on a bruise) to get it off, even though Dr Imani was very gentle. I highly recommend having a warm shower and washing your face before the cast off appointment so the glue melts away before your appointment. Oops! Also I have not been on any painkillers (not even Panadol) for two days now, but I will take one tonight. Nose is already looking super cute!!! It’s very swollen especially where they had to break it to get rid of the bump and also on the tip, but I’m loving it already, so excited to see the end result! I was a bit too nervous to do the recovery massages on myself this week (it has to be 4 times a day and it was so sore for me when I first tried it that I didn’t know if i could do it all week) so Dr Imani kindly taped me up for another week to reduce the swelling so I don’t need to do the massages just yet. Maybe by next week I will be brave enough to do the massages hehe! Updated on 23 Jul 2019: So I was so extra careful about not disrupting the surgeon’s good work or any stitches that I probably didn’t clean my nose out as thoroughly as I should have with the peroxide. There were still some bloody crusts around when I went to my cast off appointment. Dr Imani cleaned it out for me properly. Going forward now I know I can be a bit more thorough with the cleaning - so that’s good to know! Updated on 23 Jul 2019: Day 7 Upper lip can move more now, feeling great It’s still not back to 100% but I’m confident once all my swelling goes down it will be Updated on 23 Jul 2019: Updated on 23 Jul 2019: 1 x headband 1 x piece of string Updated on 23 Jul 2019: I still can’t wash my own hair so here I am at the hair dresser Updated on 25 Jul 2019: Nose is still a bit sore even at rest today, it’s my first day having a whole day of no Panadol. My nose is taped and I guess it’s the pressure of the swelling pushing against the tape. Feels kind of dry inside I think because of the tickly stitches or decongestant spray I used. Getting excited to take the tape off on Tuesday, although I hope it doesn’t hurt! Tried to touch my nose but it’s quite painful even just to lightly touch it - I guess it is a broken nose after all so to be expected Updated on 26 Jul 2019: My smile is almost back today, I would say it’s 80% back Updated on 27 Jul 2019: Today I woke up without a headache for the first time since the surgery - I think it’s because I’ve started sleeping flat instead of on two pillows. My nose also doesn’t hurt to touch anymore (first time since surgery - prior to this it was sore even to lightly touch it as it just felt like a huge bruise) Yay! Updated on 2 Aug 2019: Still swollen but looking and feeling great already! Updated on 8 Aug 2019: Feeling good - have been doing the lymphatic drainage massages and it looks like the swelling has gone down a lot - although it’s still noticeable from the side. Breathing not quite excellent yet because I’ve got a cold. A lot of people have said they don’t really notice the difference - which is a good thing in my opinion, it means it looks natural! I can notice a significant difference :) Updated on 12 Aug 2019: Update pic

The whole experience was a smooth one

I had functional sinus surgery + rhinoplasty about 7 months ago and am very pleased with the result. Dr Imani has been professional and open about the process from the beginning- he gave realistic expectations specific for my features and thoroughly explained each aspect of my nose that would change in the process. The recovery was honestly much better than I anticipated and the whole experience was a smooth one from start to finish. Would highly recommend!

Very Happy with my New Nose

I had a consultation with Dr Pedram Imani for a cosmetic rhinoplasty after reading through all his reviews and comparing them against other doctors both here in Perth and over east. I chose Dr Imani as my surgeon firstly because majority (90% I think) of his surgeries are rhinoplasty. To me this was important because I wanted someone who specialised in that area: an ear, nose and throat surgeon. Secondly, all the reviews I read were all of satisfied patients who would recommend him and lastly, the many many before and after photos on his website where I could see for myself the transformations he has created for other patients. On my first consultation, I didn’t feel Dr Imani had the warmest or a reassuring manner towards me or my questions however what I was looking for in a doctor was ‘the skills’ and for this I felt I had complete confidence in him. My surgery was in mid March 2019 and 3 months post-op I am very happy with my new nose - thank you so much Dr Imani! My bumps are gone, the tip is smaller and more upturned. I would highly recommend Dr Imani to anyone who is considering having a rhinoplasty!
