Damon Thomas, FRACS

I always wanted to have bigger boobs as a teen but feared being judged for having fake boobs. My first ever unpadded bra was when I breastfed. My boobs were so perky and full until I stopped. After 3 kids, they looked deflated and sad. I chose Damon Thomas as he fixed my blended, very injured index finger (had a mishap with my stick blender 9 years prior. He did a wonderful job repairing and saving my nail, I regained full function and sensation. And also the fact that I met someone who had him perform her surgery and it was amazing. The surgery went well, I chose with his help Motiva ergonomix 285cc Demi for both sides under breast crease. It was going all well until on day 5, I felt intense pain and swelled up, not sure what I did to cause it but I developed a haematoma on my right boob. I couldn’t take a deep breath and I knew it was not right as I was feeling reasonably well with pain relief. I called the emergency number and he called back right away. He slotted me in the next day and drained less than 200mls. He and his nurses were very caring and reassured me. I bruised more on my right and the scar feels thicker but that’s to be expected. I am yet to go back for my 2 month post op. I am not taking any pain relief now and started to exercise again, I’m just avoiding bench press type of exercises until I see him. I’m pleased with my boobs, though there is some puckering from the scar on my left but I’m waiting for them to drop more and reassess. I recommend Damon and I’m already thinking of future procedures :) Updated on 2 Feb 2023: My left boob was always bigger than my right. In hindsight, I should’ve asked for 300cc for my right but I’m very happy with my result. I have a mild scoliosis so I’m not going to be in perfect symmetry. My sisters and friends think they look very natural. I got them to do the squeeze test, some of these girls are very rough :) I love them, my husband loves them!

I was left with a very deformed c section scar after the traumatic delivery of my twins. I had Dr Thomas do a scar revision with liposuction to the lower stomach to tidy everything up, I highly recommend this procedure and Dr Thomas.

In February this year I arrived in the ER with an infected thumb, that was becoming septic.I was fortunate to have wonderful doctors, and in particular Mr Damon Thomas, Plastic surgeon, who was on call at the time.Over a period of 4 weeks in hospital and 7 surgical procedures, Damon saved my thumb through his amazing skills. Damon played a major role, whilst liaising with Professor Andrew Fuller- (Infectious Diseases Specialist) to also save my life. I am forever thankful and grateful for their intervention and skills.

After researching breast augmentation from the age of 15 years old, I had thought I was set on another (very expensive) plastic surgeon in Sydney. After extensive hours spent on Real Self, I came across Dr. Damon Thomas and was immediately considering having surgery with him instead, especially since he was based in Melbourne, which meant I did not have to spend extra money on travel and accommodation expenses. I had called Melbourne Institute of Plastic Surgery to book a consultation and the ladies were very informative and helpful on the phone. When time finally came for my consultation, Dr. Damon Thomas was extremely helpful and thorough in explaining the surgery, the risks and complications, the differences between each implant and the difference between the ways in which an implant can be placed. I did not have to ask many questions at all as he answered all of them before I got the chance! Dr. Damon was very supportive throughout the entire process and made me feel at ease, he was very patient with me as I was extremely nervous as I was so particular about the results I wanted. I repeated my questions multiple times and each time he answered me as if it was the first time, and was more than happy to do so. I was very indecisive and changed my implant sizes last minute - I had another complimentary consultation before the surgery as I still had so many questions I wanted to go over, again I cant stress how patient and helpful Dr. Damon was throughout this process. The entire time, Dr. Damon was on the same page and wanted to ensure I achieved a natural and proportionate result so I did not look too 'top heavy'. The surgery and recovery itself was an absolute breeze and to my surprise I was in no pain. Just discomfort from being so tight across my chest, but by the 4th day this had subsided and was much more comfortable. I was able to lift my arms above my head by the 3rd day, although I avoided doing this. My implants (motiva ergonomix, 375cc and 425cc) dropped and softened very quickly and looked so natural even in the early stages. I am very short and petite, and I am still in perfect proportion! 4 months on and I am absolutely in love with my boobs and am so thankful I decided to go with Dr. Damon Thomas. No one can tell I have implants and the implants themselves feel so soft, like normal boobs. I highly recommend Dr. Damon, he is amazing and you will not regret choosing him for your surgery; I for one am eternally grateful!!!

I had a breast augmentation performed by Dr Damon on the 30th of November 2017. It constantly popped into my head to give him a good review every time I looked down at my chest yet I've still put it off till now haha! Dr Damon is one of the most professional and honest people you will meet. I am so happy with my results because he genuinely listened to my concerns and desires for my outcome. My only regret is not going bigger (375 cc which was completely my decision!). I went from a small B cup to a large D-DD cup. I will go back to Damon if I decide to increase my size in a few years but I tell you what..I look pretty amazing right now :P My scars have almost faded to nothing and are very small as well :)

By age 76 my upper eyelids were sagging and my vision obstructed, especially peripherally. Also I could feel my eyelids weighing on my eyelashes giving me a tired look. Damon performed a delicate blepharoplasty under local anaesthetic. Three weeks later I now have unobstructed vision and a refreshed look around my eyes as a bonus. Amazing!! Everything about this operation was highly professional - top surgeon, great support staff and facilities. Thanks heaps Damon.

It is five months now since Mr Damon Thomas reconstructed my thumb with a new joint and a tendon repair. I am so happy to be without pain and to be able to use a knife and fork when out for dinner, lunch and at home. The tasks I am now able to return to are too many to list here. What I do want to say is a big thank you to Damon for his skillful work in getting me back (slowly and carefully) to a point where my thumb is again useable after the damage I had inflicted on it over decades.

I am currently 3 weeks post op breast augmentation surgery with Dr Damon Thomas. I went to 350cc, from my first consult i was instantly comfortable and knew he would be the surgeon to perform this surgery. I had absoloutely no pain and still have not felt any kind of pain. He was honest and helpful when it came to deciding on my implant sizing, understanding all my concerns etc. highly recommend Dr Damon Thomas

Dr Thomas is clearly very skilled in what he does. I saw him for the purpose of getting my breast implants revised from a BA with another surgeon. I wanted bigger breasts and with Dr Thomas I went from 275cc to 550cc. They look great and I have barely any pain only one day post op! Stonnington day surgery have brilliant staff and are very supportive, chatty/fun and fast. I would recommend Dr Thomas to anyone looking to get the honest truth about results to expect and goals with your breast implants, he is very direct and straight to the point instead of giving vague answers like other professionals tend to do. 10/10! Great staff, great surgeon.

Damon is an amazing surgeon and I have been so happy with how my breasts now look!I'm post op 4 days, He gave me exactly what I was wanting, and next to no swelling or pain. I would've liked him to be a bit more involved as I have only really had contact with nurses post op, but fully understand he is in high demand and very busy. Staff are also amazing and super helpful! Highly recommend seeing Damon
