1 out of 5 stars Fat Transfer
I will begin with why I decided to get fat transfer in the first place. I had laser damage on my cheeks from a V-beam laser. It left dents. Looking back, I would give anything to go back to just dents as my biggest problem. Dr. Edward Eades big time over corrected me leaving me suffering consequences that would later arise. We did a touch up fat graft as well 3 months later before any problems had arose. The first problem to show was dark circles around my eyes that were never there before. This was vascular congestion as well as the poor placement of the fat. My orbital veins were not getting enough blood flow, and it was causing my inner eyes to be very red. Soon to follow, my right eyebrow started to droop and swell. My sinuses were being smothered causing them to swell and causing swelling around my entire orbital area. So, my right eye was starting to shrink! The skin around it was drooping and some days my eye would be nearly impossible to open. My left eye was ok, but it had developed a very dark ring around it. In addition to that, my nose started shrinking. No kidding! The fat was moving around and pinching my nose closed. I could barely breathe! I started getting anxiety attacks because the fat was making it hard for me to breathe. I had to pay $10,000.00 to have a highly skilled doctor remove the fat. It was an exhausting experience. I had to be opened up on each side of my face and put under general anesthesia for 7 hours. While the doctor did a pretty good job given the situation he had to try to correct, sadly some of these problems still remain. The problems are better but I don't think we got it all. I may have to go through this again. Also, now I am incredibly A-symmetrical because of everything. I'm depressed and lost, and still suffering from what the grafts did to me. I just want to feel normal again. I have had several MRI's done to be sure there is nothing else going on, and it's true, the fat is the problem and now I can honestly point fingers at Dr. Eades. Blows my mind... Stomach fat is different then the fat that is in our faces, so why do doctors think it's a good idea to transfer fat from one area of the body to another?! It's dangerous! I don't recommend nor suggest it for any reason. Perhaps if someone were to take fat from a surrounding similar region and donate it within the same region, that could work, but never let a surgeon place fat in your face from another part of your body. Now I believe this fat is stuck on my sinuses and is causing lots of problems that I may never rid of. If the very least I can do, please listen to my warning here... Stay away from fat grafts and stay away from Dr. Eades. He is extremely careless and he does not care if his patients suffer. I went in to see him when these problems were at their peak, and he told me I must have something else going on. He saw me with one eye swollen nearly shut, a bulge above my right jaw area, and the inability to move my right brow. Want to know what he did for me? Nothing. I asked if he could prescribe something to get the swelling down for the sake of my eyes, and he did nothing. He made it out as if I could have something serious going on such as a brain tumor or something. He said it was "impossible" for it to be the grafts. Well, turns out, now I can say, it is not only possible, it is.
2 out of 5 stars Fat Transfer
Updated rating: It is very hard for me to have reached this point. Unfortunately ever since a few days after my 2nd fat graft with Dr. Eades, I have had a really terrible outcome. The things I am going through are absolutely ridiculous and preventable. I don't even know where to begin. I suppose I will start with the fact that days after my 2nd injections, I had dark rings around both eyes....
