Breast Surgery
One of the most popular procedures in my Tucson practice is breast augmentation, which enhances breast size and shape. To give you an idea, in 2018, I performed 150 breast augmentations. When you compare that to the average number of breast augmentations an ASAPS board-certified plastic surgeon performs, I perform more than five times that number, with many patients coming from out of town to have surgery. My attention to measurement and size details are what set me apart from other surgeons. After performing more than 1,000 breast augmentations, I’ve become an expert at listening to patients about their goals and choosing an implant shape and size that will achieve those goals. To help provide patients with an accurate, 3-dimensional view of their before-and-after images during the consultation, I employ Vectra 3D imaging technology. With ultra high-resolution color image capture, it assures sharp definition of the smallest details.
Face and Neck Lifts
My surgical specialty and what I’m well recognized for at my Tucson practice are facelifts and facial rejuvenation procedures. To give you an idea, in 2018, I performed 130 facelifts. When you compare that to the average number of facelift procedures an ASAPS board-certified plastic surgeon performs, I perform more than eight times that number. A facelift tightens the skin and underlying structures of the face and neck to restore a youthful appearance. Patients often come in and say, “I hate my neck.” With a facelift, jowls and neck bands are corrected, resulting in a smooth neck and more refined jawline. I’m known for beautiful, yet natural facelift results. Last year, about 15 percent of my patients came from out of town to have a facelift procedure. This is by far the procedure I enjoy performing the most because it requires creativity, an artistic eye, and technical skill.
Eyelid Enhancement
Unfortunately, your eyes are one of the earliest areas of your face to show the signs of aging. Eyelid surgery, or blepharoplasty, can be performed on the upper and lower eyelids separately or at the same time. During the procedure, which is performed in the office under local anesthesia, unwanted skin and excess fatty deposits are removed and underlying muscles can be modified to create a more youthful, rested appearance. In my Tucson practice, a blepharoplasty is also performed at the same time as a facelift, browlift, or other facial rejuvenation procedures. A good candidate for a blepharoplasty is someone who’s seen significant changes along their upper and/or lower eyelids. Sometimes, patients who aren’t yet surgical candidates, but who have a little excess skin and some fine wrinkling around the eyes, will do well with laser resurfacing and a medical-grade skin care program to contract the skin and diminish the lines.

The safety of his patients is of utmost importance to Dr. Maloney, who operates at an AAAHC-certified freestanding surgical center that he co-founded and that uses a regular team of board-certified anesthesiologists. Staff members who assist with in-office surgery performed under local anesthesia are trained in basic life support or advanced cardiac life support.
Dr. Maloney also participates in the Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program with the American Board of Plastic Surgery, which reviews surgical experience and safety and requires ongoing written testing, competency exams, and continuing medical education.
