Thinking About Hair Restoration? Go to Dr. Scott Alexander

OVERVIEW Dr. Alexander and his team are absolutely fantastic. I had been thinking about hair restoration for sometime and roughly 9 months ago started to research what was possible. Ive seen many people with procedures done that look fake. What I found was there have been many advancements in the procedures that look 100% natural. CONSULTATION I had two consultations in the PHX Metro area. One with Dr. Alexander and one with another very well known company. I found the other company to be very sales oriented, trying to get me in and out. I was also surprised to find I didn't meet with the doctor who would be doing the procedure. With Biltmore Hair Restoration, it is completely different. I met with Dr. Alexander who walked me through the process, addressed questions and concerns, after care, ETC. Everyone was very friendly. THE PROCEDURE Little scary but an outpatient procedure that takes a full day but flew by. The worst part is getting numb but considering how much work is being done, I would say very little pain. Make sure you have enough food in your system. As your body starts to react to what is being done IT WILL HELP. The process if fairly simple. Clip down the hair from the area the will be extracting. Numb the Front and make incisions. Numb the back. Get in the ARTAS machine which will extract the follicle. The team works on the follicles and implants them. Side note. The ARTAS is a little uncomfortable but not bad, and completely worth my result. AFTER CARE They will have the pain meds and antibiotics set up in advance so you can have them at home. They will also have arranged your Finasteride and Minoxidil which will make sure your implant stays in place for life. THIS IS A TRUE OUTPATIENT. I DROVE HOME. The pain meds do a great job, to be honest there isn't much pain from the procedure. For me the only pain came from sleeping on the scabs that harden from the donor area. It sucks on day 2 and 3. You're head will feel insanely weird due to all of the medication from the procedure. It will fade and go away. This is in the notes they give you, but your head will also swell and give you a caveman look for a few days. That is also due to the medication they pump in you for pain and to slow your bleeding while they work. It will fade. Follow the simple aftercare instructions and you will be fine. Once you can wash the scabs off it is like nothing happened and everything feels normal. RESULTS 1st, don't worry when the follicles fall out and it looks like you just spent $$$ and went through a procedure for nothing. They tell you this and it is on anything you will read about FUE. THE FOLLICLE IS STILL INSIDE. In weeks you will start to see things growing back and in months you will have a completely new hair line that looks like you were born with it. After living with my new looks for months I have to look back at pictures to remember what I looked like. HUGE DIFFERENCE. People have told me I am reverse aging, and cannot believe when I tell them I had the procedure done. If you are on the fence in doing this I hope this review helps you push yourself over the finish line. I am very happy I went with it. I only regret waiting so long to do it. IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT THIS AND ARE WAITING OR NEED TO WAIT FOR ANY REASON. START TALKING FINASTERIDE AND MINOXIDIL. IT WILL HELP KEEP WHAT YOU HAVE WHILE YOU DECIDE OR SAVE UP.

I love the density of the hairline design

I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Scott Alexander. I did a lot of research before selecting him as the doctor for my hair transplant. I had been thinking about this procedure for five or six years. This year, I decided it was time. When I met Dr. Alexander in person, he confirmed for me that he was the clear choice for this procedure. There was no looking back. At this stage, I am two weeks post-procedure. When I arrived at his office the morning of the procedure, he immediately worked to put me at ease. I tend to have anxiety about medical procedures. At one point during the numbing, I needed a small break, and he made me feel that my comfort and the ease of process was his primary goal. His skill as a surgeon is incredible. I had an FUT procedure, and he harvested a few more hairs than he expected, all to my benefit. I ended up with 3,056 grafts. The FUT strip was closed up so well that my wife can't even find it. I love the density of the hairline design, which again points to his skill as a surgeon and his talent with hairline creation. Dr. Alexander educates you as a patient in terms of what a natural hairline looks like, and this is just an another reason that I'm so excited to see the final product in about a year. I will come back and post photo's then. Based on the how good things already look, my wife and I are so very excited. It also speaks volumes about Dr. Alexander that everyone in your procedure has been with him quite a while. He has trained his staff over years and they are top notch. They will all tell you how excited they are to help you and they can't wait until you come back for the one year visit and they can all celebrate with you. You will feel like this entire team is rooting for your success. I know there are other great surgeons out there, but I can't imagine having a higher level of confidence in my doctor. I would never select a procedure like this based on price. For me, my only criteria was choosing the best possible doctor. I know that my result in a year will be the best result possible. Updated on 18 Aug 2024: Now 9 months in, I can't believe how natural the result looks. My satisfaction is a 10 out of 10. My wife now says, "I can't even remember what you looked life before." Honestly couldn't be happier that I went through with it. If everyone knew this kind of result was possible, more people would be getting this procedure. I highly recommend talking to Dr. Alexander.

I’m excited to see my new hair sprout in the coming months!

Dr Alexander and his staff were very professional and catered to my every need throughout the day. I underwent a 2500 FUT and even though I’m at the early stages I can honestly say I would return to this doctor for another transplant, no question about it. His demeanor and knowledge were amazing. I had two prior FUT surgeries with two different doctors and Dr Alexander for me was better. His staff was very friendly and professional as well. I highly recommend Biltmore surgical hair restoration to anyone. I’m excited to see my new hair sprout in the coming months! Thank you Dr.Alexander and his team!

FUT 3000 Grafts - Couldn't Be Happier

I live in Arizona and it became apparent quickly Dr. Alexander was the best in the state after doing research on credentials, track record, and seeing his work. He is straight up, to the point, conducts his own consultations and shows objectivity in FUE/FUT recommendations based on the patient which matters. He is a trained surgeon which matters with respect to post-op scarring results. Check out the forums baldtruthtalk.com to go find dozens and dozens of his patients dating a decade back for proof. You'll notice that information is hard to find for many practices which should tell you something. I'm 3 or 4 weeks post-op and everything is exactly as expected and have zero concerns about scarring. If you don't pick Dr. Alexander then browse only IAHRS.org doctors for your choices. The FUT surgery is no walk in the park so brace yourself there. Dr. Alexander and staff made the experience as comfortable and ultimately as positive as you could ask for.

2nd hair transplant with Dr. Alexander and both were great!

I have had two separate hair transplants (strip method) with Dr. Alexander over the last two years and both were great. I met with a few doctors prior and ultimately chose Dr. Alexander based on this attentiveness, desire to set realistic expectations, and his approach on helping me envision the best long term hairline. You can tell that he really cares about quality work and takes pride in his results based on how he talks. I started with the front and then the crown a year later. The operation is pretty boring overall with minor discomfort (lots of sitting still and initial needle pokes to numb). First few days are not much fun at all, but not as bad as my wisdom tooth surgery years ago. The worst part about a hair transplant is waiting for the new hair to grow and having to wear hats a lot for the first 3-4 months (my hair was thin so both times they had to shave the transplant area to work better under the magnification glasses they use). The second time, I actually grew the rest of my hair out so at least I could barely pull off a bad comb-over until the new hair started growing. Overall it is something I wish I would have done a few years earlier or better yet, met with a doctor in my early 20's so that I could have started doing things to prevent/slow the hair loss in first place. I am sure everyone is different but not ignoring the problem would have probably saved me lots of time and money in the long run. Either way, now I have a solid head of hair and can wear it however I would like. No more having to wear it straight down or worry about a gust of wind!
