Could not be happier with the results - so happy I found this practice

I’ve had 2 procedures done at this office one with Dr. Maffi. I could not be happier with the results or of how I was treated by both Dr. Maffi and his staff. They are not only professional but very kind and understanding. I’ve recommended them to all of my friends.

Upper bleph performed in 2022 & a lip lift in 2023 with local numbing

I had an upper bleph performed in November 2022, and loved it so much I also saw Dr. Maffi in March 2023 for a lip lift! I am sooo happy with both procedures!! I did both in the office with local numbing (no anesthesia). So comfortable, zero pain, and made it easier for me to heal! I could not be more grateful and would definitely recommend Dr. Maffi to others!! I’m

I’m almost one year post op and so obsessed with my results!

I recently had an upper bleph at Maffi Clinic’s and from the front desk, to the patient care coordinator, to Dr. Maffi himself, the experience was amazing. I was incredibly nervous but the whole team was super responsive and handled my anxiety with care. Wendy (the PCC) responded to all my emails so fast which made me feel at ease. Dr. Maffi’s care, attention to detail, and light bedside man...

A 5 star experience —Dr. Maffi is a truly gifted surgeon

If you are looking for the best experience and outcome... look no further. I had a face lift and laser treatment about a year ago and I am thrilled with the results. I now look as young as I feel. Dr. Maffi is a truly gifted surgeon, he meticulously addressed even the tiniest of issues as I healed, communicated clearly and truthfully throughout the process and the results speak for...

5 Q&A

Q: Is it safe to combine a facelift and brow lift with liposuction? 43 year old healthy male who is fit physically.
Answered by Dr. MaffiNovember 21, 2023

A: In general, we aim to restrict elective surgical sessions to 8 hours or less. A typical deep plane SMAS facelift typically requires about 4 to 5 hours, with an additional hour to an hour and a half for a brow lift. Conversely, liposuction of the abdomen typically takes around 2 hours. The overall duration depends on your surgeon's efficiency in performing each procedure. Beyond time considerations, it is safe to concurrently perform liposuction with facial procedures.

I perform facelift procedures with added body liposuction often. It depends on your surgeons comfortability with the combination surgeries.

Q: Is laser resurfacing okay to perform during a facelift?
Answered by Dr. MaffiNovember 20, 2023

A: Laser resurfacing is very safe to perform at the same time as a facelift. and I do so on a good majority of my facelift patients.

The benefit of this is combining the downtime of each procedure into one and not having to endure the initial pain of the laser like you would if you were to do the laser treatment in the office.

Q: How many facial procedures at once? Is it better to do a couple of them at a time to lower your risk of complications?
Answered by Dr. MaffiNovember 20, 2023

A: It is not uncommon at all to undergo a brow lift, upper and lower eyelid lift, facelift, fat grafting and laser resurfacing to the face in a single surgery time. I perform this combination on a routine basis and in my opinion, it is always better to combine these as you are also combining the downtime of each procedure into a single time period. Although the anesthesia time is longer, we will only need to experience one operative experience opposed to 4-5.

This is not to say that you cannot split them up. There is absolutely nothing wrong with doing things here and there when they bother you. But again, if multiple areas bother you, I would always recommending doing it all at the same time.

Q: I am hearing that a lot of facelifts don't last past 5 years. Is this true?
Answered by Dr. MaffiNovember 20, 2023

A: Unfortunately, a facelift does not last 15 years. It depends on the age at which you undergo the procedure but in general, a properly done facelift will last approximately 5 to 7 years. An important caveat to mention is that after this time, you are not going to look exactly as you did prior to your facelift. You will still have an improvement, however, after 5 to 7 years you will most likely have some sagging and redundancy that could bother you and you may consider another facelift.

Q: Mini face + neck lift, fat grafting, and upper and lower eyelid surgery - truthful recovery time?
Answered by Dr. MaffiNovember 20, 2023

A: Having this combination of facial surgeries is very common and something that I recommend often to my patients. It will save you multiple recovery times by combining them all into a single surgery day. Typically, I tell patients that it takes approximately 4 weeks to start looking “normal” and 2 to 3 months until you will look your best. If you are on camera, I would suggest waiting 3 months to be fully camera ready.
