I have now seen two different doctors say that if the fat grafting to the face was done over two years ago, it is too late for any sort of removal. Is that true? If so, I'm screwed because mine was done over three years ago. I just haven't had the money yet to fix it. The fat I need removed is in my cheeks, nasal folds and above my upper lip. Is it really too late for me because this much time as passed?
I had fat transferred to my lips about 50 hours ago, which is how long I was told it would take swelling to subside. I'm currently freaking out because I asked my surgeon to pump my lips but keep their shape and size natural and not fill them too much, but this seems really excessive. Please tell me my upper lip is still swollen and will go down...I had relatively thin lips before but I did not want giant lips either. Can the fat be sucked back out if my lips stay huge??
After the procedure my right upper lip are bigger, more swollen than left. When i touch the left i feel its flat, no pain, no swelling while touching the right its lumpy, a little pain and feel fat inside. Seem like doctor has forgotten to inject the left. Doctor say its just different swelling. Im really worried abt the shape and the balance of my upper lips. Is this normal to have a side which is more swollen and feel completely different to the other side?
On Dec 8th I had fat transferred from my stomach to my upper lip. I paid $500 USD for the treatment. After the swelling was gone, I saw no change in the fullness of my lip. I asked the doctor that did the treatment if he could do a touch up. He told me its common that fat transfer doesn't work, and if I want it redone, I have to pay again. Is this normal?
I've seen the responses to this question on the site....BUT my lump is still in my upper lip and it's been a year since I had the fat transfer. It isn't noticable until I smile (with teeth), then it falls over my teeth on one side and looks kind of awful. I have to make sure I smile with closed lips... (My PS has moved out of state, so no help there.) I know fat transfers last for years, and overall, I like the results of mine, but is there anything I can have done to lessen this lump?
Hello, I'm 24 years old with very thin skin especially around my eyes and lips. I moisturize and wear sunscreen everyday but I still have lots of little lines forming. Would getting fat grafting to thicken these areas be a good long term solution? Thanks in advance!
