Hallo, Im coming across conflicting inormation. Some sources say its 3 months, some 6, others that its not before a year has passed. If Im not happy about the results after 3 months is there anything I could do to disturb the process of revascularization? By pressing very hard for example in the treated area or smoking or taking lots of caffeine? Could RF treatments at this stage help? Are fat transfers in the upper cheeks always irreversible?
Hi Doctors, 30M here. I'm 3 months post facial fat transfer, and I'm not happy with the result. My face was a bit narrow and deflated. My surgeon and I agreed on the plan to put 10cc on each cheek to give me a baby face. But after healing, my face is puffy, bulkier and wider. This makes my face more muscular, which is not what I wanted. Do I need to wait for more time before I get any treatment to get rid of the fat? Will waiting longer make it difficult to remove/reduce the fat graft?
Almost 3 months post op and I have a bag under one of my left eye never had them), and discoloration under both, after upper blepharoplasty and fat transfer to tear trough, upper cheeks and nasolabial lines. How can I determine if what I am seeing is swelling or something else that has resulted from the surgery? Also, regarding the fat transfer, how can I tell if what I am seeing is the resulting fat or if I am still swollen?
I'm 3 and a half months past a fat transfer surgery to the face, unfortunately it seems that it was botched. There a 2 areas that are unnaturally overfilled, giving my cheek an uneven appearance and whole face asymmetrical. They feel a little hard to the touch also. Is there anything I can do to get rid of this fat? Whether massage at home or some surgery? Also will removal lead to further side effects?
On Dec 8th I had fat transferred from my stomach to my upper lip. I paid $500 USD for the treatment. After the swelling was gone, I saw no change in the fullness of my lip. I asked the doctor that did the treatment if he could do a touch up. He told me its common that fat transfer doesn't work, and if I want it redone, I have to pay again. Is this normal?
I had facial fat transfer 3 months age to restore lost volume due to age (I am 49) and weight loss. I'm very pleased with my results but I will need augmentation, which is scheduled for late May. I read after the first transfer that massaging the transfer site can reduce the amount of fat that survives. Can massaging the skin when applying moisturizers and the like damage the grafts? Do I need to be super gentle when applying cream? Thanks.
A doc on realself stated that the ice packs too the face can freeze the grafts. If this happens, is it possible to kill the grafts causing reabsorption? Can this still happen at 3 to 6 months post op? How stable are fat transfer 3 to 6 months post op?
