Hello, I had a deep plane facelift, coronal brow lift, and lower lid blepharoplasty nearly one year ago. I know everyone is different, but, for me, the healing process has been extremely painful and slow. I still feel like I have a tight vice around my neck and have pain and swelling along the incision sites. Everything feels extremely tight and I believe it looks this way as well. My quality of life has suffered tremendously. My question is: What can I do and will this end?
Had facelift 5 weeks ago in another country. Scars I front of and behind ears. Told no sutures to be removed. Noticed very painful behind one ear in the area top of ear where my glasses touch. Close inspection shows an inflammed hole with a wire type of suture sticking out quite sharp and possibly another blue suture same hole. Cannot go back to surgeon as too far away. I think it might be a permanent deep suture and if this is the case will it be there forever irritating my skin? Other side is ok.
I had an R facelift 88 days ago and these are todays photos. The scars are red and puckered and my ears are still painful. My surgeon says this is normal. He said it was because this is my 2nd facelift. He also told me to go and purchase some scar cream! Do you agree?
Im a 57 yr old woman who had a deep tissue face/neck lift 1.5 years ago. Initially I was pleased but eventually, at 7 months, the lift started falling accompanied by constant pain along the incision lines and through the neck. Hypertrophic scarring began and has not stabilized. I have a new double chin and jowls are back. I need to hide my ears as the scarring has kept growing around them, circling the bottoms where I feel a constant pull and pain..Any ideas as to what has happened?
My Absorbable sutures in neck and under ears are not absorbed after 3 months. They are Causing sharp poking pain when touched and showing just under the skin. The PS surgeon i used said he can do nothing about this. Please any advice is appreciated. Can I go to any gp clinic and ask to have them cut out. They seem like I have them for life now. Sad
I had a mini face/neck lift 5.5 years ago - from the start I had issues healing. I had some puffy very sore marks along my jawline. The stinging nerve pain started & has continued all this time . Most of the time its tolerable, however, I have recently moved to the beach & with the constant wind, the stinging pain is worse. I dont want to have this get worse, is there anything I should be doing to make this pain less or stop? Thank you,
I'd like to get a facelift, but pain control concerns me. I vomited the 2 narcotics I tried: demerol and percocet. I assume all narcotics are off the table. I can tolerate only a couple of NSAID doses, due to my GERD. Vioxx used to work for me, but it was pulled from the market. Celebrex gave me a rash. Any suggestions; any hope for me? Thank you.
Literally started having the skin descend 30 male. Hi. Like the title says I grasped my right and left temple skin and pulled it upwards. After letting go I had pain on both temples, especially bad on the left, coupled with pain at the left cheekbone near malar pad). Also when I let go, the tissue on each side was lower than it ever was. Now I have intermittent pain at the temples and a pulling sensation near my left cheek when face moves. Also, the descending tissue gets worse each time I feel the pain. It keeps getting worse so time for lift?
I had a lower facelift/necklift 15 months ago & I still frequently have pain & I consistently have numbness where the internal stitches were located. Short of opening up the wounds is there any imaging technology that will confirm whether the stitches have dissolved? My surgeon said they should have resolved in no more than 12 months but my sensation has not changed & my neck is still flushed red where the platysma was sewn to the mastoid laterally. What are the potential L-T consequences?
