Hello! Im 5 months post facelift and noticed temple hollowing. Will I see improvement to this area as I continue healing or would it be beneficial to opt for filler or fat transfer to this area to restore balance to my face shape? Thank you so much in advance for the guidance!
Had a deep plane facelift 5 months ago. My surgeon (america board certified) did a awful job by creating incision outside of ear lobe crease. Also my ear develop deep indent along the front of earlobe. It is too visible and am so embarrased to go outside the public. I am so depressed. Can this be fixed.
I understand that after a facelift everything 'relaxes' a little but five months after my facelift, my face is still 'relaxing' and I am upset that although my face was more of an oval shape post-surgery it is now returning to more fullness at the bottom. Is this normal? I am concerned that it will keep on losing its nice post-surgery shape and that there will be little longevity in my facelift.
I have prickly pain in my ears (especially ear lobes) with intermittent acute pain in spots on and around my ears. I tried Neurontin which helped the pain but had horrible side effects and other drugs and cortisone injections in the grtr auricular nerves that did nothing. My surgeon wants to open up the area around the nerve to see if there are sutures that didn't dissolve but I am afraid of making it worse. Everyone tells me it will resolve on its own but I have had no improvement so far.
I had a lower facelift and neck lift with lipo five months ago and my plastic surgeon says she can not explain the extreme tightness in my sternocleidomastoid muscle. She has tried steroids and botox and I am massaging it with little relief. I am terrified I will be stuck with this for life. Has any Dr. heard of this or do know what may be causing this?
Days after my facelift w/fat transfer under eye/cheeks I noticed I had facial weakness/paralisis on one side . I could not lift my eyebrow, I had teary eye and the eye blinking was affected too. Now, 5 months later I have partially recovered but i worry that I still have numbness and my eye will not fully blink (or close evenly) - shape of eye changed (outside corner of eye looks down), droppy eye?, is this due to weakened muscle, is the nerve damage reversible?
Im 5 mos post facelift, and very distressed about the visible glands under my chin/jaw. My neck is slender, making the glands even more conspicuous. People regularly ask about my health, pointing out my swollen glands. I was not advised about this issue untill I pointed at them and asked (POST SURGERY)! Is there a specialist ANYWHERE who can remedy this? Please! I look deformed. Can a facelift be reversed? I will travel to any country if necessary. Thank you!
It about 5mths post op -healed fine -now has reopened and leaks minimal fluid -scabs over but wont heal or get smaller-no smell ,itch or pain. The first scab came off but its red underneath- slight bleeding. Could this be a hair or cancer even?
I had a facelift in April, and looked great for several months, but now I see that the right side of my face looks old again -- it has more sag that the left, which is fuller. It is barely noticeable, but it is to me! I have a dimple on that side that was black and blue forever. Can this be tweaked at all? I find myself pulling my face up a tiny bit up by the cheekbone area toward the hairline, and that fixes it. also seem to have bags under eyes not present before, near top of cheek bone.
So what are my options? My doctor suggested possible steroid injections at 6 months to hasten the dissolving. What will I look like with injections--will they make me look puffy? I am very uncomfortable and sometimes they tighten at night. I did not know recovery would take so long and be so uncomfortable. My eyes are still tight and pull at the corners.
