Almost 1 yr post deep plane face/necklift, I have numbness and irritation around my ears and sides of face still. I also noticed changes in my skin, its rougher textured and has a very red mottled appearance which is definitely unusual for me. I was wondering if nerve damage is affecting my skin quality, and if it would be beneficial to use a TENS machine? I also have quite a bit of inflammation and pain still. Thanks.
I had a facelift 15 months ago, and since then, my left eyebrow has been immobile. It has a little movement at the end of the brow, and thats all. I have lost my facial expression, and I feel so worried that it will stay that way. I started physical therapy and electrotherapy. I have used Proserin and Nuclo injections, but none of these have helped. What can I do?
Hello, I had a deep plane facelift, coronal brow lift, and lower lid blepharoplasty nearly one year ago. I know everyone is different, but, for me, the healing process has been extremely painful and slow. I still feel like I have a tight vice around my neck and have pain and swelling along the incision sites. Everything feels extremely tight and I believe it looks this way as well. My quality of life has suffered tremendously. My question is: What can I do and will this end?
Face and eyebrow lift done oct 2022 had horrible recovery w eyes so swollen and the left side being swollen shut for a month longer than right. Present timeIlike lower face results but my eyes look horrible and uneven. Left side smaller and slanted in shape. My eyes before surgery were larger and a pleasing shape. Now they are uneven and very surgery looking. They look un natural and asymmetric. The plastic surgeon told me I prob took photos w bad cell phone camera lens ?!? Any suggestions
I am 1 year after face/necklift which left me with a lot of scaring to me mainly left side. I have had done steroid injections which had improved the colour but all still raised. I have my final one year check coming up and want to know your opinion on any improvement you would think I could ask for to improve this situation, thank you.
Female age 55 I had a facelift a year ago and it seems like where the drains were it fills up like w/ fluid. probably isnt fluid but Its so strange. Everyday Im massaging it and using warm cloths and it hasnt gotten any better. Ive asked my surgeon and he told me that since he couldnt see it that I should concentrate on the lift he did under my chin. Im sort of happy but this feels like Im being chocked. Ive asked another Surgeon and he didnt know what to do either.
I had a lower facelift/necklift 15 months ago & I still frequently have pain & I consistently have numbness where the internal stitches were located. Short of opening up the wounds is there any imaging technology that will confirm whether the stitches have dissolved? My surgeon said they should have resolved in no more than 12 months but my sensation has not changed & my neck is still flushed red where the platysma was sewn to the mastoid laterally. What are the potential L-T consequences?
