I had eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) 7 weeks ago and am worried that I may have a permanent hypertrophic scar on one eyelid! It's raised above the incision line & lumpy beneath. My surgeon has no idea why & doctors here say that I should be patient & the scar will flatten and fade with time, however, the care advise has varied. Should I massage it daily, try silicone sheets/gel, try using medical compression tape or just leave it alone? NOTE: I have a VERY BAD reaction to all steroids!
Good evening drs. I am almost 6 months post op upper blepharoplasty. I worry that the strech marks will remain especially that they are visible to everyone. I still use silicone gel everyday for 6 months now . What do you think ? Should i continue with silicone gel ? shall i consider laser to remove the scars at this stage or is it too early and i should wait for one year to get the final result ? Please find attached the photos of before and all the healing process. Thank you very much !
I had blepharoplasty done 9 weeks ago, cyst like bumps formed, have had 3 kenalog shots and using silicone scar gel but bumps keep forming and getting worse. I look worse then before surgery and also noticed still eye lid droop as well. Right now main concern is getting rid of the bumps. My plastic surgeon said they can try to cut out bumps but she doesnt recommend doing, so for now she doesnt want to do any more treatments of kenalog. I'm so depressed over this...look horrible.
Okay to mix, silicone for day, non for night? I am considering using two creams for my scars bioCorneum for day because it has silicon and SPF and Kelsoft for night which seems lighter and may attack the scar in a different manner? Kelosoft is used for the topical treatment of scars. COMPOSITION Kelosoft cream contains 50% oil of henbane, white wax, lanolin, collagen, methylparaben (as preservative), and suitable excipients cream.
