Hello, I have done glaucoma and cataract surgery before and I had a tube shunt in the eye, I have severe droopy eyelid on the eye that has the issue. And its kinda blocking my eyes, I have tried raising the excess skin up to see how I would look if I had the upper eyelid surgery and the tube shunt isnt showing and I dont have dry eyes at all. Will I be able to get it.
I have had cataract and glaucoma surgery in both eyes as well as a DMEK cornea replacement in one. I still use glaucoma medication. How long should I wait before considering an eyelid lift as the lid is blocking part of my vision. With very dry eye already, should I have lower lid raised at the same time? Also, how is the eye protected during the lift procedure? Thank you for your response. I need this done but as you might imagine, I am quite nervous about it.
I have glaucoma, cataracts, dry eye, PVD, and allergy eyes. I take Lumigan, and as soon as it arrives, I will be using Pataday. My eyes hurt, and aggravate me constantly when I am working. I drive a truck so it's a constant bother. My upper eye lids are hanging down below my eye brows. Would removal of the excess skin help with the constant pain, and aggravation.
I am 64 mail my eye lids have got very baggy they are starting to effect my vision my family are always telling me to wake up as they think i am asleep. I'm super confused after reading so many conflicting opinions on getting a steroid injection vs surgery. 2 ophthalmologist i recently visited wants me to go for surgery. But I've had chalazions before and got steroid shots and worked like magic with no side effects. Are steroid injections really harmful? Some suggests that it can lead to cataract n glaucoma n stuff. I need some professional honest advice. Help!
I am 68, in good health, but have Glaucoma in both eyes and Macular Degeneration in my right eye. I keep the Glaucoma under control with drops and receive an injection of Avastin in my right eye every few months. Would this prevent me from safely having upper eye lid surgery? My Optometrist recommended the surgery because of my blocked field of vision. Thanks your opinion.
