Hello! I had lower blepharoplasty 2 weeks ago, but my left eye looks smaller than the other one after the surgery, the doctor told me that the eye will go back to it is natural shape, but i see that the eye is the same. Is it too early to judge, if the eye doesn't go back to its natural shape does the revision works in my situation? Plz help! Thank you!
I had upper and lower blepharoplasty 2 weeks ago and have a scab under the eye, but nowhere near the sutures. The Doc is concerned and wants to keep an eye on it over the next 2 weeks. He said its a concern as it may pull the eye down and maybe even have to have surgery and skin graft! Why has this happened and what else can I do to help it heal or prevent more surgery?
12 days post upper bleph. Despite faithfully using arnica, bromelain and Vitamin C for 2 weeks pre surgery, I got two very black eyes, lots of swelling and my scar lines are very visible and bumpy in some spots. It's only with lots of dermablend and my long bangs that I'm able to even go out in public. I feel like I will never look normal again. Am I disfigured for life? I feel sick to my stomach when I look in the mirror. Please help.
Hi I still have webbing of the skin at the inner corners of eyes 17 days after upper blepharoplasty! Is this normal? I have rang the hospital where i was operated and the nurse told me it was quite normal, that is due to swelling and the scars pulling. She assured me it will go away over a period of weeks to months as the scar tissue softens. Also i have a very lump like thick scar on the right outer corner of my eye which is very obvious! I would appreciate any feedback! Many thanks in advance.
Dear Doctors, I am 2 weeks post-op lower and upper eyelid. The lower eyelids are droopy and the right lower eyelid is still very swollen . do you think it shall pass with time or will I need to fix it with more surgery? if more surgery, which one and how long should I wait before having it (my Doctor says canthopexy in one year but it is frustrating to wait so long) please kindly explain the surgery and healing process and how long it usually takes. Thank you!
I had upper eyelid surgery on June 28th and had my stitches taken out on July 3rd and i also had extra eyelid skin removed. i was jus wondering if there is anyway to make the swelling go down any quicker..? My doctor said not to use ice packs anymore and to do warm packs but i was hoping there was a quicker way to lessen the swelling so i dont have to wear sunglasses out everywhere and can start wearing make-up
I had double eyelids, but left was hooded, so I had eyelid & ptosis surgery 2.5 weeks ago. Day 1, felt pull in outer corner of RIGHT eye & noticed peak at corner. Now, crease barely visible when eyes r open. Prior, I had big visible crease. I didnt want surgery on R eye, but Dr said I had to do both eyes. After, R eye crease is smaller. I look like I'm in shock. I feel he overcorrected. Dr says it's due to Herrings Law. Crease will be visible & pull go away once swelling goes down on L eye.
Lower blepharo 12 days ago, fat removed-repositioned transconjunct, then skin removed + cantoplexy. Postop is very slow, surely some changes will still happen, but 2 things haven't seemed to improve at all. 1)Scars+eyelid shape asymmetrical & one eye seems more sunken in. Anything I can do?Pull-ups massages (on which eye?). 2)Both eyelids have a small bag just under the extern scar, with very defined shape. is it seromas? How long to reabsorb and can do massages to help it go/can it be aspired?
I'm 46. Upper bleph. Day 16. I feel I look the same. The top of my lid touches my eye lashes. I'm super unhappy. Dr. says I'm swollen. Even if, the skin will still remain? Did he take fat pads out? Was he suppose to? Will my skin lift up more? What should I do. Feels sore still. Numb and heavy.
Its been two weeks since my upper eyelid surgery and the Co2 laser under eyes. Im happy with healing and results but have one unanticipated result. Theres a new wrinkle that didnt exist before in the inner corner of my left eye. Could this be a result of swelling that is still present? Or is this due to stitching and will require a new surgery to eliminate it? Is there a different way to get rid of it? Im afraid if I leave it as is, it will increase with age. And it bothers me! Thank you!
