I had an otoplasty last December but Im not 100% sold on the finished result. Im not sure if its just me but I feel like the ears look a little drooped/prominent still. Just wondering if there is any opportunities to set them back? Ive also noticed that the scars appear quite raised still, with a noticeable lump on one ear. Is this a normal part of the healing process? Or should I contact my surgeon?
I had otoplasty four months ago, and this is how my ear is healing. It doesnt match my other ear, and looks strange. My surgeon said that it could take up to a year to see the final results of the surgery. But is this normal? And if not, how long do I have to wait to have it fixed?
My ears have been severely under corrected through otoplasty. They were in the perfect position until I got a haircut and the barber pulled on them, and now they protrude again. Will this be able to be fixed through a revision surgery or will I need to go through another whole otoplasty procedure? I would like them pinned in close to my head and not floppy. Thank you in advance
Had ear surgery 1.5 years ago and since then have found my ears to be a bit uneven. What do you think? Would it be hard to fix? Also think that the right ear looks as bad as it did before. Could that be the reason for the asymmetry?
Did otoplasty 1,5 years ago and have almost regret it because my ears got a bit uneven. Is it ever possible to fix them to look some better. They are not the same shape but do you think it still is possible? It is the right ear I dont like
Hi, Ive recently had an otoplasty but I dont think its been a success. Is this considered to be pinned back, not sure I can tell much of a difference between my before and after photos. Should I consider a revision with the same surgeon? My ears look so much better in the morning when I take my headband off but seem to protrude within an hour or so.
I had otoplasty two years ago. Revision to the right ear last summer. Im perfectly happy with my left ear. My right however I am not, it seems the upper antihelix curve is less prominent and has a telephone effect. I may be hyper focusing on it. Is there anything that could be done or reasonable chance to get it to look more similar to the left ear.
Hello, Im 19 years old and had a otoplasty 7 weeks ago. My ears look pretty good but I have recognized that they are not symmetrical and especially at the top. The left one looks more pointy and the right maybe sticks out lite more. I think the worst thing is the pointy left ear which looks like a fairy and are much more noticeable when I take a photo on my self. Therefor I wonder if I can do another surgery in the future to make the ears more symmetrical and the left ear less pointy.
In 2021 I had my first otoplasty. After the procedure I was not satisfied with my right ear, the doctor suggested a another correction. After the correction the ear is even worse, the ear in the upper part looks cut compared to the left one. Is it possible to get symmetrical ears in this case? Is it possible to have another operation on the same ear? My surgeon suggested that we wait 12 months after the procedure and then we will think about what can be done with.
Hi, what do you think is the reason: Otoplasty performed successfully on March 2023. Initial results were very satisfactory. At 2.5 months post-surgery, a protruding suture in the upper third of the LEFT ear required removal, but it did not noticeably affect the outcome. No significant changes in ear shape over several months. After 26 weeks (nearly 6 months), the upper third of the RIGHT ear suddenly protruded more. Sutures that were previously palpable behind the right ear are no longer so
