Sorry to hear that your prosthesis fell off. Sometimes it happens, especially taking in to consideration that you have been functioning with it 7 years. What concerns me is that you don't really like your teeth and dentist that made those teeth 7 years ago did not listen to you... My suggestion would be: find a dental specialist who specialize is restorative dentistry - Prosthodontist and go for a consultation with him/her. Specialist will evaluate your existing prosthesis, will tell you if any adjustments are possible to improve the looks and if it is safe to re-cement again. After 7 years of use there might be changes in your mouth and you might need a new prosthesis done.

Before answering you question how many veneers you need it is important to perform analysis of your bite. That can be done by a dental restorative specialist - Prosthodontist. Sometimes people grind their teeth or bite heavily in different parts of their mouth and if you would get your beautifull veneers done you might be in danger of braking or chipping them off. So the answer is not very straight farward to your question, if you are a good candidate and how mant veneers you would need, but if you team up with a specialist in restorative dentistry - Prosthodontist, you will get all your answers and job done corectely.

There are few options how you can eliminate gaps in between the teeth.

One option is you can use composite material and close the gap by adding it to your front 2 teeth. That is the quickest and cheapest solution. It will not last you long, composite may change color and chip, but fix is also easy.

Better long term result can be achieved with porcelain veneers. They would require some tooth reduction, takes longer to fabricate cost more, however they are very aesthetic and strong.

And the another option for closure the space - orthodontic movement. This can be done using Invisalign system or conventional brackets. This option takes the longest time and is the most expensive, however you do not need to alter your beautiful natural teeth and the rest of the mouth might contribute from aligning all of your teeth and creating correct bite.

Veneers can be fabricated from composite or ceramic. If you have veneers that are made from composite material you can reshape it without any risk of fracture. If your veneers are made from porcelain and you do not like the final outcome, reshaping it is risky because porcelain can fracture, or by shaping it you can introduce cracks and it weakens it. 

Usually before final cementation of veneers, dentist show how they will look in the patient's mouth and gets approval and permission for cementation. The only way to change the shape of veneer significantly that is cemented is to re-do it.

Congratulations! You made a right choice - to use implants to support your removable denture. You will feel significant improvement in your function and aesthetics with implant supported prosthesis. Depending on your needs you might be proposed removable prosthesis that attaches to the implants and is removable or is fully supported by implants and removable only by dentist. The answer if you will need bone grafting for implant placement will be made by your surgeon who will evaluate your bone. My suggestion is find a reputable restorative doctor ( Prosthodontis would be the best) and get a consultation about your dental needs.
