Not too soon at all! There are many treatments out there for androgenetic alopecia. Minoxidil is a solid starting option, as is finasteride, and certain procedures such as platelet rich plasma injections. Furthermore, these treatments can be combined for even better results. It's important to note that no matter which treatment regimen you choose, results can take 6 months to notice. Additionally, results can vary. See a board certified dermatologist to determine which treatments are right for you!
PRP is a fantastic treatment for hair loss (particularly androgenetic alopecia). Studies have shown it to be successful alone, but many feel it works better when combined with other treatments such as minoxidil foam. Results are usually noticed 6 months after your first treatment - whether you do one treatment, or the more standard monthly treatment for three months. I personally have seen the best results in my patients who do monthly treatments for three months, then return for maintenance injections every six months. Hope that helps!
Hi! While laser is a great and effective option to significantly lessen hair growth and thickness, moles are best treated differently. The first step is an evaluation by a board certified dermatologist to determine whether your lesions are true moles, or other lesions that may look like moles - once that has been determined, options for removal can be discussed. True moles are best removed, either by shave removal, or excision - and sent to the lab for pathology (you never truly know 100% if a lesion is benign or not!). Other lesions, such as sun spots, can be treated by different modalities such as cryosurgery or IPL. Hopefully that helps!
Hi! Isotretinoin (accutane) is a fantastic medication for acne. Dosing-wise, it is all about the total cumulative amount of medication you take over a period of months. More than likely, a longer course would be needed to provide complete, lasting clearance. A shorter course would likely lead to incomplete clearance, and not provide lasting results. The actual day to day dose is determined based on your body weight and side effects. That said, there are many options out there- please consult with a board-certified dermatologist to discuss the many treatments we have available nowadays!
