Dr. Miller was outstanding when she performed my Botox and fillers. It was my first time doing this and she explained everything thoroughly. She erased so much time from my face. If and when I need a touch up, I’ll head straight back to her office.
My experience with Dr. Miller was amazing. I was nervous to get lip filler for the first time but Dr. Miller made me feel so comfortable. She was very practical and confident that my lips would turn out exactly how I envisioned. I’m so happy with the outcome! Go see her!
Amazing experience! Doctor Miller takes the time to address all your concerns and makes sure that you are absolutely happy with your results! She truly cares and is so wonderful to work with. Staff is very helpful too!
I visited Dr. Miller’s office to receive Botox and Laser Hair Removal for the first time. The office has such a professional and yet casual energy to it. I felt comfortable and taken care from the moment I arrived. Val welcomed me and went over all necessary info to check in. She was knowledgeable and helped make sure I understood what to expect. Once in the room with Dr. Miller I felt an ease. She has a gentle way about her. She made sure she discussed each procedure before starting. She asked how I was doing throughout the process. She was gentle and attentive. Dr. Miller didn’t assume to know what I wanted done with Botox. She let me explain what I see in my lines and what I would like to change. I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience and my results! Dr. Miller has gained me as a customer for the long haul.

The amount of solution injected does not necessarily tell you anything about how many units you have received. Botox can be diluted to different strengths for different applications. On average, I use about 16-20 units per band. The syringes used for these procedures typically only hold up to 1 mL. It is more likely that you received 0.7 mL of solution and depending on the dilution I would guess that was around 28 units with the most common dilution. Do keep in mind that the effects of Botox on the platysmal bands will take longer to become apparent compared to the treatment of facial muscles - often 2-3 weeks, so you still may see some softening of those bands. Appropriate patient selection is important, and the injections are most effective at improving bands that disappear at rest. Unfortunately, this treatment often is performed on patients who really require surgical intervention for the look they desire.
The common face shield that is worn around the forehead should be fine to wear the day after Botox. I would recommend waiting at least 4 hours before wearing it if your forehead was treated. Face masks to cover the nose and mouth can be worn during or immediately after treatment.
I am sorry to hear about your experience. Botox is very effective in treating the 11's when appropriately placed. You are right to look for a new injector. A reputable physician will take time during your consultation to listen to your concerns and offer recommendations on treatment options, but you should never feel coerced into any treatment. Botox is very popular, hopefully you are able to find a friend or family member who can refer you to a trustworthy professional. If not, spend time reading reviews and looking at before and after photos before scheduling with a new provider. I hope your next experience is better.
Most of the time it is the placement of injections rather than the amount of Botox used that causes eyebrow drop. The position and shape of the eyebrows are affected by muscles commonly treated with Botox to smooth lines in the forehead, glabella, and around the eyes. Injections placed too low on the forehead will cause eyebrow drop, but even appropriately placed injections can cause unsatisfying results in certain patients. I always like to spend a little time with my just talking to my patients and noting how much they are unconsciously lifting their eyebrows prior to discussing treatment. This is because those of us with heavy or hooded upper eyelids use the forehead muscles to create lift, and treating the forehead in these patients will cause a relative drop of the brow. Additional Botox can be used to create subtle eyebrow lift, but it is unlikely that it will completely resolve the issues you describe. The effects are not permanent and will wear off in most patients by 4 months. Be sure to discuss the problem with your provider before your next treatment.
Even in your 30's It is likely that you will need to repeat treatment every 3 to 4 months. This is because, even though your wrinkles are less severe, your muscles are still strong and will return to their normal function within that time. Combining good skin care and avoiding sun exposure are the foundations for healthy, younger-looking skin and can reduce your reliance on Botox to fight the signs of aging.
