I always have a wonderful experience with this doctor and the results are amazing. I had previously tried Botox but didnt like some of the side effects I experienced. Dr. Bucay recommended Dysport. I did not have the negative side effects and my results were even better. I always leave my appointment feeling great and looking great.
Dr Bucay has been my dermatologist for 14 years or more. I, quite simply, would not go any where else. Her staff is always courteous and attentive. With Dr. Bucay you never feel rushed. She will take the time to listen to your issues.
Above board staff, exceptional professionalism! Questions answered honestly about result expectations. The chemical peels I've had here always leave my face AMAZING-looking, after the peeling that is
Amazing dermatologist amazing staff. I visit the la casita office in Monte Vista and have had numerous procedures and maintenance treatments done. The staff is very warm and friendly and make you feel comfortable.
I've had my second Ultrashape session and was told I would see results after two weeks. I saw results after 10 days and am guessing I'll notice more now that the second has been done. I'll have one more treatment after this and will update with my final measurements. I exercise about 10 hrs per week, but always have a problem with flabby thighs. That's where all the fat goes for me! So, I had the treatment to focus on the area. It's painless, with only a little warmth experienced intermittently. I loved the staff and service provided and am able to be comfortable and make conversation while my treatment is being done. All my questions have been answered and I like knowing that this is a permanent solution to killing off my stubborn fat cells. I did experience a slight headache after treatment, I think it had something to do with an already aggravated muscle and feeling the vibrating pulses in my head. It was slight and went away with an aleve. I was told that's not typical. I highly recommend Dr Bucay's office for the treatment. Looking forward to seeing my final Ultrashape measurements! I highly recommend trying this cutting edge treatment.
exercise but cannot budge belly fat. Tired of needing larger size clothing to accommodate my belly. Had great experience and absolutely no discomfort or pain. Pleased that have already noticed results and am looking forward to my next 2 treatments. Sure beats going under the knife! Totally recommend this procedure to friends and anyone asking.
Finally a doctor that gets it right!! I visited Dr. Bucay's office last month for Xeomin injections and am very pleased with the results. Dr. Bucay has a wonderful bedside manner and is very knowledgeable of the product. I had previously tried Botox but this was my first time on Xeomin. I was so excited to see the beginning of the results in 3 days!! I was especially pleased that I didn't have that frozen look, but instead a naturally smooth forehead with a little movement as was my goal that was discussed beforehand. I have seen three doctors and never has anyone asked me exactly what look I'm trying to achieve. I'm am so glad that Dr. Bucay took the time to talk to me first and tailor the injections! I will definitely be seeing her again in the future for Xeomin treatments!
I am a 57 year old male tired of looking tired. I had heard of Dr. Bucay; She ran late, difficult parking, etc. I decided to finally bite the bullet and get BOTOX. My decision was made on her credentials, I can see parking be tough ,wait was a bit long, but WOW, Dr. Bucay made me feel I was the only person wanting BOTOX. I was received with "Good morning sir, may I get you a cup of coffee before you see the doctor", an analysis of my skin. I look and feel better, but i appreciate an an office and doctor that treats you like a person. I don't care about parking, waiting, when a "medical" office treats me like a person not a patient.
I went to see Dr. Bucay for advice because at age 53 my face had lost quite a bit of volume particularly around my cheeks and jaw area. She recommended Voluma. She injected a total of 2 syringes. Dr. Bucay talked me through what she was trying to accomplish with my cheeks and jawline. She informed me of all the possible side effects. Although, I was well informed that the site where she injected me would feel very hard for a few days, I still worried that evening after the procedure, because my cheeks were so hard and swollen. It took approximately three days for my cheeks to feel more natural. Within a couple of weeks of having had Voluma I was 100 percent satisfied.
Dr Bucay and all of the staff at La Casita are so nice and always make me feel comfortable during my visits. Dr Bucay's skills at injectables are top notch, she is so smart and knows just what is right for me. My results were that I looked like a younger, fresher version of myself. Perfect, have recommended to many friends.
Treatment of the tear troughs shoulkd be done only be highly experienced injectors familair with the anatomy of this region. That said, Restylane is usually my choice for treating this area as it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase (brand namse include Vitrase and Hylenex), the enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid. You definitely need to give it another 2 weeks for everything to settle down so you can have a more accurate picture of the final results. Radiesse can feel bumpy and wavy after placement, but will smooth out after a few days. There is no enzyme to dissolve this filler, but there are measures that can help with the bumps. You did not mention whether you had a treament like Botox or Dysport for the corws feet on the same day, but if you did, that can worsen the swelling. When possible I avoid using Botox and filler anywhere close to the eyes on the same day.
Botox can be very effective for treating enlarged masseters but may require more than one treatment to experience the full benefit. The key to success is correct placement and an adequate dose (number of units). You did not mention how many units were used, but if after 2 weeks, you can still clench and cause the masseter muscles to bulge out, you may need additional injections. Reduction in size of the masseters is gradual and I ask patients to allow at least one month to see results and to be prepared for additional treatments if greater reduction of masseter size is desired.
Botox/Dysport/Xeomin can all be used safely (off-label) to treat enlarged masseters, the powerful muscles we use for chewing. People with masseter hypertrophy (enlarged masseters) may complain of clenching, tooth grinding, and headaches, and tend to have a square jaw that causes an imbalance in facial features. Treating these muscles with Botox can be very effective not only in reducing clenching and tooth grinding, but also softens and recontours the jawline. A typical dose of Botox is 20 units per side but can vary depending on the size and strength of the muscles. As with any Botox/Dysport/Xeomin treatment, make sure you see a highly trained and experienced injector. I have had this treatment done and have been very pleased with the results.
With all due respect to your physician, Radiesse is not indicated for the tear trough area. It is excellent for the mid face and cheeks. Tear trough injections can yield very satifying results but also require the most skill to perform. I only use a hyaluronic acid filler like Restylane for treating this delicate area because the filler can be dissolved. If you have a bad result or complication with Radiesse, there is no way to dissolve it. Even good injectors can get into trouble treating the tear troughs. Make sure you doctor is extremely experienced in treating tear troughs as a lack of knowledge of the anatomy inclusing the blood vessels supplying this area can lead to severe problems, including blindness.
Botox is one of the most widely studied drugs and has received many FDA approvals for indications ranging from treating frown lines and crows feet to migraines to axillary hyperhidrosis (undearm sweating). Botox (and its alternatives Dyport and Xeomin) injections should be performed by an expertly trained and experienced physician. This is not a treatment to be done outside of a medical setting. Problems arise when people take shortcuts such as looking for "deals" and not checking the injector's credentials. There are so many " worth it" reviews from happy patients, making Botox the number one cosmetic treatment in the USA. Keep in mind that the results are temporary, which is both the good and bad thing about Botox - good if you don't like it and bad if you do because you have to get treatmant again.Do your research and find a good injector in your area. Properly done, Botox treatments are simple, safe, and effective.
