I went through UAL (ultrasound assisted liposuction) of the whole body on September 20th 2018. Surgery was performed by Violeta Skorobac Asanin, in Diona hospital, Belgrade, Serbia. This procedure is advertised on the Clinic's website as a huge amount of fat loss (up to 18kg in one day), under local anesthesia. I am 174cm and weighted 85kg before procedure, agreed with dr Violeta to try to take as much fat she can. First negative surprise was the fact that no one even mentioned local anesthesia, but a total one. I agreed with that. The price for the whole body liposuction was 7000 euro (1000 per zone: upper and lower belly, waits, upper and lower back, inner and outer tights). Second negative surprise was that during awakening from total anesthesia, I was told that 7l of fat was removed, which wasn't in agreement with what was agreed with dr Violeta). Next morning, dr Violeta came to check me, stating that she took 8l of fat, but that she didn't do anything on legs, since my skin is too lax and that taking fat from my legs would cause irregularities and that tightening would be required, so she decided not to do anything about my legs, but that she did take some small amounts of fat around my knees, something like 1/2l of fat from both legs, in total. I immediately noticed that hard layers of fat were still present in my lower abdomen, and that right side of the middle abdomen is very asymmetrical compared to the left side. Upper belly is also full of hard fat, ribs are asymmetrically left with hard fat layers. Back was completely left with fat. Left leg is lumpy, has waves on it and there are amounts of fat left in the left inner knee. Dr Violeta completely refused to look at the results, she only measured centimeters lost. And although I immediately told her about asymmetry and hard fat leftovers, she refused to look at it, stating that it was my hip that caused asymmetry and that it cannot be better (this statement was checked with couple of physiatrist and aesthetic surgeons, all confirmed that this asymmetry has nothing to do with my hip position). Every each control visit (one month, 2 months, 3 months, 4 months and 6 months, and 1 year control), same thing would happen: I would point to asymmetries and lumps and bumps, she would measure me. She refused to do a ultrasound revision, stating that ultrasound has already melted all that could be melted and that only regular liposuction (PAL) would be able to get more fat out, but that it would leave me with hematoma, damaged blood and lymph vessels and more loose skin. She refused to return money for untreated areas (especially for the legs ), and refuses to do an ultrasound touch up for untreated areas, claiming ultrasound is expensive to use again, which meant I should pay for a revision. One year control visit showed decrease in measurements, not much but 1-2cm in each area, so there was no gain in weight during the time since procedure till today. Not once she really looked if she had left fat in certain areas. Other than than, I can say that the procedure and recovery it self went great, there was no complication. Anesthesiologist, prof Dobrila did amazing job, as well as a nurse Branka, that took care of me during the night spent in the hospital. These two did amazing job and I can't thank them enough, but the surgeon dr Violeta Skorobac Asanin was a real disappointment. Overcharged me and refusing to give back money for untreated areas, left me undone and with areas I will have to fix in the future. I would never recommend to anyone doing liposuction in Diona, especially not with Dr Violeta.
