Dr. Mehan is an amazing plastic surgeon and also very personable. I had some injections done by him and it was painless, with amazing results! He cares about what is best for his patients and to get the best outcome for you. I would highly recommend him for all of your plastic surgery needs.
I saw Dr. Mehan for a VI peel his Physician's Assistant performed the peel. She was wonderful. I think that she must be an expert because I have had peel before and my lips end up cracked and bleeding. I had one one time and I swear my eyelids were burned, nothing horrible but my previous peels made me nervous about having the VI PEEL- They have really gone above and beyond
From the Office Staff to the Physicians Assistant's Dr. Mehan really offered a safe reliable treatment area. His Physician's Assistant Megan was wonderful. She explained everything thoroughly and they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. They even provided a consult for a previous procedure that needs to be revised (That Surgery was from another Dr. I trust these guys with my life. I can't say that about most Doctors.
It needed to be done.
WORST DOCTOR EVER!! I am still crying. He messed up my procedure and ignored me after I had surgery with him. He told me I would have to pay him another $8K if I wanted a follow up procedure with him to fix his mistakes. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR. He only cares about your money and doesn't care about you as a patient. I never had such a bad experience with a doctor.
i had a surgery with him . he was supposed to fix my nose .. he made it even worst . then sent me a bill of $75.000 for a nose job!!! crazy huh ? well i dont have time to sue him but i will when i do . i do not recommend him at all . if you want to experience pain , bad results, theaft . go to hime his the best !
Agree with others. 1. You need a CT scan of the facial bones/orbits. Need to look for evidence of other previous fractures so that you can be treated correctly 2. You need an Ophthalmology exam. Specifically (provided no depressed cheek bone fracture) to get a hertel Exophthalmometer reading. This measurement will tell you if you have a significant difference between the two eyes. 3. If you are not having trouble with vision ie double vision, really consider carefully if you want to do anything at all. As a surgeon that frequently treats facial fractures, delayed orbital fractures can be difficult and come with a risk (albeit tiny) of blindness in the affected eye. cheers and good luck.
Agreed with Dr. Placik. How long dsyport sticks around should not be related to your excercise regimen. Cheers!
There are a variety of companies that offer compression garments. Marena group comes to mind (NOT an endorsement!) but there are several others. Regardless you definitely want to talk to your doctor about what kind of garment. Your surgeon should help guide you as to what kind of garment to get, and can guide you much better. Good luck!
I'm sorry to hear you had bruising for so long restylane injections. Unfortunately it happens to all of us once in a while, and I hope you do not look poorly on your physician for causing a bruise. Whether you get more or less bruising or swelling is difficult to say. It is also difficult to compare the apples and oranges of restylane and radiesse since they are used often for different purposes, in different tissue planes, and with different injection techniques. All these factors can also vary by the injector. In my hands I do think I've seen less bruising with radiesse than restylane, but I use them for very different areas, and in different ways. The best thing a patient can do is avoid all aspirin, nsaids, and other herbals that have been shown to increase bleeding. Also be aware if you bruise easily or bleed more than usual (heavy menstrual cycles etc), you might be a bit more apt to also get more bruising after injections. Also talk to your injector. Let them tell you about their experience and what they've seen. If you have a good relationship, they should be an effective guide to getting the right injection for you. good luck.
Sarasota, So it's a bit unclear whether you have already had nipple reconstruction and it went flat, or are researching to find out how to prevent flattening after nipple reconstruction. This is a problem that has dogged us plastic surgeons for quite some time. Although we can often get a nipple quite upright, the scarring and tissue remodeling combined with pressure can often lead to nipple flattening. Either way, whether you have already had a nipple reconstruction, or are about to, there ARE ways to make nipples remain upright long term. I've had success in both types of patients by using an implant material within the nipple reconstruction. Which material and the exact technique will be up to your reconstructive surgeon. I prefer alloderm, a commercially available cadaveric human dermis product. In my hands this product and the results have withstood the test of time. There are also other products available and you should discuss this issue with your surgeon and see if you can come up with a plan. Good luck!
