Lipodema - Just in case you are suspecting you have it or struggling with your Lipodema journey, I thought it might be helpful to share my surgery experience with you.
I have had 3 x liposuction a Tummy Tuck and Thigh Lift over the past three years. I can honestly say, although no where near perfect, the surgery are certainly the best things I have ever done. Cost of £34000 and a few debts to pay but worth every penny. Good luck with your surgery journey. Mr Karri was amazing for me xx

I am 7 weeks post op for thigh lift and feeling back to normal again.

First 48 hours and week the worst and fine after a month. No complications or issues. My fifth surgery for Lipedema with Mr Karri. Although my body will never be perfect Mr. Karri.

After a couple of months i am fully healed after Thigh Lift surgery. Scars have healed really well and no fatigue.
I found Arnica and Calendula really helped my healing, swelling and bruising and a good quality multi vitamin from BioCare. Plus lots of protein.

Today is the first anniversary of my liposuction procedure for Lipoedema with thigh lift. As I reflect on the my experience I felt I wanted to share this with others considering treatment with Mr Karri.

I was highly recommended the Karri clinic by my local health professional & I am delighted with the final outcome. I travelled 200 miles for my consultation & operation however I am so pleased I made the decision to seek out the most proficient surgeon for my procedure.

From the initial consultation I felt totally informed & trusted the advice I was given. The team from the Karri Clinic & the Kinvara hospital were amazing & could not have done anymore to ensure I was supported through the whole process.

The hospital & nursing team were fantastic so I felt comfortable during my stay.

The result from my procedure has more than met my expectations so much that for the first time in my adult life I feel confident to step out with my new legs.

Mr Karri has been an excellent doctor both with initial and ongoing care and surgery. I have had three operations for Lipoedema so far and having a fourth. His service, professionalism and care has always been excellent. He is very helpful and approachable and happy to answer any questions.

Mr Karri was wonderful and took my problems seriously and kindly. His information was informative and I understood all aspects every step of the way leading to my surgery. After my consultation I felt confident I wanted to proceed with surgery and with Mr Karri. His team are excellent and caring and I would highly recommend.

After being self conscious about my legs from my teens, at the age of 27 my legs seemed larger/more swollen than ever with strange pain round my ankles/calves. After research Into lipoedema I was still unsure whether I had the condition or was just unlucky that no matter what diet/exercise I did my legs would stay the same (I’m a size 8 on top but my legs would sometimes be a size 12). At this point I booked a consultation with Mr Karri who instantly put me at ease and explained that all the symptoms I had been experiencing was classic lipoedema signs. Mr Karri explained that due to my age we could wait a couple of years and see how I go or I could go ahead with surgery which left me feeling no pressure to make a decision right away.

After thinking about my options I decided to go ahead with surgery at Kinvara hospital. From the moment I walked in on surgery day everyone was lovely and made me feel comfortable, from the reception staff to the nursing/theatre staff. Mr Karri visited me before I went down to theatre and explained the process again and made sure I was ok. I was most concerned before surgery about my post op recovery and although everyone is different I found that at worst I felt uncomfortable in the compression tights but my pain was completely managed and I never experienced terrible pain like I imagined I would.

I am now 3 months post op and my results are brilliant, after years of complaining about my “cankles” I now have a perfect ankle/calve and the pain I had before my op has gone. I would highly recommend Mr Karri and his team, their level of care and Mr Karris expertise will put you at ease and leave you confident in achieving the desired results.
