Unslightly vein removal on left bicep? Can it be removed with laser ablation? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

The options are (a) microphlebectomy, i.e. physical vein removal from tiny holes. (b) Sclerotherapy (injection) might be an option too, however as I see the vein is pretty large and you may need several injection sessions and the treatment maybe associated with some post injection discomfort/pain (phlebitis) and temporary local discoloration. Please note the area closer to elbow cannot be treated due to conjunction of some vitals vessels there.

What's the procedure called to remove transparent blood vessels from chest?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Most of the larger (blue) veins can be removed with sclerotherapy injections. For very superficial, bulging and curly veins microphlebectomy is an option too. With both procedures excellent and permanent results can be achieved.

Should my legs be looking like this one day after injection sclerotherapy (lots of redness/disclouration)? (Photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
You might have a lot of bruising, discoloration at the site of injection right after sclerotherapy. The injection sites might be tender and "hard" on palpation. Usually those are normal findings. Continue with compression, avoid direct sunlight you may also consider local Arnicare cream.

Artery/vein bulge near eye? Any solution possible? (photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Dupplex ultrasound can give the exact answer if that is vein or artery (if it is pulsating most probably thats a branch of temporal artery).
I dont believe if there is a safe solution to remove artery in that area. In case of vein, you can vein surgeon for sclerotherapy or microphlebectomy. Both workwell when done by experinced specilait.

It looks like you just have prominent veins on your hands and this can be normal finding.
If this is psychologically affecting you, then you definitely might need to treat them.

Options;
Permanent - Sclerotherapy, microphlebectomy
Temporary- Filler injections

Good luck

Would a 5mm incision leave much of a scar? Would it be very noticeable? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Well, less invasive than surgery, but more effective than laser treatment option for that vein is sclerotherapy. 1-2 injection sessions  should completely and permanently eliminate that vein without marks or scars. It is also very safe. Make sure to see ABVLM certified vein specialist for seeond opinion.

What is the average cost of foam sclerotherapy on the hands and forearms for women in Los Angeles? (Photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
As you mentioned, sclerotherapy of hand veins permanently removes veins, unlike fillers that usually needs to be repeated every year.
In our clinic, we use either straight sclerotherapy for mild and moderate bulging veins  or combined (sclerotherapy +microphlebectomy, i.e. vein avulsion through tiny holes on skin) and both techniques provide excellent  immediate and permanent cosmetic results.
Based on the picture you provided, sclerotherapy only will be sufficient enough for your hand vein. We do charge $400 per hand for treatment and pretty much guarantee the results of the treatment.
Along the price, please, you should make sure that procedure is performed by certified by ABVLM vein specialist at accredited vein facility.

Sclerotherapy choices. Any suggestions? (photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)
Most commonly used sclerosant are Polidocanol and Sodium tetradecol because of there effectiveness and safety, however use of sclerosant is choice of physician. Sclerodex usually is not first choice for sclerotherapy for most of the experienced vein doctors and as far as I know Sclerodex is not FDA approved yet.
I would recommend to make your selection according physician experience, credentials (must be certified by ABVLM) and preferably  at accredited vein facility.

Great experience and treated so well!

I cannot say enough great things about my experience at Dr. Melkonyan's office. I went through several months of treatments for large, throbbing varicose veins I had in both legs since my third pregnancy. Dr. Melkonyan was absolutely wonderful- always explaining what procedures were ahead and what to anticipate. The procedures and recovery went as described and expected and I can actually show my legs again! His staff is also great, very kind, helpful, and accommodating. I would highly recommend Dr. Melkonyan to anyone who has been putting off getting their varicose veins looked at. You will be treated well and your vein issues will be fixed!

Best Doctor! - Sherman Oaks, CA

After pregnancy I noticed a lot of visible veins on my body and decided to get sclerotherapy. Dr. Melkonian treated the unwanted veins with sclerotherapy and I am beyond pleased with the outcome. I had treatment on my hands, chest, breasts, legs and feet without any complications. The procedure is not painful, and I find the price to be fair.
