I am a little frustrated with my results as I was not significantly overweight. I am nine months post-op and weigh 2.5 lbs. more than I did not including the 1.5 lbs. for the 375 cc Mentor saline implants. I do not feel that enough liposuction was done on my flanks. I am also accumulating more fat on my abdomen. My skin did restretch and I have the same stretch marks as before. The majority of my incision, both horizontal and verticial, have keloids as does my new belly button (which is not centered.) I should note that my surgeon has said that he does want me to be happy and will rectify the situation. I have not had the nerve to ask him about the costs.

I rarely get on here, but I just looked through a couple of pics after looking up how to get rid of back fat. Please be aware everyone (especially people who are short), that this fat, even if it is a couple of pounds, will find it's way back to your body. In my case, now, at 44, it has relocated to the front of my thighs, knees, and my back flanks. I was working out with weights regularly when I had this done at age 38. I am 5'1" and was quite a bit more muscular than I am now. I walk regularly but the winter weight has crept on. I am 136 lbs now. Unless you are so disgusted with your body please do not go through this procedure. I nursed both my children for a year each and they are 22 months apart. It took a toll on my boobs. That being said, now that I have implants that were placed underneath the muscle, when I am bent over, the implant shows from the outside and my original saggy boobs are still droopy and unattractive. Before sedation my surgeon discussed one amount in one side and one in the other to try to even my boobs out. He went ahead and changed his mind while I was under sedation. This can happen to anyone. We have no control when we are under the knife. I was told that he would avoid at all costs doing a vertical incision as well as the horizontal. My horizontal scar is not even remotely even and the vertical scar isn't straight. My belly button is not even centered and it still is not big enough to fit a pencil eraser in.
Love the body that God gave you. You are beautiful. We are always striving for perfection, but there are complications that can happen and it is thousands and thousands of dollars that are being spent here. Do your research if you do it. Ask for their before and after photos. Contact other patients to get their opinions. Do your homework and don't be afraid to hurt feelings and go elsewhere.
