After the birth of my children and working full-time, I had very little time for myself or to worry about my urinary incontinence. I was resigned to the fact that I was going to have to wear panty liners or Depends for the rest of my life, but Emsella came to the rescue. I have had 3 Emsella treatments and have already noticed a huge difference. I can actually jump on the trampoline with the kids and not worry about leakage! This has been an absolute life changing treatment for me. Thank you!
Dr. Alster is simply the very best! She has a unique mix of professionalism and talent and has shown me genuine kindness every time I've visited. She caters to my unique needs and I always leave satisfied with great results. I'm truly grateful to have found such a wonderful physician.
Excellent. Dr. Alster listens to the goals you are trying to achieve and offer solutions for each one of them. My results were outstanding and I could not be more pleased. I wanted to look beautiful for my son's wedding. Thank you Dr. Alster!
Dr. Alster is the most thorough, dedicated, divine doctor - she takes the time to listen to each patient's concerns and tailors her treatments accordingly. Never cookie-cutter, always natural looking and refreshed. Her style permeates the entire office - it is immaculate, the staff is cheerful and incredibly capable. From the moment you arrive everything is about you - I felt like every needle, every instrument, every recommendation was spot-on and never overdone. My regular visits are such welcome pamperings, after which I feel like she turned back time. And Dr. Alster even "fixed" inferior work on my daughter. I highly highly recommend her to anyone considering the latest in dermatologic procedures. Dr Alster literally wrote the book on laser skin treatments and her work is brilliant.
I needed laser hair removal, chemical peel and IPL
I wanted to like Dr Alster but her office is so unbelievably rude when I went in for fillers that I won't be returning. They treat the doctor not even like a human being but some kind of God, like you're so lucky to even get an appointment. I went to a dermatologist in New York City this round who says that she knows Dr Alster really well, and she is getting a lot of DC patients for similar reasons. Maybe you will have a different experience, but unfortunately for me, it was really disappointing.
Based on FDA clinical trials involving 2,700 patients undergoing filler injections, 67% of patients bruise from dermal filler injections. While 45% of these patients said that their bruising was mild or tolerable, 26% reported that their bruising was severe enough to affect their daily activities. To reduce the odds of bruising, avoid anti-inflammatories like aspirin and ibuprofen; herbal supplements- especially garlic, ginseng and gingko biloba (the Gs); and alcohol for two weeks prior to your appointment.
In most cases, your recovery is more dependent on your own tendency to bruise than on your injector’s skill. On average, nearly 70% of patients experience bruising from dermal fillers (according to the Juvéderm and Restylane instructions for use). While most patients reported that their bruising subsided within a couple of days to a week, 22% had bruising that more than a week. Since these FDA studies were conducted by the top injectors in the country, it’s a reminder that no matter how excellent your injector is, bruising can still occur. To reduce bruising, many practitioners recommend the use of topical arnica, bromelain or high-dose Vitamin K. For future procedures, avoid ingestion of aspirin and ibuprofen; alcohol; green tea, and herbal supplements~ particularly the G’s (garlic, ginseng and gingko biloba) for 2 weeks preceding your injections and limit heavy exercise for 48 hours after injections.
No matter how skilled your physician is, it is very difficult to avoid bruising when having fillers injected. In fact, most patients see bruising after dermal filler procedures—on average, 67% of patients bruise (based on 22 clinical studies with > 2,700 patients). These FDA studies were completed by some of the most experienced injectors in the world, which further demonstrates that bruising is common among even the most skilled practitioners. For two weeks before your appointment, try to avoid anti-inflammatories or anticoagulants (aspirin and ibuprofen) and high-dose herbal supplements (especially garlic, ginseng and gingko biloba). I also recommend the use of arnica-infused patches (Cearna Ocumend) in order to reduce the incidence, severity, and bruising associated with filler injections.
Panniculitis (fat inflammation) can occur after Vanquish RF treatment. It will eventually resolve on its own. Avoid manipulation of the area and further treatment until it does. For the discomfort, take ibuprofen and apply cool compresses. Follow-up with your physician if the nodule/lump or pain persists.
