I would not be too concerned with the surgeon not showing you before and after photos. Every person is different so showing you a before and after photo of a different person doesn't really apply to your personal case. In addition, before and after photos are usually the at least an "average" result and in some cases are the surgeons "best" results.Soon, again,segueing you those pictures doesn't really apply to your personal case. What is more important is confirming that your surgeon is a board certified plastic surgeon and to ask him/her how many rhinoplasty cases they have done. These are much better predictors of your outcome than a couple of photographs of other patients.&nbsp;

I am looking into a rhinoplasty and have been shopping around for different doctors. The first few that I went to had before and after photos on hand and on their website. The third did not have any, and when I asked to see them he said that HIPAA privacy rules prevented him from showing me the photos. The first two doctors had private practices and this man works with the hospital system...could that have something to do with it? Otherwise I really like him but the "no photos" makes me nervous!

The cartilage that is harvested from the ear is from the conchal bowl which is the deep part of the ear behind the ear canal. Only a portion of this cartilage is taken. Loosing a portion of this cartilage will not affect your heading or ability to wear earrings at all.&nbsp;

I had quite a bit of cartilage in my left ear harvested for my nose job. My ear seems fine although sometimes it feels strange when I put my hand behind my ear and feel that there is significantly less cartilage. Will cartilage harvesting affect hearing? Also, is it safe to wear dangling earrings a year after such an operation?

It is difficult to say without examining you, but in general I would recommend a inframammary fold incision because if it does keloid it would likely be hidden by the augmented breast.&nbsp; There are other options that might be better for your specific body (including perhaps not having surgery).&nbsp; I would discus your concerns for scarring with you board certified plastic surgeon and then they can guide you to the best option for your body and skin type.

A sudden change in the size and shape of the breast warrants evaluation by your board certified plastic surgeon. In general, breast implants last, on average, about 10-12 years. Therefore, it would not be unexpected if the implants have ruptured. However, a detailed history, physical exam, and possibly an imaging study are needed to make this diagnosis. Thus, my recommendation to be seen by a board certified plastic surgeon soon. Good Luck!

I had reconstruction 10 years ago with silicone implants...Suddenly my left breast looks smaller and has a small pocket of loose skin on it. Is it leaking? Is this normal wear and tear?

Without examining you it is difficult to tell if you are developing rippling.&nbsp; Rippling is less comon with silicone implants but it can occur.&nbsp; I would schedule a followup appointment with your board certified plastic surgeon to allow him or her to examine you and advise you on their findings. Hi i got some answers to this, one saying that they will move during exercise and then go back to normal. Im fine with that i dont experience any pain with the exercises im just concerned about them gradually moving under my armpit. Will that happen with these exercises? also, I just noticed that i have two bubble looking thing in my breast, its soft to touch, but they are visible. Just wondering if they are rippling? (i have 350cc silicone unders done dec 2009) no recent weight loss

While general guidelines can be given over the internet, to fully assess the best size for your body and your postoperative desires, you need to be examined and counseled by a board certified plastic surgeon. Don&#39;t get caught up in the number (i.e. 400 cc vs. 350 cc etc).&nbsp; Discuss exactly what you want your postoperative result to be and&nbsp; then trust that your board certified plastic surgeon has the knowledge and skill to give you that result.

I currently have 275 mentor round smooth saline implants filled to 300cc&#39;s. I am considering switching to silicone and I am looking to be a little bigger but not much. My rib cage measurement is 30 and I am currently a 34 full C small D.My doctor suggested going with 350cc&#39;s silicone but will this be enough?I mentioned I want to go to 400cc&#39;s but he said it would be too much.I am only 5&#39;0 and I don&#39;t want my breasts to have the &quot;fake&quot; look. I am changing because I am hoping to get more cleavage.

	You should let your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon know right away about the tooth abscess and see if they would like to postpone the surgery. Remember, your breast augmentation is completely elective and you don&#39;t want to do anything to compromise the results.&nbsp; With a tooth abcess, you might be at increased risk of seeding the implants with bacteria which could lead to an acute infection requiring the implants be removed or you might be at increased risk of developing capsular contracture later on. Of course, without knowing your personal history and examining you only general advice can be given so, again, make sure that your personal surgeon is notified right away so he or she can help you make the right decision.

I have breast augmentation scheduled in 5 days and started antibiotic for an abcessed tooth yesterday. Can I still go through with the surgery or should I postpone it?
