He supported all my choices, made suggestions based on his experience and took great care of me throughout the entire process, from the consultation to surgery, and post surgical care. 46 yo mom of two and substantial (60-70 lb) weight loss after years of weight fluctuations. Because I had been a chubby teen, I never wore the bikinis or cute clothes, and after getting in the best shape of my life, decided I earned the body I should have had. I met with Dr. Bruce for a consult and immediately knew he’d be my surgeon. Only recommended what I needed, GREAT bedside manner- hilarious, and very up on the latest research. I’m currently 3 months post op from drainless tummy tuck with muscle repair and could not be happier, both with my results, and with the aftercare from Dr. Bruce and the staff at Illume. I’ve had 1 day, 1 week, 1 month, and 3 month visits, and I’ve seen the surgeon each time. I will have a 6 month and a 1 year visit, and will be discharged after that as long as everything looks good. This is all included in what I thought was a very reasonable price. And any time I’ve had a question between visits, I’ve been able to email pics to the nurse, and she gets me answers right away. I’m so pleased with my experience, and would recommend Dr. Bruce and Illume to anyone looking for a similar surgery.
In my opinion, I like to use a patient's anatomic sizing, personal desires, and wish photos to pick implants together. Spending this time with your surgeon helps everyone get on the same page regarding goals and desires. I counsel patients to not worry TOO much about relatively small differences in implant volume (around 50cc) as this difference can be very subtle once all healing is complete.
