Surgery was originally scheduled for September 28th and got moved to October 19th. The doctor was going to be out of the country 3 days after my surgery, and he wants to be around for at least a week after, because my situation is complicated. Because I got a blood clot after my foot was cast earlier this year- I have to give myself blood thinners for a week after surgery. I am glad he rescheduled, but I feel like I've been waiting forever! *lol* So excited and nervous!! I've always had large breasts but finally made the leap after encouragement from friends and someone who had her reduction 3 years ago. I met my deductible with my foot break this year, to I thought I'd just go for it! So happy insurance will pay for most of it- cannot wait for the neck and shoulder relief and to be able to wear cute tops! ;-) I will try to post more before photos before Monday! Updated on 20 Oct 2015: YAY! Done! I'm very sore, but only taking Tylenol for pain. So it's not bad. Mostly sore under and on he sides. Headed to doc right now to see if I need to start by Lovonox shots (to prevent blood clots) as I had one in Frebruary after my foot break. Thankful that my mom is here to schedule all of my medications and to do my drains. Can't wait to get those out!!! I'm much smaller- he said a small C and took 2lbs. out of each breast! Haven't seen the incisions yet... I almost fainted when I saw my mom do the drains the first time. Taking anti-nausea meds, too. Will update more, later! :-) Updated on 23 Oct 2015: Here I am at day 4. No pain meds and feeling fantastic! Had my drains out yesterday- ouch! Will be glad when those wounds feel better. So worth it! :-) Updated on 31 Oct 2015: Better every day! Pain still on the sides inside and a little underneath- I guess where I am stitched up inside. And I feel *tight*. I have been putting gauze in between where my bras rub. Today the nipples feel a little "raw"... I think from doing a lot of walking yesterday and having my shirt rub. Sleeping is a problem, still. Laying on my back is just not comfortable all night. Last night I was able to lay propped up a little on my side. But I still wake up over and over. And I've been having restless legs. Cannot believe I did it, still! :-) Very happy... now I need to lose the belly fat! :-) Updated on 18 Nov 2015: 4 weeks and feeling amazing. I've been battling a bad rash/ reaction from the tape/ glue. Ugh! So glad it's cleared up and I can focus on healing! How hard to you "massage" your incisions? That's been weird. They say I can return to real life at week 6... so after Thanksgiving I can start working on getting more fit so that these cute boobies go with a cute body!! ;-)
