The whole staff is amazing from the minute you walk through the door. Very professional and they all take their time answering your questions. Felicia the medical aesthetician gave me a great facial and Dr. Balshi knows exactly how to treat my face. I have been a patient here for a while and would highly recommend this office! Gorgeous setting!
Dr. Balshi has excellent bedside manner and the procedure was painless....his nurse practitioner Jennifer is very friendly and knowledgeable. The office is beautiful, clean, and the staff is welcoming. Dr. Balshi was easy to talk to and does not push products. Would definitely recommend!!
I wish I could rate this doctor and office below 1. I came to their office in December for a consultation for sculptra. I was in a desperate state of mind to get help. I was told i was a good candidate for sculptra. I was never told in detail the complications or if i would get hyperpigmentation from the injections. I also mentioned to Jennifer another dermatologist was charging X amount (this other doctor was more experienced) and she lowered the price so they could have me as their patient. I felt uncomfortable from the beginning but i continued to trust them. Jennifer is just a nurse and i was only speaking to her for my consultations. I thought it was strange that i could not have a conversation with the doctor. Eventually he spoke to me after i showed my concerns. He casually told me sculptra may help, it may not. He said he will help me even out the areas i wanted. He casually told me to stop taking Supplements one week before my first appointment. Had i known you need at least two weeks off the supplements, i would have changed my date. Just this type of misinformation caused me to suffer bruising and hyperpigmentation more than i should have. It hasn’t been five months and i still have bruises from his technique of injecting. When i arrived to my first appointment, their was no mirror in the room for me to show him where The areas of volume loss were. He simply just asked me to point it, he used a marker to mark them and after 30 seconds he said ok let’s get to it. He had Jennifer and two other women watching. I felt as if i was test subject or something along those lines. As if they never seen him perform sculptra on the butt. It was so awkward and rushed, i knew in my heart it was too late to turn back since i purchased the vials and i just need to trust the process as much as possible. He had spent more time on my right side than my left. I thought that was strange but didn’t questioned it because he should know what’s best. I have more injections marks on my right. My second appointment was a month later. again, the room still had no mirror and there was Jennifer and another girl waiting to watch him perform the injections again. Again he marked the areas , rushed me to lay down. I asked him what i can do about the bruises and hyperpigmentation and he recommended a lighting cream. I asked him why they did not tell me if i was at risk for hyperpigmentation when i have a darker skin tone and his reply was, “some people prefer the hyperpigmentation than the volume loss” i was in shock and just had no words. I never walked into this office to trade one problem for MORE problems. At this point i realized i just made the biggest mistake of my life and they only wanted my money, they did not care about my well being or want to help improve my appearance. Jennifer always looked at me concerned and never spoke up. My second treatment was the same, he injected more in my right than my life. The right cheek hurt more than the left for whatever reason he was more aggressive on this side but the left he was more gentle. as soon as he finished, he disappears from the room. Does not shake my hand or help reassure me what i will be expecting in the next few months and both times i had the treatment he did not even perform massages. I developed a keloid type of scar from one injection mark and have even more hyperpigmentation and bruises! I kept in contact with Jennifer through email hoping she would give me solutions. She said balshi just wants me to use arnica and lighting cream. They did not recommend any type of laser since i would get more hyperpigmentation. I cried the last time i spoke with them in person and walked out of their office. They refused to comfort me. I contacted the office manager and she said that Dr. balshi never put more sculptra in my right and he did put an even amount both sides. She said my results look great which is complete [RS bleep]. My right cheek has more volume and i now have asymmetry because he put so much more on the right. I’ve seen two other doctors and they both question why he put so much more in my right. I’m starting to think he just used me as some guinea pig to practice sculptra butt because he clearly has never done it before on the butt. I also now have two bumps under some injections marks. I am hoping the sculptra stops growing and my bruises and hyperpigmentation go away some day. I told them i was going to have my wedding this year , i didn’t want complications, if they were just honest with me and helped me by telling me i did not need sculptra, then i would not have all of these problems i have today. I’m now even more depressed than i ever was in my entire life. I just wish he told me everything that can happen with sculptra , i wish he was honest about his exerpience with sculptra butt and not decieved me for his benefit, i wish Jennifer was more honest and helpful. I wish they told me how dangerous sculptra is and what it will do in the future when it comes to nodules. They were careless with my body and even more my state of mind. I am now disfigured and ashamed to wear shorts or a bikini and i can’t even have my bachelorette party or my honey moon anywhere near a pool or beach because I’m so ashamed. I refuse to wear jeans because it shows my asymmetry. I wish i never walked into their office. They have ruined my life
I agree with Stephen Weber, M.D., a one inch needle is way too long. My preference is a 30 gauge half inch Turmo needle. I like to inject each muscle in four locations, placing about 10 units per injection. The procedure is often very well tolerated by the patient with little discomfort. Result begin in a few days, but unlike Botox in say the forehead area, it usually takes a couple weeks to see a true reduction in the size and strength of the muscle. The Masseter is one of our strongest muscles. Good luck
