Dr Lintner was great and his staff is very welcoming. He was highly recommended by a close friend but I did my research and consulted with a few other top rated Drs in the area and he was the only Dr that really connected with me and my goals. Some of the offices I met with were very stuffy and I felt like they were trying to keep up with the Kardashian styled clientele instead of normal people that need surgery. I had a breast revision, a lift revision and a full tummy tuck with lipo. I’m now 4 weeks out and after reading so many other reviews about the “ mommy makeover” and friends telling me their tummy tuck “was the best money they ever spent” it was probably the most painful & miserable surgery ever ! While I’m sure my final results will be fabulous and I’m happy with the results all I could think about were the reviews and info online saying that your pain would be gone by week 2…. And you could start living normal again besides swelling and tenderness, that was not the case it was a good 3.5-4 weeks before I somewhat felt human again. I’m still having some muscle pain from the stomach repair but it’s tolerable. The Drs office has been so good at responding to my concerns and questions and continued to reassure me that what I was experiencing was normal and then after talking with a few other people about having the same surgery they let me know that they also had a very similar recovery and really the 4 week mark was their turning point. Needless to say I’m glad to get to that point and look forward to the next 2 months when things really start to look great. My incisions have looked great since the beginning but I have had a lot of bruising and finally most of it’s gone. My lift incisions are so much better than my prior lift surgery and my breasts are full and round and will soon be amazing after a little more healing. This is my 4 set of implants - 23 years ago I had them to correct saggy breasts that did not come back after 2 breast fed babies - those implants ended with capsular contractures in the 1st year. The second set lasted nearly 14 years but I was having some “snoopy droop” and needed a lift - so 7 years ago I had a lift and swap but the dr went over the muscle and my incisions were not great nor were the shape of my areoles and I had some displacement of the implants due to size and nothing supporting them(745cc). The new lift and implant is so much tighter and fuller with a better projection under the muscle. The dr went with a Mentor memory gel boost high profile 775cc , he also did a dissolvable mesh inner support bra to help them settle into place while having support during healing.Overall I’m very pleased with the breast surgery. I didn’t hate my stomach before surgery but there was a small roll from 3 babies and it just wouldn’t go away with diet or exercise, so the tummy tuck/lipo I’m certain will be awesome soon but beware it hurts and you are pretty miserable for a solid 2 weeks and still in a lot of pain on week 3, the worst part is getting out of bed in the morning after the muscles have tightened up and it feels like someone is ripping your insides apart everytime you get up. It’s almost like you are a turtle flipped over on the shell and can’t get flipped back over. One day I hope to say “ it was the best money I’ve ever spent” and forget about the pain but today is not yet the day :) I do have to say that choosing this practice was the best decision and you won’t be disappointed and they do everything to make you feel better and are quick to respond to any needs.
Love Dr.lintner He worked with me after I was lied to in Miami. The office staff helped me squeeze into his schedule. DR.linter broke all the information down for me He made me feel welcomed and his bed side manner is everything . I love my results
Excellent.....I researched around several places and talk with several drs in other fields, they all recommend Dr. Lintner. I am so pleased with his work; the replacement of breast implants, neck lift, lower face and eye lift all in one day. The office staff are great, and the follow thru is excellent.
I have scoured the web & MANY Drs pages for information on re-augmentation. I didn't do it right the first time & had problems 6 months in. I had my first procedure in '92 and my right side capsuled in the first 6 months. 2 kids (breastfed both) and years later the right side had since calcified. After my surgery the picture of what he took out was gruesome. I can't believe I had that inside my breast this whole time. What a relief to have it gone!! I cannot even begin to express how much I am beyond impressed with Dr Lintner & his team. From the office staff all the way to the hospital, I know I have made the right decision for the best chance at happiness with my "girls"!! So very pleased!
I decided to go with Dr Lintner because from the first appointment I felt very comfortable with his approach and he took all the time I needed to get all my options explained about my Breast lift w Implants and modified tummy tuck. I had a modified TT w muscle repair. Swelling is slowly going away and now I have LOSE skin again? PS said I needed skin thighning treatment ...REALLY? $300 per session .. Ummm did I not just had a TT & All the Pain I been through, and no difference? I could cry, so frustrated!! Did any one have a modified TT and as soon as swelling goes away, ended up w lose skin???? Updated on 5 Feb 2016: 8 weeks today and still have lots of swelling in my lower abs. Scars looking better at my breast and TT.. It will take sometimes to get back on track. Very frustrating progress in my opinion. I am having a hart time to get my strength back in the gym and everyday life. Not seeing the progress I hoped for with the MODIFIED TT. I should have done better research. If I look back I wish I have never done it. The pain is NOT worth the outcome, at least not for me for the little bit of lose skin I had. I came in for a quick pick me up before starting my brand new job. I'm 49 and in sales. I had Juvaderm in several places and it was recommended to put it into the middle of my chin. I also had Botox on my forehead and chin. They didn't tell me the FDA has not approved either in the chin. A nerve was damaged and 1/2 of my chin muscle stopped working dragging down my lip. I looked like I had a stroke. It has been almost two months and the Botox has worn off and I still have paralysis that makes me look like a stroke victim. Dr. Litner was defensive, unkind, and didn't even offer a refund. He said he would refund my money if I signed a form stating that I would not seek counsel over the matter. Horrible experience! Dr. Litner told me this was "normal". He is defensive, unkind, and extremely thrifty to not even offer a refund. Beware ladies. Updated on 24 Jul 2015: It is almost August and I still have full paralysis on my lower lip. I have continued nerve damage. I take videos every week to show the improvement. There has been none. This is why the FDA has not approved these injectables in the chin. There is a high risk of negative response. Dr. Litner has done nothing to right this situation. Nothing. I would NEVER have plastic surgery with this man. Even if someone paid me to do it. His reaction to a negative outcome is reprehensible. Updated on 8 Sep 2015: Time has helped and everything will be fine.
So I'll be one week post op. I'm very swollen and can't really see all of my results. So I wnot speak on my results until I see them. Cons I've been waking up with swelling in my eyes I have no filling in some areas. I plan on talking to my doc tomorrow so I'll let you all know about that. I'm going through that oh i wanted to see instant results, not the case I promise. Lol I'm just going to play this by week and hopefully my drastica change comes. Updated on 31 Oct 2014: I had a great week1 visit. So I got my bandags removed and my scat is minimal. Yessss, I was so worried but, it's not really noticeable. I alsohave a correction my swelling of my eye nothing to worry about its because, I aka super troop wad sleeping oh so wrong. (DON'T SLEEP ON YOUR TUMMY)Thank the surgey Gods.....lol!!! Also, I saw my before and guys let's just say it's so worth the heal. I posted them see!!! So yayyyy one week down!!!! Updated on 17 Mar 2015: Life is great you either workout or you eat right to maintain your investment Updated on 31 Mar 2015: I can say since the my surgery now being 6mths pre op. I've gone through the strain of not liking the scarring. I put stuff on it but it's still very noticable. I'm planning on getting a tattoo to cover it. I've also been steadily dropping weight and it's cool but I currently have no butt. Not what I expected to happen, but yeah its gone. Other that no major complications at all. I've been enjoying my new body.
I started this process last year, having 3 consultations and doing a ton of research. Two out of three doctors told me I needed a full tummy tuck with muscle repair, and (to get the look I wanted) a breast augmentation with a lift. Two didn't recommend any lipo, wanting to do that at another time. I questioned the one who said I needed just a mini tuck (panniculectomy) (sp?), and didn't need muscle repair. He said that based on examination my muscles were fine, and that if it turned out otherwise, he'd make those repairs without additional cost. I agonized over the decision, and looked at before and after photos until I was nearly blind. I was terrified of making the wrong choice, and of ending up with an alien looking belly button. After not seeing mine for years, I realllly wanted to be happy with the results. I finally made my choice of doctors based on their reviews, photos, and my personal feelings about each. I decided on the doctor who said I only needed a mini tt. In the end I chose the doctor who had the friendliest (truly friendly, not the ones with the plastic smiles and forced friendliness), the doctor who made me feel most confident about my outcome, and the one who was most realistic, as well. We decided to do the mini tt, lipo of the flanks and upper abdomen, and breast aug with a lift. I couldn't be happier with my doctor and his staff, or with my results. = ) Two weeks post op I developed an infection and a seroma below my tt incision. My pubic area closely resembled a purpleish red grapefruit, and required daily draining for nearly two weeks. It was very disconcerting to see the amount of fluid that just kept coming back, not to mention the fact that it just plain hurt! I'm at about 4 weeks PO now, and still going every other week day to have the seroma drained. It's looking better, and doesn't hurt as badly as it did, and the color is notably more normal now. (Thank goodness! lol) This too shall pass! Even with the frustration and headache of the infection and sermona, I would do this over again in a heartbeat. (Though I would do it sooner!) I'm still a little puffy here and there, but I'm really liking my silhouette. The girls are dropping to where they belong, and those scars are looking better every day. Yes, I'm nearly 50. And yes..I WILL be wearing a bikini this year. = ) Updated on 9 Mar 2014: Tuesday marks 5 weeks out from surgery. The swelling/seroma has slowed notably, thank goodness. Hopefully tomorrow my Dr will remove restrictions. (Fingers crossed) My house realllllllly needs some attention! For a few days I've had a painful knot in my upper abdomen about 2 inches above my belly button. It's hard, nearly round and is maybe half the size of a golf ball. Now what? Hoping it's nothing. But, other than that I'm beginning to feel like a real person again. = ) Updated on 14 Mar 2014: Just a thought here...I see a lot of women reporting that they went out of the country to have their surgeries to save money. If I had chosen to do so too, it would have cost me a small fortune to follow up with a local ps. While they really were minor problems they are also common, and happened beyond the typical 2 week mark. I've had to make 14 trips back to my ps so far, but all visits for a year were included in his fees. (Thanks goodness!) I wonder how many ladies who do choose to travel for surgery end up with enormous medical bills due to complications once they're back home? I went back to my ps Wednesday. After a 4 day break from making the trip to the office every other day day (did I mention it's 100 miles one way? lol) he only drained 120cc from the lower seroma, yay! He says knot in my upper abdomen is from the lipo and that it should get better pretty quickly. I don't have to go back for two weeks unless the lower seroma swells notably (fingers are crossed, it still looks good), and I'm released to do housework etc, as long as I don't over do it. I'm still in a compression garment, a necessary evil I guess. He says (and I agree) that my scars look phenomenal, and they look better every day. I'll post some pics later. I stink at taking selfies, but I'll try to get some decent shots. Again, in spite of complications, I would so do this all over again! = ) Updated on 15 Mar 2014: Here are a couple of new pics. Still have a scab on one of the girls that I SO want to pick at, but I'm being good. I started using merderma (sp?) yesterday, hopefully my scars will lighten up at least a little bit. I found part of a stitch that is poking through..thinking about at least clipping it shorter so it doesn't bug me. Can't imagine that would hurt anything? It beats grabbing and pulling it lol I went shopping today. It felt so good to not to be stuck looking for tops that are long enough to cover my belly. Now I get to look for tops to tastefully show of the new cleavage. = ) Updated on 15 Apr 2014: I'm ten weeks post op today! Each day I think a little less about my surgery. The girls are starting to look a little less angry on the underside and have settled nicely. Getting weird little twinges of pain/sensation them, hoping that means I'm getting feeling back in them! I'm still sleeping in a sports bra to avoid the morning weirdness. They look fine but feel odd if I sleep without a bra. Hoping that subsides soon. My tt incision is looking pretty good, I think. I've had several places where stitches have worked their way out, and have several more that feel like there is more that want out. I was a size 12 before surgery, I've lost a few more pounds and have basically no swelling. I'm comfortably in an 8 now! If I overdo it my midsection feels like a very tight drum, and while it feels like it should be swollen, it isn't visibly much bigger. Weird, but thankful (so far) not to have the swelling everyone talks about. lol Hope everyone is healing well and in high spirits = )
After 3 children I had a a crunchy tummy. Even with enough cardio to complete 3 1/2 marathons I realized this was my only option. Dr. Thomas Lintner and his team brought my tummy back to life with flying colors!!! I am 8 weeks out and could not be happier!!!! My hubby says my abs look like 25 again!!! Updated on 25 Nov 2013: I thought it might be encouraging to document my road to recovery. Week 1 (Day1) serious mistake- left hospital without clear info on when my next pain pill was due. I got a little behind on meds- it's really important in the beginning to stay ahead of the pain. I got a handle and from that point not overcome with pain. (Day2-3) big deal for those days was going poop!! I finally let meds wear off took stool softness and herbal stimulants since day 1 and coconut oil and by day 3 got relief. Another really big deal. (Days 4-7) I began to be concerned I would never stand up straight again. My tummy was super tight- great results, but it took a ling time to get straight!! Day 7 my dressing was removed and I saw my tummy. I was thrilled. My drains were still putting out a good deal and remained.
I finally had enough nerve to decide to have breast implants. When I met Dr. Lintner I knew he was the one for me. He spent time talking to me and answering my questions. His staff was great too. He cared for me every step of the way. When I had questions he and his office were prompt. Love my results.
I agree with the other surgeons, you should if expect your stomach to look very nice after liposuction if you are truly a canidate for liposuction. If you have redundant skin or stretch marks, liposuction may not be your best option. Flanks are another great harvest site for fat transfers if your abdomen isn't the best option. Best of luck!
This is a great question, and it is often answered in many ways. I see alot of competetive fitness and body building competetors in my practice. Most, at consult, ask to have subglandular placement for their implants. On the surface, short term, it seems to be a great idea...less pain, less recovery, can give illusion of better nipple placement, back to the gym more quickly. But what happens in a few years, when your skin is not able to support your implant, or you get capsular contracture or both. Are you will to risk a return to surgery for a (usually) full lift just so you can continue to do yoga? And I'll tell you, that alot of my patience cintinue these activities, just not as quickly as they would like. The benefits of subglandular placement are very, very few. Best of luck as you make your decision...
Great question...unfortunately, someone boarded by the ABCS is generally an ear nose and throat surgeon not a plastic and reconstructive surgeon. Training for plastics is very specific and only surgeons with specific training in plastic and reconstructive surgery are boarded by the American Board of Plastic Surgeons. I would strongly recommend you choose a surgeon with ABPS credentials for your Mommy Makeover surgery
Thanks for your question, generally order of procedures is dictated by sterility. In my room, what we do is prone first, which would be your liposuction. Then, while you are still asleep, turn you to the supine position, breasts followed by abdomen. Which allows a totally new set up for the breasts, and keeps you from having to lay on your tummy after a panniculectomy. Best of luck with your surgery!!!
There is no perfect age for a Mommy Makeover, however I do caution young mothers that if you are not done having children, it may not be the most prudent use of your money. I do not recommend muscle tightening in Moms who think they may still have another child. Perhaps you could stage procedures, maybe liposuction and a breast aug if you feel very self conscious...and save the panniculectomy for a little later. Best of luck to you, and there is no rush for elective surgery.
