I'm very happy with the outcome of my surgery, Theo Birch is an excellent breast surgeon, my breasts have always been extremely large 12GG/14G right breast was slightly larger before surgery. I had the anchor method performed and now have pretty evenly sized 12E/14DD. Firm and nice rounded shape and nipples are both working normally and fairly even in size and position. The reason for 4 stars is I felt I was treated poorly as my surgery was performed as a public patient and I felt I didn't get treated as well or get the time and attention I would have in I was private, I had questions directly after my surgery as to how it went size etc but was given approximately 30secs of his time whilst he viewed the wounds. I was extremely sick from all the medications, instead of keeping me in hospital another night I was thrown on a plane back to Cairns whilst still vomitting and very unwell. A year later breasts are great and Im happy with the job he did.
Thankyou to the Valley Plastic Surgery team, especially Dr Theo Birch for going above and beyond to help rectify a previously botched BA. The whole team showed sympathy, understanding and were incredibly supportive throughout the whole process. Tory was frequently communicating with me via email and phone calls, keeping me in the loop about any progress or changes. Dr Birch was incredibly thorough, open and understanding about my situation. He took the time to ensure we were making the right surgical decisions and had me come back for several consultations to further discuss anything we had the slightest doubt about. On the day of surgery he was once again open, understanding and communicated exactly what he was going to do well. Understandably I was very nervous after such a poor previous experience but the whole theatre team made me feel very comfortable and calm. I am so thankful that I found the VPS team and Dr Birch. I cannot even begin to express how much I appreciate Dr Birch taking me on as a patient and trying his hardest to allow me to live pain free/ over the moon with the appearance of my breasts
Dr Birch performed breast augmentation surgery on me. I have 425cc round high profile under the muscle implants. Theo was very professional throughout the whole process. He really listened and understood the look I was trying to achieve and made recommendations in regards to achieving the desired outcome. He was very reassuring and answered any concerns and questions I had. Aftercare was also very thorough which helped me through every part of the process. I am extremely impressed with the result - couldn't be happier. I am 9mths post op. The surgery has given me so much more self confidence and I love the way I look and feel now. Absolutely no regrets. Highly recommend Dr Birch!
Dr Birch put me at ease, i felt confident he would do a great job and he did better than that....my breast implants 605cc as I needed the coverage as I'm broad across chest. Ive never felt so great about my body, i feel very in proportion now and dresses fit better and I feel amazing. He really did a exceptional job. They look fantastic. And No they don't look fake. :)
Decided to take the plunge and fill out all the low-cut dresses in my wardrobe that I've bought and never worn because of my lack of cleavage (large a/small b cup). The consult was pretty straightforward and after looking at my breasts my surgeon was able to make some suggestions on sizes which I then tried on in a croptop. Decided on the 330cc, round, moderate profile implants as they seemed like the largest size I could get away with while still looking natural (which was important to me). Surgery day came around quickly and was far less terrifying than I had anticipated (I had never gone under general anaesthesia before). Don't even remember falling asleep, just one of the nurses stroking my hair while I woke up and telling me everything was okay. I stayed a few extra hours in the hospital bed before going into secondary recovery (a room where you sit in recliner chairs until your ride home arrives) because I was feeling too nauseous to walk. After the room stopped spinning I was able to get dressed (with a lot of assistance from the nurse), sit down and have something to eat. The first night was great because I was still under the effects of the general anaesthesia, super drugged up and pretty much just slept until the next day. Started on cephalexin antibiotics and paracetamol+codeine painkillers, which work great but I can definitely tell when Im due for more because the feeling of pressure returns. That's all its really been like for me, pressure as if someone is sitting on my chest and I can't take deep enough breaths. This is only really bad in the morning as I don't wake up during the night to take my dose. My boyfriend pretty much did everything for me for the first three days, including pulling down my pants when I went to the bathroom and applying deodorant to my armpits cause its impossible with t-rex arms, trust me. Such a beautiful man. He even threw away my vomit bag (which I only needed once after showering for the first time, it is awful). Day 5 now and have just come home from my first post-op appointment, the doctor says they are looking normal and no infection, changed my dressing from a clear band-aid type thing to micropore tape, which was a massive relief as the adhesive was starting to irritate my skin and give me a rash. Also told me I can sleep flat on my back, which is great news because I was sliding into that position by the end of the night anyway. He also prescribed me laxatives cause things aren't moving down there lately (where does it all go?!) and I look about 6 months pregnant I am so bloated. They have already changed massively from the first day (thank god) and I know boob-greed (wishing I had chosen a larger size) is a big thing after breast augmentations but I can already tell they are going to be the perfect size for me! Happy days! Updated on 18 Jan 2017: Breasts have settled and actually look real. Final size is 34DD. They are amazing and I love them.
I chose Dr Theo Birch from rave reviews but had a completely different experience with him myself. From the beginning there seemed to be very little rapport built. I found him to be not particularly friendly & quite dismissive, he told me one thing then did something completely different when it came to surgery. My rhinoplasty result was mediocre at best & now I’m left needing a revision at more cost & surgery. I would not recommend Dr Birch, he definitely has a superiority & dismissive nature about him. Every appt I was left waiting for over an hour to be seen & then given very minimal time. My advice is if you don’t feel comfortable from the first consultation with him please don’t continue as you’ll regret it like I have. In my opinion I have wasted $14k & my self confidence has suffered greatly.
Thanks to this surgeon I am left in constant pain. I’ve been refused a revision despite a very uneven result. Any pre-existing asymmetry was not explained to me. I’m left with one breast that looks like it has sagged and the other looks like it has capsular contracture. This surgeon hides behind his receptionist and won’t address the issues. Please think hard ladies about the surgeon that you chose. I have also been contacted by other patients of his who are also unhappy with their outcome.
