Dr Ahmed has been my doctor for 4 years, he is simply amazing. He listens and discusses the treatment plan every single time. And the outcome is always perfect. His secretary is also very friendly and professional.
I could not be happier with Dr. Ahmed, the nurses and administrative staff. He truly has a gift. Not just surgical, but also his bedside manner. From the initial consultation to the actual surgery and follow ups this has been the best experience. I have wanted to get my breasts done for a long time but was hesitant because it is a major surgery. On the recommendation of a friend and after seeing her results, I looked at Dr. Ahmed’s work and being pleased with what I saw, I scheduled an appointment. After meeting with him, I knew that I wanted him to do my surgery. The initial consultation consisted of an examination, and a thorough review of the risks and rewards of breast augmentation. I left his office confident in our plan for the surgery. Dr. Ahmed and Nikki (his administrative assistant) scheduled all follow ups and checked on me consistently during my healing period. They were quick to respond to any questions or concerns I had and supported me every step of the way. The results are amazing and I’m so thrilled with everything they have done for me. I would recommend him to everyone and am thankful to him and everyone in his office.
I've had two complex reconstructive plastic surgeries done by Mr. Ahmad. Throughout both procedures, my experience as a patient has been phenomenal. I've received great care pre and post op from him and his team, and they make sure that I never hesitate to contact if I have any concerns or questions about post op care. I'm happy with the results Mr. Ahmad has been able to achieve, and thus feel more confident with my looks and the way I carry myself.
I have always wanted to change my nose since I can remember. One day, I decided to start the process and I researched surgeons in my area. Dr Tariq Ahmed was a surgeon who had very good reviews and a wealth of experience in Plastic Surgery. Obviously, I took my time to read reviews and to make sure that he was on the register of BAAPS - The British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons and I also contacted a lady who had left a review following surgery for Rhinoplasty and she very kindly corresponded with me via facebook messenger about her experience with Dr Ahmed. I made an appointment to see him at Cambridge Clear Beauty which is easy to get to for me and have never had a problem finding a free parking space. Its a quiet and friendly place where I felt very relaxed straightaway even in the waiting area where you are offered tea or coffee and have to fill in the obligatory forms with your details etc for their records. There was a short wait until I was called and taken upstairs to see Dr Ahmad. There is always another member of staff with you at all times when you go to see him. I was nervous but he put me at ease straight away, he was non-judgemental and listened to me and why I wanted the surgery. he then explained in detail what was possible and what was not possible. He is honest and realistic and goes into a lot of detail which may be a little over whelming at first but for me, it put me at ease to hear how passionate he is about his work and how experienced. He showed me many pictures of previous surgeries and we discussed in general terms what I wanted and what he could do for me and how he proposed to do it. He drew several hand drawn pictures and diagrams in an attempt to show me in layman's terms what he would be doing to my nose to realise the shape I wanted to end up with. He told me all the possible pitfalls, although I was very set on having this surgery and nothing was going to put me off and the percentage chances of it happening and whether it had happened in any of his previous surgery. Thankfully, he had only been asked to carry out two or three revision surgeries for the type of surgery I was potentially having and they were because the patient had not explained fully at their meetings with him what they wanted. I WOULD STRESS it is very important to tell Dr Ahmad what you DONT want as well as what you do want as he is not a mind reader and what you may think is a perfect nose may not be his idea of a perfect nose and each surgery is individual...there is no one size fits all nose and you have to take into account your face and the other features on it, so that everything balances. After some thought I made an appointment there and then and they managed to get me in within, I think it was 6 months or so. The date we set never changed or moved during the whole process and on the day of surgery all went to plan. I elected to have the surgery at The Nuffield in Cambridge and found the hospital to be professional, clean and friendly and I had all the necessary tests and blood test before surgery to ensure that I was fit and well enough to proceed. On the day of the surgery, although being nervous all the members of staff from the lady taking my dinner order for later that night, right through to Dr Ahmad himself and all the people in between - the nurses, the anaesthetist etc. were kind and professional and I felt very well looked after. Every step was explained fully to me and my family could stay with me until I went down to theatre. Dr Ahmad saw my shortly before surgery and we had another chat and then off I went. When I woke up I was not in pain just discomfort from where I had had the tube down my throat and I was sick from the whole process - just once and they sorted me out and I was fine. I spent an uncomfortable night trying to breathe out of my mouth and get some rest. I am not going to lie it is a little uncomfortable but the results were so worth it for me. It has changed my life. After going home and being in a nose cast for a week - I returned to the Nuffield to have the cast removed and although my nose was still swollen I could see the result straight away and cried tears of joy! My bruising has disappeared (mainly round the eyes) and the stitches were barely visable (these later came out leaving no scar at all). There have been several follow up appointment with Dr Ahmad and the aftercare has been so good, I even got a lovely bouquet of flowers from Cambridge Clear Beauty a few months after my surgery which I thought to be a lovely touch. It is now 18 months after my surgery and my nose is how it will be forever now and i love it. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Its not to be gone into lightly and research is so important, you are putting your life in someone else's hands essentially. However, I could not thank Dr Ahmad enough for how he has changed my confidence and my i am so happy with my new profile. The surgery was so good for me and it has made a huge difference to me but apart from close friends and family and people who knew i was having the surgery, no one else has noticed which i think is testament to Dr Ahmad's ability resulting in a natural looking nose that fits my face. I no longer avoid side on photos or have to ensure I am face on to someone all the time, I positively love being in photos now and don't care what angle they are being taken from. My only regret is that I didn't have it done years ago. I am 48. I wish you luck on your journey and cant recommend my surgeon enough. Best Wishes to you. JO DAVIS Updated on 17 Nov 2019: Some photos taken at cambridge clear beauty by dr ahmad before and of course after.. These photos are very close up photos but they show the shape of my nose before and especially the side profile which was my main concern and the final look when the swelling had subsided and everything had settled down ..
Mr Ahmad done a Septorhinoplasty for me a few months ago, from the very first consultation I felt comfortable with him, he answered all my questions, understood what i wanted and made me feel confident about the whole thing. My nose has always bothered me from being a child and using his skill and knowledge to give me this lovely nose really has changed my life and i cant thank him enough. 100000% recommend him to anyone wanting anything done, i wouldn't use anyone else, from start to finish it was the perfect surgical experience.
My whole journey from the initial consultation to the final one was amazing. I felt cared for all the way. I found Mr Ahmad to be really informative, professional and kind. He was always very patient answering all my questions! I had heard about how he would take his time suturing to achieve the best possible effect and I can vouch for his skills!
Having experienced the menopause and seeing how my body had changed I made the decision to have breast augmentation. I am very fit and active and feel that this decision would compliment my body. I felt very at ease with Mr Tariq and the Nuffield Cambridge was very comfortable, modern and clean. Overall my whole experience has been very professional and find it hard to fault my experience
Mr Ahmad said he would remove the hump on my nose - and he did! Wow! I didn't feel at all nervous throughout. I was slightly restricted due to other surgery I had already had to my nose - but Mr Ahmad was confident that he could remove the hump and improve the straightness of my nose. Definitely worth doing. Great experience!
Choosing to have surgery with Tariq Ahmad is the best thing I have ever done. He made me feel so comfortable and relaxed and I was confident he was going to do a good job and he definitely did. I absolutely love my new nose and would highly recommended Mr Ahmad as he is very experienced and an amazing surgeon.
I had non-surgical rhinoplasty 4 weeks ago. I am delighted with my results and would recommend Dr Ahmed for this procedure. The experience was very quick/painless and my nose is now straight as a result
Hello there and thank you so much for your question. Yes, it is possible to have an extra or 'third nipple', rarely even multiple nipples. Usually these extra or supernumary nipples are harmless and to not need treatment apart from for cosmetic reasons. Extra nipples usually sit on a line starting from the armpit, going down through the normal nipple and continuing on down to the groin; this is known as the 'milk line' or mammary line and if you consider some animals such as dogs, they have multiple sets of nipples going down such a line. If the blemish which you think could be an extra nipple is to the side of your normal nipple it is less likely to be one and could be something else, like a simple mole. A true extra nipple would be present, like your normal nipple, from birth; if it appeared after birth then it is not likely to be an extra nipple but would be something else. Although your possible third nipple lies to the left of your normal nipple and so then does not fit in to where they normally are sited, very rarely nipples can be sited actually anywhere in the body; it would need a full clinical assessment to be sure. I do hope that this answer has been helpful for you and my very best wishes to getting your concerns about it addressed satisfactorily.
Hi there, and thank you so much for this question. There are silicone implants for lips which could be used but I worry that in a mobile structure such as a repaired cleft lip, and particularly with inherent scar tissue, these implants, in my view, would be likely to fall out. I have seen this even in patients without a cleft lip repair. It would be much better to improve bulk and symmetry by equalising the muscle repair and possibly using a dermis-fat graft, which is your own tissue and once it has taken, it is yours forever. another option is to lift the lip or to evert it with multiple V-Y plasties or 'W' plasties on the wet red mucosa behind the front of the lip. Your would need to see someone experienced in this category of surgery of course, to individualise the solution to your particular probem. I do hope that this answer has been helpful for you and my very best wishes.
Hi there, and thank you so much for this question. This scar does not seem to have stretched overly much but may be still a little thick, and therefore tight. The profile of the arm looks very good, however. Progress in the healing process and maturation of scarring can be different in different individuals but some patients are prone to thick or tight scarring. Massage, pressure and topical treatment such as silicone gel or better still silicone gel tape can help; steroid injection can soften and relax the scar at the risk of the scar stretching. I cannot see the upper and lower ends of the scar but i will usually place a Z-plasty at the upper and lower ends to reduce tightness and bow stringing in the scar; if not done it could be another option to relax the scar. I do hope that this answer has been helpful for you and my very best wishes for your continuing improvement in the arm profile and scarring.
Hi there, and thank you so much for this question. It would be very unusual to be suffering the problems you describe, one year on from surgery and I would want to understand why this is happening to you. Sometimes liposuction can damage or bruise the sensory nerves in the upper arm, if any nerves were cut then they could develop into painful neuromas though I suspect that is not the case with you. Occsionally it is just a prolonged reaction of the nerves after surgery but if so the problem can be tackled by massage, desensitisation exercises or ancillary non-surgical modalies of treatment; sometimes if pain is severe even referral to a pain specialist - again I would not think that this would be the case for you but the basis of any advice would be predicated on you being fully assessed by a fully qualified and experienced plastic surgeon. I do hope that this answer has been helpful for you and my very best wishes for improving your long term outcome from brachioplasty.
Hi there; thank you for your question. The solution to your problem would of course be best addressed after a full assessment by an experienced plastic surgeon, particularly as the tissue under the chin in the anterior neck needs very careful management owing to the proximity of important structures. There are variations in the distribution of fat which would then dictate the best method to treat it... The options include non-surgical techniques such as cryolipolysis (Cool Sculpting) as well as liposuction; sometimes there can be excess skin left over which may also need to be addressed; another choice could be the so called 'trampoline neck lift' which is not as aggressive a procedure as the full neck lift. I hope that this was helpful for you; my very best wishes for you on your journey in improving the neck profile.
