morpheus8 is painful, but it gets rid of sagging skin and puffy circles around eyes. If you opt for bleph like celebrities like taylor, u will look at a bill upwards of 12k-14k, while repeating it every 5-10 years. Comparing it to morpheus8, even with continued maintenance at the most frequent interval (1 year) you expect to spend max $5,000 over the same time frame. Bleph you might redo twice during 10 years, which could mean worst case you are looking at $5,000 vs $24,000. Dr Nguyen is amazing at what he does and he opts if possible for the nonsurgical less invasive option every time.
Went to see Dr Tam At Silouette and decided to have this done on my lunch hour! Procedure took about 30 min start to finish and I felt great after and even noticed instant improvement in my “smokers lines” marionette lines and my eyes were also lifted. I have had two treatments of dysport, the first from Dr. Nguyen. Since I didn’t know what to expect I was very scared, he was very calm and it seemed truly empathetic to my concerns. He made me want to come back for other treatments despite the distance from my home. The 2nd treatment from a different doctor was not the same experience. I felt he just wanted $ and didn’t care about what his clients wanted as much. I know I will go back to Dr. Nguyen next time. Thank You.
I came in to get an IPL but Dr. Nguyen went over the possible negative side effects since I have pale skin. He said that the IPL could result in worsening the pigmentation I was trying to get rid of. He recommended microneedling which they had a great deal on. I decided to go with it and am so happy I did. It was very painful and my face looked like I'd just made it through a murder scene (blood). However, I have been impressed with the results so far. I have gone 2x (7/2/18 & 7/30/18). The pigmentation has lightened up and my pores have shrunk slightly in size. I have spoken to other people about their microneedling results and did not realize how important it is to have someone doing it who is aimed at results. Other providers do not go as deep and thus the results are not as noticeable. I do wish they had better numbing cream.
Ended up using two syringes of restylane refine. I think because I told him i wanted a more natural look. But if I New it was going to take this much I would have just used juvederm being it’s thicker and I would have had to use less. I think he should have told me that and gave me the option. I have older lips and it would have filled them quicker. Don’t get me wrong I love them but now I’ve used two of my three allotted syringes in my membership. Next time I think I will use juvederm. Anyway I have lips now and couldn’t be happier. I would love to have a bit more definition on top but without the fake look. You know what I mean. Also the first go hurt like hell and the second time was very comfortable and I couldn’t figure out why. I mean those needle pricks are killer and I have a very high tolerance for pain. Then I figured out that I waited longer for the Dr the second time so the numbing cream was able to sit longer and actually work lol not like the first time. My advice would is to no what you want even have pictures. They can shape your lips almost anyway you want. I really just wanted my center bottom done and we didn’t go out to the corners giving more of a pout. I also to him I wanted a natural lip line on top. I did not want to look like a “duck” so he stayed away from that except a little on my points. A good Dr will work with you and go slow do a little at a time while your looking in A mirror when your a first timer and a little scared and unsure. Next time I will be good to say hay just fill me up lol. And FYI you probably will swell like a “duck” but that does go away. I did enjoy the swelling and that’s what made me want bigger lol. Just like when I had my boobs done you always want bigger. But I suggest to go slow as you can always add an build on the lips. I hope this helps any middle aged women looking to get a little more lip love in her life. ** price per syringe is around $600-650 I believe But I am a VIP PLUS member so I only paid $150.00/syringe plus $110/monthUpdated on 15 May 2018: Really thinking I need more on my upper lip. Just afraid of looking silly. Updated on 25 May 2018: I knew I wasn’t happy with the outcome of the first two syringes of Restylane Refine. And I wasn’t happy with my upper lip looking like it had nothing in it. So I went back and and saw the RN Tracy and told her my concerns and she could see what I was talking about. She wanted to use Juvederm which I was going to request anyway as I was told it’s much thicker and I may not have had to use so many syringes up to this point. Any I just had them done last night so I have swelling but I love that she got close to my boarder and gave it some shape and definition I was looking for. I was supper happy when I left and can’t wait until the swelling goes down. I will see her in 11 days for follow up as I’m trying to get this all good for a family reunion/wedding June 9th. What I can say is there is a big difference in the two products straight away. You don’t feel restylane going in but you do Juvederm because it’s stiffer but it doesn’t hurt. You swell faster with juvederm and you most likely I did anyway hurt all night. I did not with restylane just sore. Another good thing with juvederm is once your injected you get very numb and each time after. I will post more after the swelling goes down!!
Hello, Based on the skin types, there are various options to thicken your skin. One of safest and easiest way would be with microneedling. Best wishes, Dr. Tam Nguyen
Ochronosis is associated with prolonged use of hydroquinone (generally greater than 3 months). Unfortunately, once you get, it can be quite difficult to treat especially with darker skin types (Fitzpatrick 4-6). You can try to various lasers but the safest and most effective would be pico-wave laser. Another option would be microneedling. Best wishes, Dr. Tam Nguyen
Hello Lilly, In general, wine can increase the risk of bleeding/bruising. Other than bruising, the wine should not interfere with the Botox. However, most people who enjoy daily glass of wine should not have any problem including bruising. Regards, Dr. Tam Nguyen
Hello, Yes there is masseter reduction surgery which is a little easier than bone shaving. However, the procedure is still pretty intensive procedure. This is also done in many Asian countries especially in Korea. I would just continue getting the botulinum injections. Like with the other injections for wrinkles, it gets better with subsequent injections. In addition to the Botox, there are other benefits with Dysport and Xeomin such a wider spread.
Yes, there are several options to help lift eyebrows. It can be done with botulinum toxin (Botox or Dysport). Xeomin can be used as well but there is a higher risk of worsening the condition. The lift is only a small amount but it can make a difference. There is also an indirect way to life the eyes with botulinum toxin by various techniques to the forehead and gabellar area (frown). In addition to the botulinum toxin injections, the eyes can be lifted with filler and various "lasers" such as radiofrequency and ultrasound.
