Absolutely fantastic. After two babies I needed my sad, sagging, pancake breasts to be pretty, perky and youthful again. Dr Hegstad completely fixed the problem. She is a refreshing find in the plastic surgery world: 100% down-to-earth, real human being. She's no-doubt one of the best in her field. I decided to have a breast lift with no augmentation. She was clear in her concern that I may not have much volume to lift in the first place, but I assured her I was not looking for augmentation - I simply needed to raise them up again; to regain what I used to have, however small they may end up being. Because of Dr Hegstad's constant calm and confident demeanor; the morning of surgery, I felt totally at ease, even though it was my first plastic surgery experience ever. Once the procedure was over, I healed quickly and recovered like a champ. Happy to report I am now restored to a happy, youthful and upturned shape and size. Scars are a non-issue as they blend in fantastically. Oh! One more major plus - Dr. Hegstad trimmed my areolas too. They're smaller and the nerves are still sensitive, nipples still get "out there" when it's a bit chilly....... maybe even more than before as I seem to constantly drive my husband crazy when wearing a tee shirt with no bra around the house.
I am a 44 years old, mother of 2 girls (ages 12 & almost 11). Both girls were breastfed for a year. I have always been a size D, DD. I have never got them professional measured i'm sure they would be like an F or G cup. I am 5'6" and i weigh around 150 - 160 lbs. After my 2nd child i lost about 30 lbs from dieting and running. My breasts became deflated like pancakes. So i decided to go in and have a lift. I ended up not only getting a lift but a silicone implant under the muscle. That was 10 years ago. I have since regained the weight & regret getting the implant. My goal is to have small breasts. I want to be able to buy a swim suit top off the rack. Plus a normal bra. I want to be able to work out without 2 bras or the mega enell bra. I'm tired of the bra digging into my shoulders, i want to be able to sit up & keep my shoulders back instead of having poor posture due to the weight of my breasts. My I am scheduled for surgery Feb 4th. Thank you to all the women who have shared their stories. This is a great resource. I will update with pics later. Updated on 27 Jan 2015: I have mentor 200 cc moderate profile silicone gel implants placed under muscle. Updated on 27 Jan 2015: Updated on 3 Feb 2015: Had my markings appt. today w/Dr Hegsted. Surgery tomorrow. I'm all ready to go for a 8:30 am check in, surgery at 10:30 am. Anxious and nervous! Updated on 5 Feb 2015: Day 1 of recovery. Surgery was almost 5 hours. Had a difficult time waking up after surgery. Stayed in recovery for almost 2 hours. Had some nausea & beltching. I wish I could take a look. She said she took about a half pound from each breast. I'm in a little bit of pain - more discomfort than actual pain. Thank you for all the best wishes! I'm so glad I did this & I am able to say that without even knowing what they look like. I feel like they are so much smaller. Updated on 17 Feb 2015: Got the drains & sutures removed on day five. The drain removal was unpleasant. But knowing they would be gone made it not that Scarey. I will take more pics tomorrow & update. So worth it!!!
