My TT is coming up in a week. I have been reading everyone's post and it does make me feel better.
No photos as of yet.Updated on 7 Jun 2012:The big day is tomorrow. I'm excited and scared all at the same time. I'm not too big on taking medication and I have never taken Xanax. It is prescribed to me to take one tonight and one in the morning before surgery. The meds make me extremely nervous. I guess if i would take them the anxiety would be gone. They will be calling me today to let me know the time.
I'm 5'10, 165-170lbs depending on the day, I have 6 children and gave birth to four of them. I'm looking forward to taking off the girdle, and looking good in my clothes without a roll. I have awaited this for 5yrs.Updated on 10 Jun 2012:Surgery went great. Day 2 post -op and all is well. Looked at tummy today looks fabulous. Dr. Removed 3 1/2 albs did some liposuctionUpdated on 10 Jun 2012:Doing good, a bit sore at liposuction sight. Tummy looks great. Hard to get around but hubby is fabulous.Updated on 11 Jun 2012:Day 3, tired, sore, and doing well.Updated on 12 Jun 2012:Today is day 4. I took a shower this morning. It felt really good. I'm swollen, lower back hurts, and bandage from belly button is off as well. Tired but I'm okay. I have my first doctors appointment tomorrow. I still have some stretch marks on hips and lower belly. Looking forward to what it's all going to look like at the end.Updated on 19 Jun 2012:Today is June 19, 2012, 11 days since my surgery. I'm getting around much better. I drove today and it was a bit uncomfortable. I had a drain and stitches removed yesterday. I have an appt. tomorrow to have the other drain removed. My question was where will the fluid go after the drain is removed? I was told it will hold up in your belly and dissolve, and sometimes if there's too much he will have to remove it with a syringe. I can honestly say I will be taking it easy. Apparently the more you do the more the fluid will build up. Good Luck ladies! I feel in the long run it will truly be worth it. The scale doesn't say it, but I have no more belly and my belly button is tiny which all and all is a good thing.Updated on 19 Jun 2012:I have uploaded pictures to my profile.Updated on 20 Jun 2012:Day 12 post-op and my doctor took out my last drain. I had one in each leg. I was still draining a large amount but it was starting to annoy me, it was red and looking like it could cause a problem. He told me I still needed to rest, lay flat, do not have a bend in stomach. No turning or twisting, walking is fine as long as I don't make sudden turns. He said the more I get up and down the more drainage I will have. So I'm up for taking it easy. I really don't want to have a lot of swelling. I do have some redness in one area of my incision if it continues to get red he will put me on an antibiotic. As of now he wants me to put a band-aid on it to hold it together it's starting to separate a bit.Other than that all looks good. Hope everyone is doing well.Updated on 22 Jun 2012:Rough day today. My incision keeps splitting in one spot, and bleeds with compression wrap. Laying on back most of the day is depressing and exhausting.Updated on 24 Jun 2012:I think I have seroma. I have fluid build up next to my incision. I lay flat on my back most of the day and it doesn't seem to helpI really don't want to have it drawn out but I may not have a choice. Has anyone else had this problem.Updated on 25 Jun 2012:I have an infection and Seroma. The excess fluid will be drawn out on Thursday. Not to thrilled about the whole thing. My doctor said this can cause other complications but he assured me we will get through it.Updated on 2 Jul 2012:Feeling Better! Doctor didn't have to draw out fluid on Thursday he said it looked much better. The Duricef and laying flat with an extra girdle on has helped. He has given me another 7 days of bed rest laying flat without much walking. My skin is very sensitive and itchy, and i don't sleep well at night in my bed so I always move to the recliner. Another check up on Thursday. Good Luck everyone.Updated on 14 Aug 2012:It has been two months since my TT, and all looks well. I went back to work two weeks ago and I do have some swelling by the end of the day. I've heard that is all normal. BB is very small and looks great. Hope all is doing well.
