Most expectations are that when you visit a dentist you cant wait for the procedure to be over and done. Upon entering the Drs office i was greeted by a friendly staff that put me right at ease. I filled out the paperwork and i was whisked into the examination room where i was introduced to Dr Goldy who with his gentle touch and his good sense of humor made me very comfortable. The procedure didn't last long and the time flew by and i was very happy with the results.
You must see an experienced dentist to have the remainder of your tooth removed/extracted. Perhaps it can still be saved?! Get to a dentist ASAP! Steven M. Goldy DDS
Yes, this is an emergency and you should see your dentist ASAP.Without an X-ray and proper clinical evaluation, its impossible to guess what your tooth will need, but it does look restorable (it can be saved). Ask your dentist about an Emax Onlay if your tooth does not need a root canal. If Root canal is indicated, an Emax crown will be your best bet.Steven M. Goldy, DDS
Yes, Veneers can often correct the appearance of crowded teeth. It is always best to consult with an orthodontist first. Each case must be evaluated carefully by an experienced and skilled cosmetic dentist . Ask to see before/after photos of similar cases to yours. Steven M. Goldy ,DDS
Without a good photo and X-ray it is impossible to answer your question. If you trust the dentist that is treating you, perhaps get 1 other opinion, (bring current X-ray of split tooth).Steven M. Goldy DDS
You should consult with an orthodontist regardless. Sometimes, a combination of minor orthodontics prior to porcelain veneers is the best option. The orthodontist and cosmetic dentist must communicate well for this to work.A caution to you is that without orthodontics, your 2 front teeth would need to be extensively reduced in order for a good esthetic outcome. This would put these teeth at risk for root canalSteven Goldy, DDS
